Overall very good...

Overall very good experience. Easy communication with the operator. We didn't buy our tickets for the castles and only noticed it the night before the trip. We left a message through viator but it was already past 9 pm so we didn't expect any response and were already prepared to not get inside the castles. However, the operator called me within 30 min of our message. She did not only help us resolve the issue with the castle tickets, but also offered us an upgrade to a smaller group because the original trip was overbooked. It was a very pleasant surprise. The trip next day went smoothly and we enjoyed our time.

The Best Tour To Neuschwanstein from Munich.

We specifically selected this VIP premium tour, which primarily focused on Neuschwanstein, and to a lesser extent Linderhof, with a short visit to Oberammergau. We were really pleased with this excursion - the extras and the restricted number of participants in particular. Quite active (needed a certain level of fitness) - a lot of walking and especially steps inside Neuschwanstein. Would have liked longer in Oberammergau, but limited by time constraints (it was still a 10 hour trip). Ursula was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Worth the extra costs.

We had a very enjoyable day. We liked the option to choose between the alpine coaster and Oberammergau village. Lunch was very good. Both of these activities just added to the castle experience. Our guide Tyler was amazing - knowledgeable, friendly and well organized!! Definitely recommend.

The Neuschwanstein castle has to be seen to be believed. Linderhof was very nice too! You're not really in the Alps in Munich so this tour was a great chance to enjoy beautiful scenery and see two amazing sights. Kilian was our guide and he had everything planned perfectly and timed to the minute. He gave everyone enough free time to explore, eat and drink to your own preference and made sure we knew when the tour started, when we'd need to catch the shuttle, and how much time to allow to get back to the bus. Spectacular experience.

This was a very informative and complete explanation of how Hitler and the Third Reich came to power, going as far back as the late 29th century. In doing so we saw much of Munich and its beautiful buildings and spaces. Sam, our guide was very articulate and knowledgeable. He put together a very complete account for us. The walking portion was excellent and not too long or far for my group (all in their late 60’s). Well worth the time and money.

Spring in Salzburg

We had several days in Munich and decided to do a day trip to Salzburg via train. The highlight of the trip was Mat, our guide for the day. Mat was knowledgable not only in the history of Salzburg and Austria, but also in the history of the region, especially from the mid 1800's through the cold war. Although this was a trip to explore Salzburg, we learned a lot about European history, and how it affects the world today. There is plenty of free time to explore different parts of the old city, including the fort if you were so inclined. I would recommend lunch at the Steigl Brewery and coffee and torte at Cafe Sacher.

We had a fantastic day visiting Neuschwanstein Castle, and the Linderhof Palace. The tour was very well organised, and everything ran smoothly. Our guide Cansel and driver were amazing - Cansel took great care of us and shared valuable information that really enhanced the experience. It’s a long day with a lot of walking, and you really need to be fit to manage to whole day of walking but absolutely worth it. A great way to see these incredible places stress-free.

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Our driver and tour guide were both wonderful; educational, funny and polite. The drive was pleasant, and the tour itself was perfect! Just enough time to have a bite to eat, explore the town, do some hiking around Mary’s bridge for some amazing views of the castle, and then an indoor tour with time afterwards for souvenirs and quick beverage before heading back. I personally feel doing both castles in one day would be too rushed. 10/10 would recommend this tour!

Perfect Way to End Our Trip

We had an amazing day with Sandro! He was very informative and kept us all on schedule so we were sure to see everything. The castles were fantastic and our whole family enjoyed this day trip. The countryside was beautiful and we liked having a driver so we didn't miss the amazing scenery. He gave us a lot of history of Bavaria and its Kings. He recommended a great place for lunch in Oberammergau. He even made sure we had some extra time at the end of the day for our kids to play in the snow at the last stop. We had been on a river cruise and stayed a few extra days in Munich so this was our last day of our vacation. It was the perfect way to end it. Sandro even went above and beyond helping us reclaim our luggage that had been lost for 10 days from the airline. We mentioned that we had been trying to get our bags that we tracked to Munich airport and he called a friend to help us. He sent messages all day to his friend while we were touring and they were able to find our bags for us before we flew home the next day. We had been trying for 10 days without any luck.

Great Trip!

Very good, informative trip. The museum was great and walking through the underground tunnel system was fascinating. Beware that if the weather is bad, you can’t go up to the Eagle’s Nest, which was a major disappointment, but not the tour company’s fault since they are focused on safety. They made up for it with extra time in Berchtesgaden, a beautiful medieval town.
