this is an absolute must do. My wife and I came here for a honeymoon and couldn’t decide which provider to use for this, and this was so easy and fun. We had an absolute blast. The boat is super easy to drive and the workers are super nice. Just do it. It’s so fun.

We had two separate boat trip bookings with this provider. Our original booking was for 2pm, but we were contacted by the provider and told that one of the boats was having problems and that they could move our trips earlier to 12pm. We explained that we had two separate bookings and that this would be very difficult for us, as our flight was due to land at around 10:30am that morning. We asked if 1pm would be possible instead, and they agreed.
On the day, our flight was delayed and we were also held up at passport control. We contacted the provider to let them know what had happened and explained that we expected to arrive in time, but wanted to give them a heads-up in case we were a few minutes late due to circumstances outside our control.
We received no response.
We arrived at 12:55pm, five minutes before the agreed departure time, and couldn’t see anyone. We phoned the provider to ask where they were, only to be told that both of our boat trips had been cancelled.
They offered to move us to the following morning, but we had a wedding to attend and explained that this wouldn’t work for us. We therefore requested a full refund.
Unfortunately, the response we received was extremely rude. We were repeatedly told that we had cancelled the trips and therefore weren’t entitled to a refund, despite us explaining that we had never cancelled anything. We had simply contacted them in advance to explain that we might potentially be a few minutes late — and in reality, we arrived on time.
After several days of contacting them, we eventually received a refund for one of the bookings. For the second booking, half of our party were able to take the trip the following day, but this was obviously not the experience we had originally booked or planned for.
Overall, this was a very stressful and disappointing experience. The communication was extremely poor, and the attitude of the provider when we tried to resolve the situation was unacceptable.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not recommend this provider!

Ciao, mi dispiace molto leggere questa recensione, soprattutto perché, da quanto ci risulta, ciò che è accaduto è stato il risultato di un evidente misunderstanding.
Ho comunicato con uno dei contatti relativi alle due prenotazioni, spiegando che ci era stato riferito che eravate un unico gruppo e che non sareste riusciti a essere presenti all’orario inizialmente previsto. Per questo motivo, abbiamo cercato di trovare una soluzione alternativa venendovi incontro e modificando l’orario della prenotazione.
Inoltre, per una delle due prenotazioni avete successivamente ricevuto il rimborso, mentre per l’altra vi è stata comunque offerta la possibilità di effettuare l’escursione il giorno successivo.
Ci dispiace sinceramente che l’esperienza non sia stata quella che vi aspettavate, ma riteniamo che la recensione non rappresenti in modo corretto e completo quanto effettivamente accaduto e gli sforzi fatti da parte nostra per trovare una soluzione.
Ci sarebbe piaciuto poter chiarire il malinteso direttamente, invece di arrivare a questa situazione.
We had a great time. We did the 2 hrs trip, which allowed a loop from Laglio almost down to Como and back. Boat was great.
Great communication and punctuality. We were able to easy drive the boat and had great direction from our sweet contact Thomas. It was not clear to me that we were going to be charged for fuel, so something to keep in mind for future bookers. The water was very choppy, and the boat was small and not very fast, so splashing did occur. Overall we had a wonderful time and loved our experience!
This is a very safe and trusted way to enjoy a small boat trip on the lake. The instructions are given by the host right before the drive. The boat is clean and modern. We recommend it!

Wonderful opportunity to experience Lake Como on one’s own. We were met by Andrea who was lovely and explained everything to us. The boat was i. excellent condition and very easy to manage. We arrived a little late because it was hard to find parking and he very graciously extended the trip for us. Definitely worth doing, but if you arrive by car, give yourself extra time to park.
This was by far the favourite thing we did whilst on holiday. To go almost everywhere on the lake, you do need to pick the all day option. The only thing was that we should have had more instructions on how to dock.
Amazing! Heaven on earth! Learned how to drive the boat within minutes and we were off! Would recommend!

Our boat was 35 minutes late. Communication was not great.

Our contact/boat trainer, Ilgard, was great. He was patient and informative and checked on us as we went along
The boat was clean and well maintained
The weather was good and then rain came but it added to the memory of the adventure
Such a fun experience! We were late for our reservation because our ferry was cancelled and they accommodated us anyway. So fun! Boats are easy to drive and lake is beautiful! A must-do!!
Booked a slot for 4PM. Company contacts me and says there’s no availability so we will have to push back until 530PM. 45 minutes before our new time; they cancel. Their boat broke down. The person from the company i was then in contact with was quite rude and laughed when I inquired how long a review would take. Steer clear from the unprofessional company! No clue when i will get a refund as they have zero answers. Their reasoning. “boats break down when you use them”

Hi Kendall, I’m really sorry, but this review could be misleading for other customers. I can understand your frustration about not being able to go on the boat tour, as the boat broke down in the middle of the lake due to an engine issue, and unfortunately I had to cancel the booking. I apologize for the short notice, but you were contacted exactly at the moment I found out the boat was broken. Also, you asked 5 or 6 times when you would receive the refund, and it was kindly explained to you that it would come directly from the platform, not from us. That said, I’m truly sorry you couldn’t go on the boat and especially for this review, which isn’t very helpful to other customers.
Absolutely amazing! So fun to have free rein on the lake. A word of caution, if you are staying anywhere besides Como center or close to Como, (we stayed in Bellagio) it can be difficult getting to and from the pickup spot. Otherwise, 10/10 experience!

We did a 3 hour boat hire from Como and it was the highlight of the trip. So much fun and would highly recommend to everyone going to Como. Ilgar was very friendly and gave us a great little lesson before we were let loose. Would 100% do this again!
Fabulous service from start to finish. Had a slight delay to our start time but it was well communicated and we had our boat for the full 3 hours. Instructions were clear and we were given advice on how to best navigate the lake to visit the villas we wanted to see. 10/10
The boat was lovely, we were given clear instructions before we drove off - we really enjoyed it! Due to the weather, we had to make adjustments to our booking but the team communicated well and were reliable. If you have any questions at all, make sure to always ask. The boat itself was amazing, 10/10 experience - would 100% recommend. The only downfall was the location, not easy to get to the pick up point unless you’re happy with buses and steep walking.
Great experience! It was raining and they allowed us to push off our boat tour until the rain stopped. Very helpful, showed us how to drive the boat and directed us to help park. Great service! We had a lot of fun.
Boat was clean, relatively new and easy to handle. Only has 40hp. The staff was great and location was easy to find.

Driving the boat across Lake Como was one of the highlights of our trip! It was incredibly romantic for my fiancé and I. We arranged a meeting point with Ilgar and had a brief demonstration with him. He was fantastic, very responsive to any questions!

We had a fantastic experience on our 3 hour self-driving tour. The meet-up with Andrea at Como was simple, straightforward, and speedy. We had a 6 people (4 adults, 2 kids aged 6 & 9) and the boat fit us comfortably; the lake is expansive and there was no concern of seasickness. Highly recommend seeing Lago di Como from the water - WOW!
One recommendation: Make sure to communicate clearly the pick-up time well in advance. We had a small mix-up and Andrea was able to accommodate, so thank you!!
