We had a wonderful day exploring the East Bank.
Our tour guide Salwa was extremely knowledgeable and informative. We were picked up on time, she guided us through the Karnak and Luxor Temples. She explained the history and meaning of several drawings/ writings in through detail, took our photos and gave us time to take photos as we went along and also in the end.
She was easy to chat to, really friendly and made our tour very enjoyable.
I did a private day trip to Abu Simbel from Aswan, and being solo made it perfectly relaxed and flexible—no group rush, just me taking my time.
The temples blew me away. The Great Temple’s huge facade with the four massive Ramses II statues carved into the mountain is stunning and imposing up close.
Inside, the detailed reliefs and halls are incredible, especially the inner sanctuary with its mystical vibe and famous sun alignment story.
The smaller Nefertari Temple is equally gorgeous, with elegant statues and beautiful carvings.
Big thanks to both Hanys! Driver Hany picked me up on time in a comfy, AC car, drove the 3-hour each-way route smoothly, kept me hydrated, shared fun facts, and stopped for photos—his friendly professionalism made the drive enjoyable.
At the site, local guide Hany was excellent—knowledgeable and patient, he explained the history, 1960s relocation, symbolism, and hidden details, answering all my questions while giving me plenty of time.
Early arrival meant fewer crowds and beautiful morning light for peaceful photos and reflection. Everything was seamless and well-organized.
Highly recommend this private tour—the temples are ancient wonders, and with driver Hany and guide Hany, it was stress-free and unforgettable. 10/10!
Best activity during our 10-day itinerary in Egypt - I fully recommend it to everyone. Pick up was easy at 4:30, and upon arrival we only had to wait for about 15 mins before we went up in the air. It is a truly unique experience and the sunrise made it even more special. Our captain gave us a minimal but humorous explanation of the view and handled the flight perfectly. 10 out of 10.
We had an absolutely incredible experience with our tour guide! From start to finish, everything was seamless, engaging, and thoughtfully planned. What truly stood out was how knowledgeable and informative they were — every stop came with fascinating history, local insight, and stories you wouldn’t find in a guidebook.
On top of that, they were amazing at taking photos! They knew all the best angles, lighting, and hidden spots to capture the perfect shots. Not only did we leave with unforgettable memories, but we also have beautiful pictures to prove it.
Professional, friendly, patient, and passionate about what they do — I couldn’t recommend this tour guide more. If you’re looking for someone who will elevate your entire experience and make it both educational and fun, this is the one to book!
We booked the package that included the tickets, lunch and the tour to both east bank and west bank. We toured with Taha, a very knowledgeable and experienced archaeologist. There is a lot to learn and many things to see and Taha managed to cover a lot and also focus on our interests. We had lunch at a very nice family place close to the valley of the kings and also visited a local business with alabaster artifacts.
Great half day excursion. With the newer road only takes about 4 hours. Hassan was a good guide. All three places were very worthwhile with well preserved and colourful carvings, especially at the artisans village where they were so complete and quite unique.
We had an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and went into detail about the sights we visited. A stop was made at an alabaster factory, which seems like a tourist trap, but it was low pressure; overall the tour was hassle free, as described, and very enjoyable.
Khalid was an exceptional Egyptologist who brought the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temple to life. The pace was perfect, the explanations were fascinating, and the lunch provided was absolutely delicious. A flawless private tour from start to finish.
A huge thank you to our driver Ali who was absolutely incredible!
Very accommodating, super nice and always smiling, he accompanied us with great kindness throughout the entire day. Even though we didn’t book a guide, he still shared interesting information about Luxor and the sites we were going to visit by ourselves. He didn’t have to do that, but he did it with pleasure, which made our experience even more enriching.
He was always perfectly on time to pick us up at every stop, and he made sure we could enjoy our day to the fullest, without any stress.
Out of our whole trip, this was our favorite excursion — and that was largely thanks to him.
We will keep an amazing memory of this day. Thank you again!
Great trip! Read all the bad reviews before and was really worried but it turned out perfect. The Hot Air Baloon Ride was amazing and we felt very safe.
After that we had Dr. Mo as our guide and he explained everything perfectly and not too long. We we‘re really flexible and it was a beautiful half day tour.
Thank you so much. Definitely recommend.
Ahmed Omar was a great guide for this full day tour of the temples and tombs. The private tour is recommended, as it allows for a more intimate learning experience. He always checked to see if I had any more questions. A very thoughtful guide. A nice lunch to finish the day.
This tour around the pyramids was truly unforgettable! Our tour guide Osama was fantastic — knowledgeable, passionate, and very engaging. We got plenty of time to walk around and take photos. Osama was very patient during all our photo shoot and even participated and directed us in some of our poses. I highly recommend this tour.
As Egypt’s one-time ancient capital of Thebes, Luxor boasts numerous antiquities. But it’s also within easy reach of many other historical highlights, so it’s a dream destination for day-trippers. Topping the agenda are Luxor day trips that showcase West and East Bank must-sees such as the Valley of Kings’ tombs with an Egyptologist guide—some include extras such as lunch and hot-air balloon flights. Other Luxor day trips venture further afield to the Dendera and Abydos temples, explore Aswan or UNESCO-listed Abu Simbel, or even go snorkeling in Hurghada on the Red Sea.
