We had a truly wonderful experience on our day trip from Como to St. Moritz, which included a ride on the iconic Bernina Express. From start to finish, the tour was well-organized and seamless. Our driver, Antonio, navigated the narrow mountain roads and sharp turns with remarkable skill, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout.
The day began with a smaller shuttle from Como, which connected us with the larger group that departed from Milan. The transition was smooth and efficient. Riding the Bernina Express through the stunning alpine scenery was an unforgettable highlight — an incredible way to experience the natural beauty of the Alps.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone staying in Como or Milan who wants a taste of the Alps in a single, unforgettable day!

It was a beautiful trip. Be prepared for a long day, but the guide was wonderful and you never had to worry about getting from the bus to St. Moritz to the train and back to the bus again. Very professional and knowledgeable.

The Alps are beautiful, St. Moritz was basically closed except for a few stores. Our tour guide acted like a bully at times, telling us to stop talking or not to sit in a certain spot. He acted like we were children! I’m no child at 68, a lighter mood from him would have made the trip amazing.

Unfortunately, inclement weather (rain and clouds) made it very difficult to see the bigger mountains (why, I'm guessing, most sign up for this excursion.) I understand the tour operator can't control the weather, but everyone should be aware of this before they book.
The bigger disappointed was how the tour company handled the bus transportation. Unprecedented flooding in Lake Como made the travel bus 45 minutes late. It would have been understandable if they notified us via the same text messaging platform they used that morning reminding us to be on time. As a result, we waited in the rain wondering if the trip was cancelled. The van driver that finally picked us up offered no explanation or apology. The delay also shortened our stop in St. Moritz to less than an hour (versus 2.) Again, I realize the travel company can't control the weather, but I feel like things could have been handled better.

The weather was so bad we started to walk to the meeting place in pouring rain and thunder and lightning, the water on the road was over our ankles. We contacted the trip coordinator prior to the departure time that we could not make it. I requested a refund and was denied. I find that a poor customer service response.

This was an excellent train journey on the Bernina Express. However getting from Como to St Moritz & especially back again was a challenging series of coach trips that involved a change & no stops on the return journey (3hrs). The whole day was 13hrs long for essentially a 2 & a half hour beautiful train ride plus lovely mountain views along the way, with an hour to explore St Moritz. However a lot of the journey was in long tunnels too. It's a lovely experience in the mountains and on the train but you do need stamina for the coach journey. Our guide was enthusiastic but with 3 languages to convey by the time he got around to English the area he was describing was often passed or we were back in a long road tunnel.

The tour is along day but worth it. The train journey through the Italian alps is stunning with great scenery. Unfortunately tje day went it was very cloudy with rain but the views and train were still very enjoyable.
Our Italian tour guide...sorry don't know his name....was great. Gave us lots of information and was really funny but didn't waffle or overdo the facts. A little more time in St Moritz would have been nice so you could explore the town a bit more.

The itinerary was a bit misleading. We started in Como, but apparently there was another group that started in Milan. We boarded a bus in Como and then went to another meeting place to meet up on a larger bus with the group from Milan. The stop for coffee was very nice and had good food. We only had about an hour in St. Moritz which was too short. The Bernina train was definitely the highlight of the trip, and we had great weather and beautiful views. Trip back I felt took longer than it should as we again had to meet up with another bus driver to take us back to Como. Most disappointing part of the tour was the tour guide. She had minimal knowledge and pointed out obvious things like 'There is Lake Como' on your right side. While on the train, she sat at one end of the train carriage we were all in and did get up and say a few things, but most of the group could not hear her. She didn't make an effort to move forward in the train and repeat herself for those of us not sitting within a few rows of where she sat.

Trip was worth it. Awesome views. Something you do once. Tour guide was great. Only issue was with pick up. Arranged an alternate pickup location but once I had paid got no responses from tour operator. Completely ignored. Had no idea how to meet up with bus. Luckily sound other bus drivers helped me locate my driver and all was well. Tour guide said they were meant to send me a photo for who to meet but got nothing. Lesson learned get all the details before you pay.

