Wonderful private horseback riding adventure. Horses are very well trained, my guide was excellent! The beach and surrounding trails were beautiful.
Perfect adventure from the beginning to the end. Super safe transportation to and from the ranch. The ranch was breathtaking! Everyone was professional.

It was a lot of fun, longer than expected (in a good way). The only negative thing was we booked it as the private option, but the guides ended up picking up two other people that joined us. I just assumed “private” meant just us two.

We have the greatest time of our life, since the beginning from picking up us at the hotel, very friendly, knowledge people Rancho Regalo de Dios please if you have the come and experience the horse ride at Sunset right next to the beach. they take the time to explain to you everything about the trip and they’re not pushing you to go back..

I rounded up to give this a 5 star because overall the experience was wonderful but it’s probably more of a 4.5 star. I’m glad I read other reviews so I was prepared. The pick up was a a little clunky. When I booked the excursion there was only 1 option for pick up in Bavaro which was Hard Rock Hotel. We were staying in a resort down the road so we got a taxi and went to the Hard Rock for pick up. Since we weren’t staying on the property the security guard wouldn’t let us drive in to the Lobby which was fine but then we got a call from the excursion operator asking which Lobby we were at. There’s more than one entrance so after a few calls back and forth they found us and off we went to the Ranch. We did a private daytime ride that started at 10am. We are a family of 4. Mom, Dad, two boys ages 11 & 13.
We thought the horses looked healthy and well cared for. We enjoyed our ride through the Ranch, in some city streets , the trail and down to the river and beach. There were times it felt more like getting into the right position for pictures than enjoying the moment but I loved the pictures and videos at the end.
The guides did a good job, we have ridden horses some before so we felt comfortable on our horses. The guides did want us to trot a little more than I was wanting but it was so fun overall. I read some of the reviews on here prior to our trip so I knew we would be quoted a price for the pictures/videos at the end. We were quoted $150 and my husband didn’t feel like haggling so we paid it plus tip of $20 each for the guides. Gallagaraga (sp?) takes the pictures and he is a fun guy. He let my boys go around the ranch and look at the animals. They had 4 new puppies, chickens, turkeys etc and my boys liked that. The Ranch family was very nice. I would recommend wearing jeans or pants for the ride. After our ride, the driver took us back to our resort instead of Hard Rock which was nice as well. Overall we really enjoyed the excursion and would recommend it!

Almost 2 hours of horseback riding, so much fun! We went through open fields, the forest, and onto the beach. Lots of opportunities to gallop if you like!

The experience itself was actually wonderful. The trail through the jungle leading to the beach was beautiful, and riding the horses in the water provided a truly private, serene atmosphere. I felt like the sunset trip was exactly what I was looking for.
I especially want to thank the horse trainer and the young assistant. They were professional, kind, and made every moment feel special.
However, the business model regarding the "photo/video package" is disappointing and dishonest. Throughout the trip, they insisted on taking photos and videos for us, implying it was part of the service. They never mentioned a price until the very end, when they suddenly demanded $100.
It’s not about the $100—it’s about the lack of transparency. If I had been given a price list or an option upfront, I wouldn't have felt blindsided. Instead, it felt like my memories were being held hostage for a "surprise" fee. This "backstabbing" feeling completely ruined the high I was on from the beautiful ride.
To the owners: This tactic does not help your business. It turns a 5-star memory into a 3-star disappointment. People value transparency.
To future travelers: The ride is great, but be prepared to pay a premium for photos you didn't ask the price for, or just take your own.

We regret the incident with the photos. However, when the client makes the reservation, we show them what is included, and photos are not included, as the photographer will be providing their services at the ranch. It seems he forgot to mention that photos are not included and are not mandatory.
The vast majority of our clients like photos, and many ask us if we have photographers, as they want to take home a souvenir from their tour.

This was our favorite activity in Punta Cana. The countryside was beautiful and the horses were very well behaved. Our guide was friendly. Of note, the horses appeared to be well cared for and healthy. We LOVED it!!

Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't to be a part of a Yellowstone cattle driving episode or contracting a staph infection. The guys who picked us up had a hard time finding our B&B but thankfully we had someone who spoke Spanish around to talk to them. They were very nice! The ranch was small, the horses very dirty and obviously unkept. They asked us if we'd ever ridden and we all said NO so we were given a 30 second crash course on how to use the reins. My husband, myself, our 3 boys and two guides rode what seemed like forever through the town, through streets where cars would honk trying to scare the horses, through a wooded area that had deep holes(I'm was sure my horse would get break a leg and I'd have to witness...nevermind), the trail had NO maintenance, through thick tree branches that whipped in our faces and whoever was behind you got whollaped too. When we finally got to the beach-which was absolutely beautiful but littered with trash and horse manure from the other 20 horses on tours-we were rode for a bit to see the sunset. Sounds like that part would be fun but it was almost impossible to enjoy or take it in because the guides kept making the horses trot despite my husband telling them to stop several times-I was terrified our youngest would fall off and get severely hurt or worse. A few of the horses were NOT trained or docile enough to carry tourists who'd never ridden before, they also kept biting eachother, would scare and start off, and my husbands even reared up on its hind legs at one point! (quite a pic, husband wasn't amused). The horse my oldest was on was acting so badly that our guide had him trade horses with him. There seemed to be zero regard for my family's safety. And hey, I understand it's the DR and all that comes with that, but as a business that depends on tourism they need to do a much better job in every aspect. Oh, what about the staph infection mentioned earlier? Well that was from the disgustingly dirty stirrups that were not adjusted to my legs properly (I could barely reach them once my horse started basically galloping). One stirrup rubbed my ankle raw and it became infected for nearly two weeks! My entire foot swelled and ached. That pain went along great with the pelvic bruises, tailbone injuries, and thigh burns that, as we've learned from experienced riders since then, was the result of poor quality saddles. But hey, at least I can cross "riding a horse on a beach at sunset" off my bucket list! Not quite the experience we hoped for but certainly makes a great story to tell in a few years, after we've recovered from the fear and injuries. Thankfully we were offered the opportunity to purchase pictures that were taken along the journey for $100. We talked him down to $50 because the pic of my husband's face as his horse reared like the Black Stallion was worth every penny.

I'm not going to be hypocritical and thank you for your review, since it contains many lies, clearly intended to harm us, and we don't understand why. At the end of the excursion, I asked the group how it went, and they said the entire trip was excellent. Then, two weeks later, you make a lengthy comment without any proof or basis. Why did you never show us the scratches and wounds you claim to have sustained on the excursion at the ranch, and which we also didn't see? Whenever you speak ill of a company, do so with evidence. We have the photos that were taken, and we will upload them to our page as proof that your review is false. They clearly show our horses clean and beautiful, and you enjoying your excursion. The fact that the beach has seaweed and is dirty is not our problem, as it had rained heavily that week, and the horses get dirty along the way, but they never leave the ranch dirty.
And we want to clarify that we're not against bad reviews, as they help us improve and provide better service to our customers, but they should really tell the truth.

My family had a great time riding the horses. My kids that were 9 and 6 enjoyed it very well. My daughter was scared at the beginning but they made her feel so comfortable that she ended up loving it by the time we finish. I will definitely recommend them. Keep up the good work.

This was a beautiful experience.
They picked us up and we headed to the ranch, the horses looked healthy and strong. The first 20 minutes were a bit suspicious due to the path but once we reached the beach it was all worth it.
it was stunning and they made sure to make sure we felt welcomed. They helped us take pictures, and more! Would definitely recommend.

Excursion was great. The private option was definitely worth it. Our guides were both great. The horses were gentle and easy, which was good as we are all beginners. A little confusion on pickup, which was compounded by spotty resort WiFi. Not the operators fault but future guests should make sure they understand the pickup details well the night before. Pictures turned out great too.

Overall we had a nice time on our ride through the jungle and on the beach.
Pickup and communication was easy using Viator chat. The ranch is back a long, dirt road. Everyone was friendly although focused on trying to upsell us on souvenir jewelry and pictures of our ride ($60 USD per person for a video and pictures). The music on the video was crude so we definitely passed on both the video and pictures.
Be prepared to get off your horse at the beach so they can take pictures of you (or just say no) because they will need to help hoist you back on. We didn’t get to see the sunset but it was an experience we won’t soon forget.

Very friendly and helpful. We have ridden before so it was nice that they let us go faster than a meandering walk that you find on a lot of trail rides. They took great photos but bring extra money if you want to purchase them. We really enjoyed the beach and the ride through the trees.

It was an amazing experience!! It was our first time riding a horse and it was so easy and fun. Also the photographers were extra hardworking to take photos for us, they created a short
clip of us riding the horses at the end which was really funny and cool. Everyone is super nice, we went in the river, and along the beach shore! I recommend you try this when you visit punta cana!

Absolutely amazing! Tell your guide your level and then you will go through the ranch, small jungle and then you will be right on the beach. The horses are well- behaved and look healthy. We talked with the lady from the ranch and she talks about her horses with love and care. I would really recommend! Wear proper shoes and longer pants, it is a long ride 😊

The horseback riding was such a fun experience. The horses were very well behaved. We even got to run on the beach. Everyone was so nice. Galagaraga was such an amazing photographer! He took such nice photos of my boyfriend and me. He also helped us take cool videos.

This tour was great, they picked us up and treated us like family . As a regular horseback rider we recommend sharing your experience level. You will get the chance to run horses on beach which is cool! They picked us up, we rode horses from ranch through town to the beach. You can tip your guides when you get back to ranch directly or through credit card. Overall we had a blast and loved it

Good experience, nice sunset view at the beach with the horses. 10/10. My bf enjoyed so much because you could go as fast as you want to ride at the beach with no problem because the horses are well trained.

Overall was a great memorable time. Kids loved it! Thank you for the memories!!! Tip is not included and expected but again did not take away from the experience. The kids and wife enjoyed when horses were on the street, I enjoyed the beach and the open field portion.
