Day of decadence
From start to finish, this tour was a delight. Sergio was a true gem with his knowledge and kind hospitality along the way. I felt like I was on a little roadtrip with family and getting to eat some of the best parmigiano and prosciutto was the cherry on top. Grazie mille for a wonderful tour!

Top notch cultural experience
If you want to see local culture and history through food, this is the tour for you. We had an exceptional experience with Lisa as she took us around Parma trying a nice range of delicacies. In addition to being a warm and friendly host, Lisa is impressively knowledgeable. An A+ outing all around!

Fantastico food tour!
An amazing experience full of delicious food. We were treated to meeting several artisan food producers including behind the scenes visits to kitchen to see baking and pasta making and then delicious tastings. We were treated also to a variety of hams and different aged parmegiano cheese with Lambrusco.
All in all a truly delightful and tasty experience with our wonderful host and guide Barbara who answered all our questions and was able to give us so much information not just of the local foods but also the history of Parma. Thank you so much for a lovely day and would highly recommend this tour.

Great Parma and Modena food tour!
This was such an enjoyable and informative tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant! The parmesano-reggiano factory was fascinating to see the entire process from beginning to end! The parma proscuitto stop was also interesting, but shorter due to the process being more concise. But, Claudio was adorable and the samples were delizioso! The stop to Modena was a bit of a drive from Parma, but was still interesting to add on to our tour. The samples were good, but it was also a bit of a sales pitch to purchase (which we of course did). Overall, I would recommend the tour.

Exceptional Cheese tour
Fantastic tour! Highly recommend. The tour guides were exceptional and very knowledgeable and welcoming. Detailed view of the actual process of cheese making on an actual farm that produces/processes the cheese.. The tour provides transportation to/from the tour - excellent service. Definitely my husband and I enjoyed this tour very much & the tasting of cheeses and wine were superb.

Local Tour of Parma
Our guide, Lisa was fantastic. She provided a lot of historical knowledge about the making of parmigiana reggiano cheese and the process to cure Parma ham. She was friendly and engaging and the tour was fantastic. It gave you a great sense of pride about these family-owned business's and their contribution to the local economy. I visited with my two sisters and would highly recommend the tour to other families and individuals.

Prepare to be satiated with the most amazing food
This was an outstanding tour. Do not let the price intimidate you. It was well worth every penny to spend a day learning about Parmigiano Reggiano, Authentic Balsamic vinegar and Parma ham. Go on an empty stomach……. The tastings and the lunch were fulllfilling. The regions of Reggio Emilia, Cavriago and Parma were breathtaking. Claudia was exceptional at her job and you could tell that she enjoyed it very much. She taught us so much about the food we love. Don’t forget to buy some of the product as you cannot buy this anywhere else so treat yourself. Please give a lot of credit to the cheesemakers and the vinegar maker and the ham procurement team. Their jobs are labor intensive, and you will be amazed at what they create.

How it’s made
This is a long day and starts early. Observing the process for making Parmisino was very interesting. Our tour guide Sara stepped in to walk us through the factory b/c of an illness of the factory’s guide. Sara has a history with the process through her grandfather, so she knew exactly what went on throughout the process. We then went to see the process for making prosciutto. Also, very interesting. Both processes have a very strong odor associated with them. Lunch at the farm-to-table restaurant was a different experience for our group.

Highlight of our trip
An amazing tour! If you’re unsure if you want to spend the money, I’d say book it. It was the highlight of our time in Parma. It’s such an authentic and informative experience. Cecilia is incredible and has extensive knowledge about the parmigiano reggiano and balsamic process. My partner and I can not stop talking about how great this tour was. Thanks again!

Interesting and tasty food tour of Parma
Federico was an excellent guide. The places he took us to were amazing. We got to taste all the local specialties and he gave us even more info about things we were seeing in Parma.
Federico accommodated our late arrival because our train was cancelled and helped us to find foods for a member of our family who cannot have gluten. He’s also an interesting and warm person to speak with.

Wonderful Parma Ham & Parmesan Cheese factory tour
We were able to see the actual production process of Parmesan cheese at the manufacturing facility which was so interesting. The cheese we tasted were incredible. Then we also got to see the Parma Ham manufacturing facility as well and appreciated learning how to identify qualified Parma Ham. The ham we tasted was delicious and the experience was most memorable!

A foodie must
We had a fantastic experience learning about the history and process of how parmigiano reggiano is made! We visited a small farm outside of Parma, where we got to see everything, from the cows, to the cooking of the cheese, tasting completely unaged parmigiano reggiano, how the wheels are shaped, brined, and aged! Everything was amazing!
At the end we enjoyed a young and an older parmigiano reggiano, paired with balsamic vinegar from Modena, crakers from Calabria, and a local wine. 10/10 would recommend! Our only regret is not doing the prosciutto tour combo.
