Family with young children and we loved it!

We have a 3 and 6 year old and this was the perfect adventure we were looking for. Manolo was our guide and as all the reviews say, he really is great! He and the transportation team made sure our family had a great time and advised us well throughout our journey. We we were absolutely impressed with the Panama Canal as well as the wildlife we got to see! Bring hand sanitizer if you have little ones as well as long pants and sleeves, bug spray and sunscreen and hats.

Loved this tour. Rubin was a fantastic tour guide, and he speaks English very well. The indigenous people were generous with their village and belongings and we loved learning about their way of life. The waterfall was so fun, easy hike, refreshing water to swim in, and beautiful surroundings.

What a fantastic tour! Jeny was an AMAZING guide and was so knowledgeable about the monkeys, local flora, and the canal area in general! I was traveling solo and it was a great activity! I literally had a capuchin monkey playing with my hair! Highly, highly recommend this tour!

Our family had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting the Panama Canal, and our tour guide Gorge made the day truly unforgettable. From the moment the tour began, he was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly engaging. He explained the fascinating history, engineering, and operation of the canal in a way that was easy to understand and enjoyable for both adults and children. His passion for Panama and its history was evident throughout the tour. He patiently answered all of our questions, shared interesting facts and local insights, and ensured that everyone in our group felt included and comfortable. The timing of the tour was perfect, allowing us to witness ships passing through the locks while learning about one of the world’s greatest engineering achievements. What stood out most was his warm personality and genuine care for his guests. He went above and beyond to make sure our family had a memorable experience, helping with photos, recommending local attractions, and making the entire day seamless and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour and especially our guide to anyone visiting Panama. Thanks to him, our visit to the Panama Canal was not only educational but also one of the highlights of our trip.

Memorable in a great way!

I enjoyed this experience. The hike was good too but I wish I would have been told that my feet and my jeans would get wet during the hike. We didn't plan to swim so we just wore jeans and sneakers. Our guide stopped so that we could purchase plastic shoes on the way. I really appreciate that!! I wish we had known before though and that way we would have dressed differently. Otherwise we had a lovely time. Travelling in the canoe was wonderful and meeting the Embera people too. I enjoyed the food and fruits, they were delicious. I also enjoyed learning about their customs and seeing the dances. I also note that the entrance fee of $35 was not highlighted initially when I booked the tour. This gave the illusion that this tour was cheaper than others. That can be misleading for people who are on a budget.

Great Time!

We had an amazing time! I truly appreciate their hospitality and kindness. We had a lot of laughs and the places we went were amazing!! We got to swim in the ocean near an island and then the second stop was at a beach on the other side of the ocean. The food was good, but most of all the crew was awesome!

Running My Fingers Thru Panamá's Locks

The tour was all I had hoped it would be! I remember reading about the Gaillard Cut (aka the Culebra Cut) back in elementary school. To cruise through this monument to human endurance and engineering ingenuity was a thrill. It was equally thrilling to enter the original hundred-year-old locks, sharing the chambers with a gigantic oil tanker as we descended in stages from Lake Gatun to the Pacific Ocean. The staff was friendly and the bus and boat were very comfortable. My only complaint is that the check-in process was hot and hectic. I got there quite early to myself time to find the check in spot (which turned out to be fairly easy. It's a small office-like kiosk outdoors, next to the big Panama letters.) But no one was there until 15 minutes before the check-in time and no check-ins were done until 5 minutes before the check-in time. In the meantime, travelers must wait in an area with little seating and less shade. However, once that was done, you can enter the air-conditioned bus. So, all was soon well.
