This Luxor sunrise hot-air balloon ride experience starts with easy, early morning pickup from your hotel in Luxor. After boarding a vehicle, make the way to your balloon’s launch site.
Once at the launch site, listen to your guide as you hop on the hot-air balloon, and get ready for your ride above Luxor. Your balloon soars above the city and the Nile River at sunrise, giving you amazing views of top attractions such as the Statue of Thebes. You can also enjoy provided snacks before your balloon lands back on the ground.
Back on land, get a souvenir flight certificate before you get dropped back off at your hotel.

Very bad experience with Viator and Sheba Tours. We were informed by the tour operator that the event is cancelled and refund will be issued, but still haven’t received any refund. Viator support team also does not reply to any communications. Very bad management.
This activity is not at all recommended. The tour operator scammed us and did not issue refund.

While other balloons hovered and traveled over Hatshepsut temple and even valley of the kings, our balloon just went up in the parking lot stayed there for a few mins and came right down. It was a very disappointing ride.

This is over priced for the tour. They showed up late. Then had us sit on a boat for 30 min and we ended up missing the most beautiful part of sunrise while other tours were on their balloon. Don’t waste your time with this your.

We paid 100U$D for a "Sunrise Flight" but our Balloon was late to climb up into the air. All the other balloons were already high up in the air when our Balloon got deflated and loose. My wife got panicked and scared. The Magic of climbing up in a dark dawn was lost. The company ought to return the money debited from my bank account because they did not do what they had offered. We trusted them but were deceived.

Please beware of booking anything with this company it is a complete scam!!!!
Communication with the operator is impossible, I messaged them on several occasions prior to my arrival in Egypt to confirm pick up time at the hotel, I had no response.
A couple of hours before the window to cancel to get a refund expired someone finally messaged me ( convenient, right?). Even here the communication was not great, they would take ages to reply and still would not provide any precise info.
Anyways, they ended up cancelling due to bad weather which is completely understandable but now they are not proving a clear explanation on how to proceed for a refund. Please save yourself the headache and do not book with this company

Scam company DO NOT BOOK THIS they don’t exist , we travelled to Luxor especially for this , tried contacting Sheeba Tours but the company number mentioned on website do not exist, nobody in Luxor seems to know them , I finally got a message from some other company person that you have a pick up at 530 though we had booked for sunrise , we requested them to do as per itinerary mentioned in our booking but they bluntly refused . Left with no choice we decided to do the 530 AM ride , only to wake up and realise nobody showed up we kept waiting and no one came no numbers available no way to contact them , spent so much money and could not eventually do the ride
Soo soo sad about this whole thing it’s better to book from hotel directly to stay away from scamsters HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL

I don’t recommend Sheba Tours.
We paid for a sunrise balloon trip. The day before they called us to say that we have to pay more to this trip otherwise we will have to be in the next slot without a sunrise.
After discussions with others people in the balloon, it happens the sale things for them.

Total fraud. A sham. They never showed up. Google Sheba yours reviews and apparently they’ve been doing this either lost recent reviews/clients. They don’t answer texts ok WhatsApp or phone calls but it shows they read the messages and the phone was active number. Viator send an email with request to get my refund. If I don’t get it my family lawyers will file lawsuits. It’s not about the $86, it’s about integrity and trust. Do not use this company please. Try to find some local company and set things in person. You may get better deal than booking online.

It was an absolute pleasure, and the entire staff was fantastic! THAT FLIGHT WAS AMAZING. We saw some stunning scenery from the air! Setting up and packing up was just as much fun as the flight, so get involved, you'll like it. So fantastic flight, so many photos, and such a calm landing. The ride was very amazing, we got picked up on time by the driver "Omar", crossed to the west bank & got coffee and biscuit. The flight was safe & we were given the safety instruction before hop into the balloon. We got about 50 Minutes flying over Luxor and it was really perfect, smooth and really charming. we saw temples, fields, Nile river and etc. It was AT THE TOP. Everything from A to Z was well organized! the landing was also very funny. It was just amazing. ! Would recommend the experience to anyone!

It was a very nice ride!! The communication was very good we decided very late to do it and booked last minute, Sheba Tours was perfect they could arrange for us without any problem! The next day morning we got picked up on time, took the boat to west bank then arrived on the ballooning area, The instructor explained to us the safety of the balloon and the other information we needed to know then we all hoped into the basket from there the real adventure started! We saw a lot of historical places from the sky, Pilot Mohammed explained to us each place we flaw above!! The views from the sky are just incredible!! 1000% Recommend. I had an EXCELLENT time. Thanks to the pilot for the safe flight and Sheba Tours for accommodating my booking although it was in a very late time & Big thanks for the wonderful organize!!!!!!!!

