If you are on a cruise ship, want flexibility around pick up and return to Taormina then this is for you. Salvo’s perfect English and careful driving glued the day together, he was waiting for us at Gate 5 as we got off and in around 30mins dropped off at the main gate of Taormina. After a couple of hours exploring we visited the beach for a quick relax and dip before heading back to Messina sites - all with the confident of an on time return. Great day packed with a variety of experiences. Not cheap but well worth the spend.

It was fabulous to be invited into Stephania, Franco and Georgia’s house. We had an amazing time making ravioli, fettuccine and tiramisu. The food we made tasted amazing and it was so lovely seeing how Italians live. The three hosts were very kind and welcoming and we left feeling like we had a one of a kind experience. We would all highly recommend this experience!

Our tour guide,Gabriella, was very informative and helpful with any questions we had. She even pointed out several places to look for a certain perfume I was hoping to find while in Taormina. She also gave us tips for places to eat lunch or try cannoli. She truly seemed to want to help us learn about the area and enjoy our time. Also, our driver Antonio, was very professional at getting the bus up to Castelmola and back down the winding road.

Outstanding Travel Experience

Carmelo was such an excellent guide! I was worried about getting enough time on Mt. Etna and feeling too rushed going from the cruise port but Carmelo made EVERY moment count. The entire drive he was educating us on Mt. Etna, the science of volcanos, the history of Sicily, the region, Messina, and sooo many more things! He took us to so many other cool stops for food and the gorges, just truly an amazing experience! Alex was also and amazing driver, cannot recommend this excursion enough!

Great tour & guide

Our tour guide Michael was great. He was very informative and friendly. He explained the area and it's history well. We had free time to explore on our own. It was a good pace of sightseeing without being rushed. Michael was very courteous to us and also patient to wait for another couple that was supposed to join us, but never showed up. We highly recommend Viator, their tours are worth it and their guides are professional and great.

Greta day off the cruise ship

The perfect excursion from a cruise ship. Easy to book and easy to connect with tour guide. We had an air conditioned van and our group was small which I liked. Cristiano our tour guide was great! He delighted us with the rich history of the area and made sure we enjoyed all the key sights to see! Rally enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend if you want an efficient and enjoyable tour.

A little bit of everything and more!

If you want to see a little bit everything, this is the tour for you. It was so good! Salvatore our driver was so careful and prompt and informative as well and Olegsandra, or guide was so informative and easy going, we had so much fun with them. It was a just what we wanted to see everything and have time for Taormina as well. Would highly recommend this tour, there are several surprises in store they have planned as well, I won't spoil the fun, but it was a perfect day.

An Amazing Day in Sicily

Excellent tour guide in Catania. Sicily, Italy. I may mot spell it correctly . Cheers to Carrillo. He gave excellent instructions where to meet us by the cruise port. We saw everything and even did some shopping. Beautiful historic sites and architecture. Castelmola was picturesque. Our tour included visiting a family owned cannoli shop to watch them make the delicious treats . We each enjoyed a cannoli. Our day ended with tasting arancini and almond wine from the region. His English was excellent and his car was clean and cool. We invited him to come visit us in Texas and we would take him to a Texan livestock show and rodeo in Houston . It was an amazing day.

Wonderful tour with Mariarita

This was a really fun and informative tour led by Mariarita who had a great sense of humor and gave of a lot of tips on foods to try and things to look out for in each port. The communication was excellent as well. We were on a cruise ship and made it to the stops and back to the ship in plenty of time, but do be prepared for a bit of drive to get to the destinations. Thankfully, great AC on the bus, which was especially welcome on a hot summer day.

Great places to visit in Messina

Our driver/guide, Andrea, picked us up at the port and drove us to Castelmola, Andrea walked us around the hilltop village and took us to a famous landmark bar and restaurant, Turissi, known for its whimsical-themed décor. We then walked around Taormina, a beautiful town including a visit to the Messina Cathedral and the World’s Largest Astronomical Clock. Before heading back to the ship he took us to a cafe for a Sicilian granita and brioche bun. A great day and tour!
