Nice tour. Small group. Easy travel by Public Transportation.

JOHN_M, May 2026
The brewery was pretty limited, but the guide did a great job hosting the tour. He was knowledgeable and fun to spend the evening with. There might be a better place to end the tour than Hofbrauhaus. Crowds and noise (Friday night) made it difficult to interact with guide and others on the tour.

Very knowledgeable of Bavarian beer and local items. Noel did a great job of interacting with the group.

Beers and cheers

Stephen_O, Nov 2025
This was a fun way to spend a few hours. Noel met with us in the Marienplatz and we took the metro (fare included) to one of the major Munich breweries. We were able to go into the basement and see some of the industrial equipment and learn about the brewing process. We then had a beer and pretzel upstairs. Next we headed to a different bar where we learned about Octoberfest and had some more beer. Finally, we ended back at a giant beer hall near the Marienplatz. Overall this was great fun. Noel was knowledgeable and his personality and experience made the tour. Highly recommend.

Great tour

Excellent all round met some amazing people and the host was superb and give us loads of information

Waste of money.

T_H, Jun 2025
DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR.... You do not get to go to a real brewery it is a small micro brewery in the basement of a resturant. We were all put at different tables. We do these tours to meet other people. You could do this on your own. We did not go to the Hofbrauhaus (beer hall). The guide took us to a cafe. Our group had over 32 people. Tour was advertised as 24. Our guide could not handle this many people. Use a different tour company for your tours...

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Hello, yes, you are correct. It's a small micro brewery. The big brewery are industrial companies where you see nothing. Everything is in stainless kegs and pipes and computerized. Here in this brewery it 's still real crasftmanship. Kind regards Ralph

Delightful tour by top-notch guides

Erich_S, May 2025
This was an excellent tour with very kind and fun guides. Thomas & Steve were knowledgeable and shared their love of beer and Munich with our group. They even adjusted the itinerary to bring us for a visit to the Fruhlingsfest grounds, which was truly unique and much appreciated. I did a different beer tour years ago and this tour was far more enjoyable. You can't go wrong booking this tour, thanks again Thomas & Steve!

Norwegians on tour.

"Met the guide at the agreed place and time. Traveled to a brewery where we received an introduction to beer brewing and a tour of the microbrewery. We were also served beer and pretzels. Then we moved on to the next watering hole with a new beer. After that, we continued to Hofbrauhaus where we spent the evening on our own. The guide was very enthusiastic and accommodating. All in all, a good experience that can be recommended.

A great big thank you to our tour guide Thomas

Jane_D, Mar 2025
Guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable, good sense of humour, talked to everyone in the group to make them feel included. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend.

great experience!

Kathleen_M, Dec 2024
Really fun and interesting experience! Is less of a brewery tour through Munich and more of a visit to 2 beer halls and more learning about the beer history in the country/city--but looking at it more that way, it was a good introduction/educational session on beer-making and history and a fun way to meet people and have a few drinks for a night!

Fun time

George_H, Dec 2024

Great night with our guide, Irish Noel. He was very knowledgeable about not just the breweries he took us too but also gave us great tips on sightseeing. Thanks Noel from your Aussie mates.

Anthony_P, Jun 2024
Had a great evening in Munich town! Michael was very informative and happy to talk about anything related to beer and more…… Had a great time, met 3 other people from Perth, so that was a weird coincidence, but we all enjoyed ourselves very much. Highly recommend- get onto it!

Excellent and informative tour

matthew_h, May 2024
Interesting and well run brewery tour with Thomas, thomas created a comfortable atmosphere on the tour and was a great experience all round highly recommend

Good fun and informative.

Brian_M, May 2024
This was an enjoyable tour. Thomas, our guide, explained things well and managed the group well (there were 19 people I think). We learnt new things about beer and the history of beer making in Munich. We had fun trying some new beers with other people in the group. The overall ambience of the tour was a sociable one,

Shouldn't be sold as a brewery visit.

Karen_C, Mar 2024
Shouldn't be sold as a brewery visit. We made the most of it and we had fun meeting up with other people, but this is a pub crawl. Firstly, you will visit a restaurant bar to have a pint. Then you will go to a bar owned by Paulaner's. That's the only brewery you will see and don't expect anything big, it's just the brewery for the bar itself. The guide did a great job explaining the processes, but bear in mind that the entrance to the bar is free and the only good thing is that you will access to the fermentation room and the beans room. Then, after having a drink at the bar, you go to HB, which is also free and open to the public. The guide brings you to the bar and leaves you there, there are no reserved seats, so if you go in high season, don't expect to be seated.. I'm writing this review just because I felt cheated with description and hopefully someone else finds it useful. I'd say if you want to visit these 2 places, you'd be better doing it on your own, no need to spend this much.

Response from Host, Mar 2024

Dear Karen, the tour is called beer and brewery. Which means that not only brewerys are to be shown. You saw a brewery which is the Paulaner. It also doesn´t say to show you the main big Paulaner brewery which isn´t in the citycentre. Yes the brewery is, if you compare it to big brewerys, a bit small. The entrance isn´t free to the brewery. We have to pay entrance to see all the technic. And it´s actually a restaurant too and not a bar. Yes, the entrance for the Hofrbäuhaus is free... But you would miss a lot of informations about this historic place without the guide.

Great time with Noel!

Emma_B, Feb 2024
We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Noel, can’t recommend enough! He made it a truly interesting experience with not only information on the Bavarian beer and breweries but also historical facts and tips for our stay. If we could give home more than 5 stars we would! His tour was one of the highlights of our visit.

Happy