The advertisement, itinerary and confirmation email all clearly state that this experience is at 4am and to be in your hotel lobby for pick up 10minutes prior to this. We followed these instructions and at 4.30am no one had arrived. The hotel receptionist kindly contacted the provider for us who said they'd changed the pick up time to 3.20am and we'd missed it. They said they'd called me but I received no missed calls whilst there and if they were struggling to contact me regarding my booking they made no attempt to contact me through the hotel in which they knew I was staying, or through the email address attached to my booking. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip which we'd saved for the last day of our holiday, but instead we were left disappointed. We did receive a full refund and told the provider they must update their page so the information advertised is accurate so other people are not also left disappointed.

The wind made us miss the sunset.. our pilot was very knowledgeable and experienced. The only reason I gave a 4 is because when we landed in a sugar cane field we were attacked by village boys being a group of women it was really scary until the crew and police came to get us out… thank God we were safe and our pilot got us down safely..

What an experience. Our guide pick us from the cruise ship, on time, offered us a tea coffee and cakes. The pilot was nice, explaining us and giving us details. First time after 5 days in Egypt that I see people fight for the tip, and not just requesting it which we much appreciated. Highly recommended

The tour was confirmed via Whatsapp a day before with pick up time. Pickup was originally scheduled at 3:30am. It was postponed to 3:50am but I didn't get the message because it was sent close to midnight. we were first taken to the port for ferry to the west bank and then transferred to the balloon launch site. The balloon trip itself was smooth and enjoyable. It lasted about 40 minutes. Quite happy with the ride. We arrived back at hotel before 7:00am.

The balloon ride itself was a great experience. With a beautiful view and nice crew. However, the organisation was a disaster.
We didn’t know the name of the cruise we were staying at till a couple of days before, so when we noticed the balloon company about the name, it took them ages to answer and wouldn’t let me know the timing they were picking me up till 2h before the flight (2 am).
The day before it was stressing , as it looked as they would have disappeared and wouldn’t give any explanation or proper answer.
If I would know, I’d try another company.

Vendor was not able to accommodate the original 4am time. The vendor indicated that we could do a sunset air balling ride. When I was picked up, my group was scheduled for sailing instead without my consent.

What a beautiful way to see Luxor. Our group enjoyed the entire experience, and our guides were extremely helpful. Although out of all of the tours in Egypt this one felt the least organized. We never received any contact from the tour company before pick-up so we were slightly concerned leading up to our tour date. Everything went off without a hitch and we felt very safe the entire time, this is definitely a must-do during your stay in Luxor. Tips felt pushed a little more forcefully on the tour, but this is common throughout Egypt.

The early wake up was more than worth it! We loved seeing the ancient Egyptian sites from above as well as enjoying the peacefulness of being up in the air in the hot air balloon. Our balloon pilot, Mohammed, was attentive to those that were afraid of heights or being in the ballon and took time gaining altitude to allow them to adjust to the experience. We were up in the air for nearly 50 minutes which was adequate for our first ballooning experience. We knew it would be a larger basket with at least 20 riders. It was a great value for the price. Next time, we may go for a more “personal” experience so as to enjoy the quiet of being in the sky a bit more.

Our pick up from our luxor hotel was about 20min late, when i messaged the company about it, they communicated fast that pick up is running behind coz they waited for other clients in previous hotel. We took a boat ride to the site, while in boat, they gave us coffee/tea and wafer snacks. All the staff were nice & helpful. At the site, there were lots of
Hot air balloons (i guess from different companies also), each hot air balloon has a big basket with 8sections, each section can accomodate 4 people -so total passenger for each hot air balloon was 32 passengers. Lots of staff were on hand at the site to help is get into the basket, & assisted with the balloon take off. Our captain explained to us the landing position then off we went up in the air. Lots of balloon were up in the air together, so it was a great site with the sunrise colors, the balloons & luxor archeological sites down below. We saw the two giant statues of
Memnon, valley of the kings & Hatshepsut temple. The flight was smooth & the landing was surprisingly smooth too. There were lots of staff waiting for us at the landing site too, to help steady the basket we were in & to help us get off. They have a tipping basket which they share to all the crews that helped. They were selling the video link for $10 & USB video for $15. Pretty good deal. All in all, it was a great memorable experience.