Please forgive me, I believe my tour guide's name was Sergio and he was awesome! Wealth of knowlege and a great story teller. My one recommendation that I didn't know: sit on the right side of the bus ride and the right side of the train. If you sit on the left, you won't get the clear photos of the beauties.

From the Pick up point to the drop off has been a great service.
We met Monica our tour guide and Matteo the driver who’s been nothing but “awesome”.
They make the trip experience one for the books. 10star for them.
Monica gave so much knowledge about the history of the places we pass by . She was so kind and helpful.
Matteo driving skills is amazing . He is expert maneuvering in narrow roads .
Overall we are happy with the trip.
Also I wanna add that Monica and Matteo went above and beyond with our request and made possible.

The train is beautiful and the views are amazing. Everything was timed perfectly and we had 2 hours in St. Moritz and a half hour in Tirano plus a coffee stop. The only negative, which you can’t do anything about, is that it’s a long journey on the bus!

Frigerio Viagg SRL tour operator did not respond any inquiry we submitted the day before. We did not realize the high attitude of this tour might present big risk to my husband’s open heart surgery he had just last year not within their 24 hours free cancellation period. We only learned about this in the evening of the day before the trip thru another tour guide who familiar with this tour.

Thank you for your feedback, however, we would like to clarify a few important points. It is the responsibility of each traveler to assess the suitability of a tour based on their personal health conditions. In your case, your husband's open-heart surgery occurred a year ago, and typically, altitude and physical strain are among the first contraindications discussed by medical professionals. These factors should have been taken into consideration prior to booking.
The reservation was made only two days before the tour, which allowed very limited time for planning or changes. Your inquiries were sent at the very last minute and outside our office hours, including questions about the meeting time and even requests to change the meeting point — something we are not able to accommodate on such short notice.
From our records and the situation described, we believe the issue may simply have been a delay in your arrival at the meeting point, rather than a lack of response or support on our side.
We always strive to provide clear communication and support, but we kindly remind all travelers that timely planning and accurate self-assessment are essential when booking guided experiences.

The bus ride to and from the train was way longer than we anticipated (I didn't see that the actual ride to get to and from would take over 5 hours) and the bus stunk. We were the only Americans on the trip, and we had a very hard time understanding our director. She was great as far as knowledge, but without being able to understand, it was difficult to enjoy. The views from the train were amazing, but we were on there such a short period of time compared to what it took to get there.

I wish I could rate this experience in two different ways. The town of St Moritz and the scenery from the Bernina Express were both wonderful. The mountains were so majestic and the valleys gorgeous!!! However, I can not recommend this tour company. We and 2 other couples were met at the specified location by a non-English speaking bus driver (although the tour expressly says English tour) and it took a lot of translating with our phones and him making phone calls before we figured out we all belonged together. Then after an hour ride with him, we met up with a larger bus (that was pulling out and obviously going to leave our 3 couples) where there was an English speaking guide and many other English speaking tourists. After harsh words yelled between the drivers out the windows of the buses, we followed the larger bus to a gas station where they pulled over and we boarded that bus. It was NOT a good experience! We should have been told the situation by the tour company beforehand

It was a huge long day !! But well worth the trip ! The train ride was magnificent! We had no intention to do this trip but it was raining in Como our main destination so we decided to give this ago . Well worth the effort !! A long bus ride but very comfortable with enough stops for photos before the train ride 🥂. Beware of food prices in St Moritz $$$$

The drive through the mountains and train ride were spectacular, although large portion was covered by clouds and fog. The guide spent most of his time chit-chating with two Italian tourists on the front seat, along with the driver. Basically the 4 of them had a private tour, while the rest of the passengers just happened to be along for the ride. If you can do your own booking on a regional train between Como, Tirano, and St. Moritz you'll save yourself ~100 euro/pp.
