- For safety reasons, due to bad weather or a water level that is too high in the lake, public navigation will be used instead of the exclusive boat
- We are not responsible for valuables left on the bus
- Please note that purchases over € 300 made in Switzerland require a customs stop for VAT refunds. As our tour does not include this stop, we kindly ask you to avoid purchases exceeding this amount during your free time in Lugano. We cannot be held responsible for any customs issues if this rule is not followed.

I’ve visited Lake Como and Bellagio before, but this trip booked through VedItalia was especially enjoyable.
Our tour guide, Eleonora, was fantastic—she explained the itinerary clearly, shared interesting insights about the region, and was always happy to answer questions. I learned so much more about the area this time, which made the experience even more memorable.
A special mention to our bus driver, Tony, who navigated the scenic and narrow roads of the Lake Como region with great skill, allowing us to fully enjoy the breathtaking views.
Kudos to VedItalia for maintaining such high standards. I would happily book with them again—especially with Eleonora as our guide—and highly recommend this tour to others.

It was. Great opportunity to see many beautiful and different places. We had a good amount of free time and Kevin provided quite a bit of information but did not overdo it.

This is good for an overview of 3 amazing spots: Como, Bellagio & Lugano. The day was quite intense & rushed especially because we were caught in a huge traffic jam due to an accident getting to the boat which took at least an hour. Our guide spoke very fast, walked fast, and needed to give his contact info to all passengers since we had free time at all the stops. The private boat ride on Lake Como to Bellagio was fabulous. The bus driver was quite aggressive on the very winding roads through the mountains. I got a headache and was a bit nauseous so I'd recommend anyone who gets roadsick or seasick to take appropriate measures.

This was the best day trip from Milan, and our tour guide, Katia, was one of the reasons why we had so much fun. Katia talked about each of the cities on our way, and gave us tips on where to go. There is limited time at each place, but it’s worth seeing so many things in one day. We had perfect weather for the cruise. Our trip would not have included Switzerland without this tour. This is a must do tour if you are in Milan.

The bus is very comfortable. Katia our guide is very knowledgeable and the good thing is she stays on the schedule. The tour is a long one but we enjoy it. The views are amazingly beautiful. I recommend this one

It would have been nicer if the tour guide provided more commentary during the bus and boat rides. At each stop, we would have appreciated some more tips on where to go and what to do.

Very worthwhile experience and hassle free. We felt like we had enough time in all 3 cute cities to explore and enjoy some coffee and gelato. The boat tour was great and no need to wait in lines with a bunch of tourists, just your own group. Last and not the least, our guide Salvatoré and driver Fabrizio were excellent.

Beautiful trip. Really enjoyed the boat ride and Bellagio. I think we could have stayed a bit longer in Lugano or just skipped it completely. That part was a bit rushed but it was all so lovely to see, even from the bus.

I really had a lot of fun. I was traveling solo but never felt alone. Please ask for Claire Malvoni to be your guide. She is funny and very knowledgeable. Fluent in English and Spanish. It made all the difference having her as our guide!

We had an amazing time despite all of the challenges!! It was too windy to take any of the boats so we couldn’t visit Bellagio. However, thy did replace it with Menaggio which was delightful and we found the splendid Grand Hotel Victoria whom we had lunch at and fell in love with. We can’t wait to return!! Lugano was gorgeous and we loved the cafe scene there. Great chocolate!! Como was nice but we were there early and it was so windy we really couldn’t explore as it would have required winter coats.
The only issue is the tour was overrun with obnoxious American students on their spring break. I was so embarrassed to be an American. These kids were inebriated and drinking from the bottle while touring and publicly urinating on the streets when stopping. Yuck!! The poor tour guide and driver couldn’t keep up. If not for them it would have been 5 star.
They shouldn’t have allowed a large group of 25 students on a tour with other tourists.

Advice - do not forget to take your passport because one of the stops located in Switzerland.

