Birthday to remember!

This was the second time we have taken a tour with 2travel amigas! It’s the perfect tour for friends and family. They provide alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and the vibe is festive but just fine for children to join. I traveled with my 5, 20, 23 yo nieces. It was one of my nieces birthdays and they even decorated the boat for us! Cassie made sure it was a trip to remember!

Amazing Mexico City Food Tour

My adult daughter and I took the amazing Historic Center Food Tour in Mexico City and loved every minute of it. The five hour tour included such an interesting and fun range of food choices, all in a different type of place, from slightly upscale restaurants, to tiny places at the Mercado San Juan to a street food stall and traditional cantina, reaching each place by winding through the historic center. Our guide, Angel, was knowledgeable and friendly, making the day both fun and informative. The food was absolutely outstanding, and introduced us to aspects of Mexican cuisine that I hadn't experienced. Everyone in our small group was friendly. Be prepared--it is truly a full afternoon of walking and eating, but I can't imagine having such a full experience in less time! I highly recommend this.

Such a wonderful experience in which I didn’t only get to sample many unique and delicious Mexican dishes but also learned a lot about the history and architecture around Roma. I love all the flavorful ingredients and sauces, as well as the stories behind them. My guide was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. And the group that I had was super fun as well! The tour is well worth it and I’m glad that I signed up for it.

We had the most amazing day with Axel learning about this history and Mexico City, visiting the markets, eating delicious food at family owned restaurants, learning to navigate around the area including taking the metro and making salsa with Estelle and her family. Axel is a wealth of knowledge and it shares it like the best history professor you could imagine. He is so passionate about his country and dives deep which we all loved. He truly went above and beyond for our group. We got way more than we expected and I’m sure it will go down as a highlight in our travels.

Chef Pame was the star of the show during this outstanding cooking class. There were vegetarian and gluten-free options available. We started with an appetizer and agua fresca while Pame introduced us to evolution of Mexican cuisine. She then guided us through Mercado Medellín, which included samples of fresh tortillas, chocolate, insects, and local fruits. Upon returning, Pame's energy was infectious. She provided high-energy, educational, and hands-on guidance to all the prep stations. We made sopes, tortillas, salsa roja and verde, mextlapiques, mole blanco, and pan de elote. Everything was delicious, and we made salsas of varying spice levels. I've had the pleasure of taking several cooking classes around the world, and Pame's class was easily my favorite. I left with an appreciation and understanding of the cultural significance of Mexican cuisine. Pame's love for her country, cooking, and profession were inspiring. We can't wait to plan a return visit to Mexico City to take another class with Pame!

Fun, Flavorful, and Worth Every Minute!

One of the highlights of my trip to Mexico City. We visited a local market, purchased authentic ingredients, and made tortillas, salsa, guacamole, ceviche, and margaritas from scratch. Great instructor, great food, and lots of fun. I left with a full stomach, new skills, and a deeper appreciation for Mexican culture. Highly recommend!

Amazing archaeological tour!

Alphonso was such an incredible tour guide! We lucked out and got a private tour with him, and his archaeological and historical knowledge was astounding. We had a great time learning about the history of Mexico with him, discussing art and pottery, and our shared love of coffee! He went above and beyond and gave us a 3.5 hour tour, because he kept remembering important objects he wanted to share with us. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone! It gave especially important context to the museum that you just wouldn't get without a guide.
