Baghat was an excellent tour guide with amazing knowledge and passion. His English was very good and he explained everything to us in an easily understandable way. He has a strong passion for Egypt and its history, he provided many interesting facts along these lines.
You will be very lucky if Baghat is your tour guide, especially as he is ‘Thutmose lll grandson’ 😁
Great experience, skilled team. We got lucky with weather, but prepare for uncertainty is involved... (e.g. we had no beuatiful sunrise due to some thin fog and clouds, but at least our flight was not canceled - might happen if there is a strong wind). Our captain was very skilled and funny - he had full control over the flight so we felt safe.
We went on a tour of East and West Luxor banks and it was definitely the best guided tour I ever been on! Our guide Ahmed was absolutely fantastic, passionate and extremely knowledgeable. He answered every question we had, even the most detailed ones and gave us space to explore on our own. Apart from that he was just a great person to be around, friendly and warm. The rest of the tour was great too- the car was great, the driver was lovely and the lunch was absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend it enough!
Good communication before the day, pick up was on time. Sadly due to the wind conditions it was cancelled after we got to the site however that is beyond their control and they were very apologetic. Offer of another day or a refund without question so I highly recommend booking with this company for piece of mind and the best safety considerations.
Absolutely amazing experience. We weren’t the first ones to take off as there were around 3 different staggered take offs but we got amazing views of the first round of balloons taking off. It was looking like our tour was going to be cancelled due to the wind but somehow my prayers were answered. Abdullah was really friendly and explained what was happening. Definitely worth it for the early start. We got picked up and dropped off aswell.
We had an amazing full-day private tour with Hosney as our guide. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. He contacted us in advance via WhatsApp, explained all the details, confirmed the pickup time and location, and everything went exactly as promised.
The tour itself was fantastic. Hosney has very good English and an incredible depth of knowledge. He explained not only what we were seeing, but also how the temples were built, how they were meant to function and why specific scenes are depicted in certain places. He even brought visual materials and pictures to help us better understand things we would never notice or understand on our own.
What I really appreciated is that he actively engaged us during the tour, asked questions, and required our full attention, which made the experience much more interesting and immersive. It truly felt like a personalized experience — he clearly said that this was “our day” and that we could adjust anything we wanted along the way.
Water was provided as described in the tour, and although lunch was not included, he took us to a great place with delicious local Egyptian food. We were very satisfied.
Overall, this was one of the best tour experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommended if you want a deep, well-structured, and truly private tour with a professional guide.
Beautifully organized trip from on time pick up to perfect sunrise view in the air. This tour is exactly as advertised. The pilot was very experienced and absolutely amazing - ensuring we lifted off, floated, and landed in the best locations, with everyone getting a chance to see and take great instagrammable pictures over the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, the exact time of the sunrise peeking over the mountains & Nile River. Sindbad team was responsive over WhatsApp, answering all of my questions in advance day & night. Thank you Lily! Highly recommend.
We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the valley of the kings and Karnak. Basry our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Only complaint was compared to other tours this one was not all encompassing meaning we had to buy our own tickets which means we occasionally had to wait in line. Basry was great highly recommend him as a guide
If you're interested in the best views of the valley of kings and the surrounding area, nothing beats this tour. Or guide/pilot demonstrated incredible control, precision and accurately launching, guiding and landing our balloon. He set it down on a dime. 🙂
Really good trip. Fascinating to watch the sun rise while a field of hot air balloons were being blown up. The hamper was large and fit 16 passengers (4 per compartment). I got a great panaramic photo when the pilot rotated the balloon. So glad I had a wrist strap on my phone so I could take photos leaning out of the hamper.
Great tour that let's you visit all the important places you want in Luxor. We were in Luxor for the day and this tour was ideal for day visitors.
Shareen, our guide and Mr. H, our driver, were both very good and patiently went around the sites explaining the history. Highly recommended.
Krystal and the family valley of kings and hot air balloon
Our family had an absolutely incredible experience with Valley of Kings and the hot air balloon ride! Dr. Mo was an exceptional tour guide, truly a brilliant Egyptology professor, and an equally skilled hot air balloon pilot, making our trip unforgettable. The drivers were also fantastic, ensuring smooth and comfortable transfers throughout our journey. Just a heads-up for future travelers: if you're paying by card, confirm they bring the machine with them. This was a truly five-star adventure we'll cherish forever!
While Luxor’s ancient sites are dazzling at ground-level, their scale and symmetry shine from above. Luxor hot-air balloon rides float over the West Bank and offer views of Karnak and the city at the most magical time of day—sunrise. Choose a private or group flight, enjoy included hotel or cruise transfers, and soar over mountains, tombs, and monuments cast pink by the dawn. Remember, too, that not all Luxor hot-air balloon rides are the same: while most include refreshments, pilot narration, and flight certificates, others encompass extras like post-flight breakfasts and private all-day tours of Luxor.
