We were very lucky that the weather was perfect as if the weather isn't suitable they have to cancel for everyone's safety. Everyone was professional and guided us through every step. The teams that set up the balloon was quick and the captain of the balloon was charismatic amd informative.
The views were also stunning it was an amazing experience.

Great experience with flying the hot airballoon. Our pilot was a very experienced one with interesting facts of the sights. Best to note if you have fear of flying to consider the participation.

They picked us up at 5:30 and we arrived at the location after 10minutes. We waited a whole hour to ride the balloon. Lack of management, lack of guidance, total waste of time. There were alot of hot air balloons and also a lot of poeple. Everyone went up and eventually our group was the last to go up. Then what is the point of arriving early at 5:40? We did not even go above the king's valley as written in our agenda, just stayed in one place in the sky and went back down. Also the guide kept disappearing so it was hard for us to ask when we were going to ride.

We believe the details of this experience changed after we had booked. Overall it was good if you had the right expectations going into it. Unfortunately many things we were looking forward to weren't part of the experience anymore after these changes but it was a good activity.

Be prepared for the company to message you at 12:30am the morning of your tour and tell you they are picking you up an entire hour earlier (4:40am) than planned. We were then rushed and demanded to be ready 20 minutes before the time they told us they would be picking us up. Once we got downstairs we were then scolded by one of the company’s staff members that we were “late” until I showed him physical proof of my whatsapp text messages with their own tour company representative that clearly stated we were ready at the correct time we were told. Once you get to the field where the hot air balloons take off the groups you are put in and times you actually fly are completely random. The tour company said they changed our pick up time last minute because there were going to be “bad weather issues” later that required us to fly earlier, but we actually ended up flying at the same time we were originally scheduled to with not a single weather issue. We basically were robbed an extra hour of sleep and arrived extremely early to the field for no reason. What we found out during the tour was that all of the hot air balloon companies in Luxor are ran by the same people, so just go with the cheapest tour! The actual hot air balloon pilot and crew working on the balloon were extremely kind and the ride was smooth. Overall we enjoyed the actual hot air balloon ride but not the complete lack of organization of the tour company.

Honestly don’t bother.disappointing is an understatement!! Pick up was half an hour late,despite providing a pick up point and getting confirmation the day before. Once in the car, we drove 5 min to the port and sat in the car for 1 hour, with no explanation as to why. After an hour we drove to the hot air ballon point and again waited standing around for about 45 min with no communication as to what was happening. We suddenly were told to just get in the van as the flight could not go ahead. Severely disappointed as we were very much looking forward to it. The lack of communication and punctuality was annoying, especially having to wake up so early. They all spoke English so there was no reason to have not communicated effectively. When we back the accommodation, we could see that the tour company had sent us a text apologising about the cancellation, but as we had no day, we had not been aware.Also bare in mind that the cheapest flight is later and not at dawn in which you are able to see the sunrise. They have said they will issue a refund in regards to the cancellation, but we shall see.

This hot air balloon ride was magnificent and everything went according to plan! Marolla from Nice tours was super helpful before and after and was always in touch. We even got upgraded to a breakfast afterwards. We saw all the wonderful views of the Valley of the Kings. Captain Ahmad was a great pilot and ensured safety. Highly recommend

What an amazing ride! The view is astonishing and you also fly above amazing history. So worth the time and money. It's a most do in Luxor. Marolla was supper helpful and evem gave us an upgrade to to first trip with sunrise view. Would do it again

Pick-up was supposed to be at 5:30 AM. The night before, the operator said it would be at 05:50 AM. We waited in front of the hotel and were finally picked up at 7 AM!!! The lady kept lying to us on whatsapp (trying to blame the balloon company or bad weather, although other tourists were up in the air, telling us constantly that the driver will be there in 2 minutes etc.).
Despite the photos taken at sunrise, the trip is not a sunrise trip. It’s not even in the second wave of balloons going up in the air. The sun was blinding by the time we got in the basket!
Totally ruined our experience. Buy from another operator.

The hot balloon ride was wonderful and everything went out as planned: they picked us up at the hotel, we used a boat to go to the other margin (with coffee as an offer) and then joined a larger group of minibuses to go to the launch place. There, we watched as the balloon got inflated and then stepped up towards an unforgettable balloon ride, with wonderful views of the valley of the kings mountains and the green margins of the nile and Luxor. The captain was very nice and made sure to always keep the balloon (slowly) rotating so that everyone could have access to all the views (inside the balloon we were on a fixed small "basket" of 4 persons, so that weight balance was always kept).
Before, during and after the experience, Marolla (from Nice Tours) was always in touch (using WhatsApp) and made sure everything was going well.
All in all it was an amazing experience and I would definitively recommend it!

We were picked up from our hotel on the west side of the Nile (not one of the ones listed in the pre-booking) at 5:40 AM. Driver was early even. We were driven to the port on the west side of the Nile, where we congregated waiting for all the other balloonists for our time slot. I think there were about 20 mini-buses that road in unison with police escort to starting site. We were offered a personalized video of the balloon ride for $15 a couple. We declined the offer. The photographer doesn't go up with you, but does get you in the ascent and descent. The rest of the video must be stock video. The basket is split into 4 quadrants with the captain in the middle section. Each quadrant holds 5 people. They disembarked each quadrant one by one and 5 people got in, and then they did the next quadrant. We flew up and around over the valley of the kings, queens, German house, nobles tombs for about 45 minutes. It was fantastic!!
We had originally booked for Friday morning, but it was cancelled because of the wind. The company very easily switched us to Saturday morning. So I would plan for this event and don't save the ride until your last morning.
Nice Tours offered us a free boat ride with breakfast. I'd skip this part. I think our group had a couple that didn't show up and it seemed like we were waiting for quite a long time for them. The motor boat we were in went back and forth across the Nile several times. The breakfast included eggplant, beans, bread, something like fried quinoa balls which were delicious, tomato and cucumber slices, and soggy cold french fries that probably would have been warm if we had left the port on time.
Marina did a great job communicating with me ahead of time and through the rebooking.

Well-organized and the tour agency has been communicating with me before the trip to ensure everything went smoothly.
Though the driver was delayed to pick me up from the hotel and there is also a slight delay on the way to the site, the group still managed to board the Hot Air Balloon on time for the sunrise. The ride tooks about 45 min and it was sufficient to enjoy the amazing views below.

First of all - it's an incredible experience, very friendly staff and unreal views.
This being said, the pickup time was moved more than an hour back the night before, meaning we went up well after sunrise (the captain said we were one of the last balloons to go up that day). Also, while the itinerary said the ride would be between 45-60 minutes, it actually was only around 32 minutes (I timed it).
Of course it was a great experience, but just a bit disappointing as it was not for sunrise, just morning, and shorter than expected.

Elaria booked us in very fast after we booked the flight with viator.com and told us about every necessary step.
Mustafa picked us up early in the morning with a nice bus and drove us to the harbour where we took a small ferry to get to the other side of luxor where the next, very new one, bus waited for us to get us to the starting side of the balloons.
The flight itself was beautiful and with the upgoing sun and the background of the valley of the kings and other temples of the ancient egypt culture you do everything right with booking this ride at nice tours!

It’s outrageous to pay for an activity and once on D-Day, no car comes to the meeting place. I waited 35min for a driver to pick me up at the pick-up place to take me to the activity but no one came. Cannot contact the organizer or Viator support. This is shameful! To flee!! I would not recommend it at all.
