Great D-Day Tour
This was a great day tour. Boy is very knowledgeable and obviously a lifelong learner. He will not talk your ear off, he’ll calmly guide you and answer questions, then bring up stories he has learned or been told by vets. My husband has done some reading so had plenty of questions—it made for a rich experience. Bring water with you, it’s a long day with a nice stop for lunch, but wished we had water with us!

A must, but only if you can handle the crowds.
Bring your patience and wear good walking shoes! It’s worth it! Magnificent abbey sitting atop a village surrounded by water. The abbey is so interesting and historical with so many stories told by the guides. The village is VERY crowded which makes it difficult to navigate. We walked down from the abbey on the outside of the village to avoid the crowds. I think the most beautiful vista is approaching the abbey from the bus that brings you to the foot of the mount.

Nice easy tour with free...
Nice easy tour with free time in Honfluer and Deauville. Driver and guide were both great. You only get a little more than an hour of free time in each location after the guided part of the tour. Not really enough time for a sit down meal if that’s your plan, but enough time to get a taste of the area.

Band of Brothers Tour April 4th 2026
The Band of Brothers tour by Overload was an amazing experience. It was a day full of history regarding the Normandy invasion and the story of members of Easy Company. We made many stops throughout the area including Omaha Beach and the American Cemetry. We were given time to explore these areas and many more. In addition, we were brought to a small village with several options for lunch. Our tour guide, Guillaume, was extremely knowledgeable and could have spent days sharing the details of D-Day. I would highly recommend requesting Guillaume as your tour guide!

Comprehensive D-Day Tour
Noemie is a phenomenal guide! She provided historical context and visuals to make everything come alive. Utah & Omaha beaches with the bunkers, defense lines & positions of the allies were unbelievable. We visited a museum & ended at the Normandy American Cemetery when the flag was lowered and taps were played. There are no words to describe the feeling - except our deep gratitude to all service members! Our guide was flexible & so easy to be with. We highly recommend a private tour!

Mont St Michel with HQ Company Tours
We had a wonderful tour of Mont St Michel with Michael from HQ Company tours. He picked us up in Bayeux, drove us in a comfortable minivan to Mont St Michel and dropped us back in Bayeux. The tour was 8 hours in total. Mickael was a well informed, engaging and polite tour guide who gave us a great tour of Mont St Michel. I would recommend this tour highly and especially, Mickael.

Paris by bus and boat
It’s a long ride to Paris. (3 hours) The River tour is a must do. You get the view from the water of all of the famous landmarks. Sit on the outside and soak it all in. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out all the details. The bus driver did an amazing job and even provided champagne to toast all that is France. ♥️

Great one day tour of Paris from the cruise ship in LaHarve
Great quick one day tour of Paris from the cruise ship. They picked us up from the cruise terminal The driver was amazing. Drove the big bus so smoothly. Great driver. Tour guide joined us when we arrived to Paris. He was very knowledgeable (Maartin) We saw everything we wanted to see touring the city from the river boat tour. Also apart of this tour. We got off the bus for photos of the Ethiel tower and walking around the arc de triumph for shopping. The tour arrived back to the ship with a hour to spare. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend this day trip to Paris.

D Day Omaha Beach Tour
We booked the Omaha Tour for 20th Sept 2025. Pascal our guide from the company Ophorus was outstanding.
His knowledge is excellent and passes this on in a very interesting and friendly manner with some humour thrown in.. We were a family of four from the UK. It was a pleasure to meet Pascal and recommend this tour to anyone thinking of doing this tour.

Most amazing and...
Most amazing and informative tour! It was incredibly fun traveling in a jeep that had been used in WWII! We got to see hedge rows up close! Our guide Adrian was so knowledgeable about all aspects of the Normandy invasion! I highly recommend this trip!

Highly recommend Overlord Tours
Excellent tour; I highly recommend Overlord. Our guide, William, brought history to life. He was knowledgable, friendly, and enthusiastic. I have a much greater understanding of what happened on D-Day. I was particularly moved by the individual stories of heroism that he shared with us. The tour ran smoothly, I never felt rushed, and we saw so much in one day: Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, St. Mere Eglise, Pointe du Hoc, the American Cemetery, as well as a bridge and a church with interesting histories. The van was comfortable, and our group was a nice small size. Memorable day!! Merci, Gillaume!!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
World War II history, UNESCO-listed monuments, Belle Epoque beach resorts, and medieval cities: Normandy has it all, and you’ll only scratch the surface of what this region offers on Normandy day trips. With just one day, focus your explorations on a particular area or sight, whether visiting France’s most famous island monastery, following the path of Allied soldiers at the D-Day beaches, or hopping between the picturesque coastal towns of the North. Normandy is close enough to Paris to be a day-trip destination, but you’ll be able to see even more if you start from Bayeux or Le Havre.
