“We Could Steal Time, Just For One Day…”
Our tour guide, Grant Gutteridge, was tremendously knowledgeable about David Bowie, both the artist’s long and storied career, as well as his early years as David Robert Hayward Jones. Along the way, Grant shared anecdotes about several other luminaries of the British rock and roll scene, and their unique relationship to London. Grant is also quite kind. And was very respectful of the residential neighborhoods that we sometimes traveled to while following the Thin White Duke’s footsteps. I learned a lot about my favorite musician, met some lovely people (Bowie fans as a general rule are friendly and accepting folks), and got to see some parts of London that were new to me as a tourist. Our tour primarily focused on the neighborhoods of Brixton and Soho, which are fun places to explore in their own right and even more fun with the added context of learning about Bowie’s history with them. I really enjoyed this tour. If I had more time in the city, I would happily book one of the other ones that Grant offers—such as his Led Zeppelin tour. I honestly can’t recommend this tour enough. It was one of the major highlights of a pretty amazing trip to what is probably my favorite city in the world. Thanks again!

Well-organized excursion into a beautiful area
The South Downs and Seven Sisters area is beautiful. The tour allows one to take in a lot of the beautiful scenes and to do a bit of walking around. Adam was a great guide, and the stops were well-paced. We were never driving in the van for more than 25 minutes at a time. Several great stops packed into a full day.

Marina provided an...
Marina provided an excellent, fun, and informative experience during our tour of Westminster, Parliament Square, the London Tower, and other sites. She answered our many questions and kept the tour enjoyable for the kids, even using a deck of cards to help teach the curious history of royalty. We highly recommend Marina for others who want to learn about British history from a kind, patient, and knowledgeable guide.

Great London Tour!
Mark was great! He certainly has a passion for the history of London. I liked this tour since I got to see all of the main spots of London without needing to use Google Maps. There isn’t really time to take a full lunch, so definitely plan accordingly (I just ate a full breakfast and I was fine until 3pm, when the tour ends). I’d recommend adding the Tower of London addition to your ticket. You’ll be able to make it a full day and see a great piece of history as well!