Many things
You changed the departure time from Milan 3 days before the trip to become 7.45 which was too early for me, the problem is I was there 7.35 and it started to move like 8.45 which is more than on hour late and when I complained they simply said that time has changed to be 8.30 !!!
Second thing we failed to ride the boat as they claim due to weather which was for me the most important part in the trip

I’d like to point out that when you mentioned the 8:00 a.m. departure would be too early, we replied that you shouldn’t worry and that the departure time would remain at 8:30 a.m. You may not have seen our confirmation email; please check your spam folder as well. Furthermore, as the Tour Leader clearly explained to you, the cruise line has decided to suspend cruises due to the bad weather conditions and for safety reasons.

I would have loved to have given the tour 5-stars. Unfortunately we were unable to utilize the boat trip, or visit Bellagio as a result, due to the high winds/very choppy water. Whilst I understand such decisions are out of the tour operator’s hands, being stuck on a coach for over 6hrs and not being able to experience two of the main reasons we selected this tour is extremely disappointing. Given we paid over $330AUD for the two of us to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience, I feel the operator could have at least offered a partial refund. Visiting an additional lakeside town and being stuck there for two hours for ‘lunch’ was not something we would have selected had we really been given an option. The he news of no boat cruise & no Bellagio visit was delivered when departing Lake Como and at a point in which no travellers were given a true option being an hour’s drive outside of Milan.
Our tour guide & driver are to be commended for the good job they each did today delivering us safely (and keeping the American frat boy party in check for the rest of the tour group’s comfort).

This was an excellent day. We covered a lot in a day & saw some beautiful things. Our guide was excellent. I would have preferred longer in Lugano & less time in Como. We were driven excellently.

This is a great day trip with a lot of variety of places that we drove to and had the opportunity to walk around in.
I would recommend taking this trip.
What we did not like though, is that this tour as with every other tour that we have ever taken where the tour guide is speaking the same thing to 2 or more groups of different languages, is that as soon as the tour guide has spoken the information in one language, in this case, Spanish, when he started speaking the information to us English people in the group, I could NOT hear what the tour guide was saying because the Spanish people started speaking to each other out loud and we English people could barely hear and missed a lot of the information, unless we were standing right beside the tour guide or sitting next to the tour guide on the bus.
It is much easier for everybody, including the tour guide, of a tour is with one language only, unless as the buyer into this type of tour, doesn't care to hear and learn everything that the knowledgeable tour guide is saying.
For my husband and I though, we were often frustrated by not being able to hear the the tour guide because as soon as he was finished speaking in one language, that group was yaddering on.
The other negative aspect to this tour, is that the instructions of where to meet our tour bus in the morning, was not clear and concise, and we nearly missed getting on our bus because we were looking elsewhere for where we were told to go to catch the tour bus. Viator can surely do a MUCH better job of giving better instructions and directions of where to catch the tour bus in the morning.
Lastly, NOWHERE in the on-line description did it say anything about bringing our Passport to enter Switzerland which is and isn't necessary, but that information SHOULD HAVE been clearly defined in the on-line description.
Viator can and should do better by giving BETTER information on it's on-line sales pitch and in the messaging systems of where to meet and what to bring and what to expect.
We sure did like the boat ride on Lake Como and to go to Bellagio for lunch.

One of the best tours I’ve ever taken. If you want a tour where you get the basic information but still have time to explore on your own, eat where you want in any restaurant and not have the tour guide talking constantly this is the tour for you! We thoroughly enjoyed Alex’s info on the major highlights of Lakes Lagano and Como plus the 1/2 hour or so boat trip seeing the luxury homes. We had a comfortable amount of time to shop and be on our own with instructions to be back at the meeting spots. The only change I would make is to have assigned seats in the bus because people kept switching where they were each time we reboarded and 2 out of 3 times my husband and I had to sit apart.

For those travelling low season with children: Maybe to check in advance where to have lunch - low season some of the places to eat are closed, hence there is a need to queue. Would be an option to plan more time for lunch in this case and to see beforehand about all the options.
