Highlight of our week!
Lots of adventure and sights to see. Broke up our week at a resort with this tour. Not for the faint of heart or someone looking for a luxury option. But you get amazing people (guide and driver) who make you feel safe and enjoy the beauty of the country. Robinson was our tour guide and made you feel like family. The lunch we had on this tour was authentic and probably the best food we had on our entire trip. If you are looking to experience something you won’t forget, I encourage you to give this a try.

Amazing experience definitely worth it
Tour was outstanding we saw so much of the island we wouldn’t have if we never went on the tour! Worth every penny, got too see not just the tourist parts but also the local culture. Sandy the driver was awesome and our guide was incredible and made sure everyone was taken care of the whole time.

Fun experience for beginner riders.
Excursion was great. The private option was definitely worth it. Our guides were both great. The horses were gentle and easy, which was good as we are all beginners. A little confusion on pickup, which was compounded by spotty resort WiFi. Not the operators fault but future guests should make sure they understand the pickup details well the night before. Pictures turned out great too.

A great view of DR culture!
This was a lovely day on our vacation and allowed us a view into the culture of the DR that you miss when staying only at the hotel/resort. I would definitely recommend! It is a fairly long drive, around 3 hours from Punta Cana. There is information provided by the tour guide along the way which was engaging and interesting. Once you get to the colonial city, the tour is a walking tour. The pace of the tour is great, but be sure to keep up when given a time limit. I lost track of time and was almost left behind in the Cathedral. A buffet lunch is provided at a local restaurant and it was really great! The beef was phenomenal, as well as the dessert "coconut candy." I'll be honest that we were a little hesitant about it by look, but it tasted so good! The souvenir market we stopped at in the colonial city had so many options of locally made goods. Bring cash (USD or pesos are both accepted) for a significant discount on your purchase, as well as to tip your tour guide and driver! On the way back to Punta Cana we stopped at a small chocolate factory which had a very short demonstration of chocolate making and products, and time to explore their gift shop for chocolate, bath and body products, and souvenirs (I included a photo of some of the hand-painted dolls they had here - absolutely gorgeous!)
