Ninja Training
What a great time I had today, the ninja master took us through what ninja expectations were.
So we dressed up as ninjas learned how to use some of the weapons the ninjas use and their escape tactics. The ninja master and staff were so great it made for a great experience by every one in the class.
Highly recommend this for any one traveling solo and family’s great time will be had by all.
Cheers

Traditional Tea Experience
We went into this tea ceremony experience not really knowing what to expect—and from the moment we stepped inside, we were completely impressed.
Everything about the experience felt authentic, thoughtful, and incredibly well put together. We were dressed in traditional kimonos, which immediately set the tone and made the experience feel immersive. It also created some great photo opportunities, but more importantly, it gave us a deeper appreciation for the cultural significance behind what we were about to experience.
What truly elevated this experience was the guide. The level of knowledge, passion, and clarity in explaining the history and meaning behind the tea ceremony—and even the symbolism in the kimono patterns—was outstanding. It never felt like a lecture; it felt like a story being brought to life.
Watching the tea master prepare the tea was mesmerizing. Every movement was deliberate, precise, and rooted in tradition. It gave us a real sense of how much discipline and respect goes into something that might seem simple.
The highlight was being able to participate ourselves. Learning how to properly prepare a cup of Japanese tea, while also understanding the etiquette and manners that go along with it, made the experience both interactive and meaningful.
By the end, we realized this was far more than just a tea ceremony. It was a deep dive into Japanese culture and one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Kyoto.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto.

Great tour!
We had such a great day. Our tour guide At-Chan was so lovely and made sure we always knew where and when to meet at each site. This tour was such a good way of seeing so many sites in the one day and gave us a real taste of Kyoto. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful day trip from Osaka
Wonderful daytrip from Osaka with a variety of different experiences…from a serene park in Nara to the beautiful shrines and nature of Kyoto. Laura, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about immersing us in some parts of Japanese cultural heritage. Would have liked to spend sone more time at the shrine and less in the park…but strongly recommended!

Great Kyoto Experience
We had a terrific tour with Yoshi exploring many sites in Kyoto. The tour consisted of a combination of trains, buses and walking, visiting various shrines, temples and gardens. Yoshi managed the tour to avoid long lines and crowds even on a busy weekend. A wonderful experience with a friendly and knowledgeable guide!

Such beautiful sites around Kyoto!
Our guide, LJ, was super knowledgeable and engaging in his stories about the places we visited. Of course, his English was excellent. The sites were far apart, so we rode both trains and a bus to travel between them. I was so glad LJ was there to show us how to get around. All three of these places were high on our list of must-sees, so it was awesome to get them all on one tour. It was raining on our morning, so I was glad we had umbrellas.

A rainy deer, matcha and shrines expe
Before going to the park to feed the deer make sure you get tips on how to feed them otherwise you’ll be bumped and chased, some are feisty, although it was raining, the beautiful shrines we visited cannot dampen the experience. Elisa our guide made sure that the trip is wholesome, she gave us the best places to eat and shop. We snagged some Uji matcha and ate matcha delicacies, must try soba matcha lunch. Two thumbs up for Elisa!

We had an amazing one-day...
We had an amazing one-day guided tour in Kyoto with our English-speaking guide, Naru, and it truly became one of the most unforgettable memories of our trip.
Naru was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful throughout the entire day. What really stood out was how he customized the itinerary to fit our needs, especially since we were traveling with a 7-year-old. He made sure the pace was comfortable, kept things engaging, and created a fun and stress-free experience for our whole family.
He was not only professional but also very warm and friendly, making us feel completely at ease. We learned so much about Kyoto while also enjoying every moment.
Highly recommend Naru to anyone looking for a personalized and memorable Kyoto experience!

4 hour Kyoto tour
Incredible experience that was the highlight of our Kyoto trip. Milo was an incredible guide, had such an vast knowledge base about everything from history to current culture to hidden gems for snacks/matcha/coffee. He was very patient given our young kids and we never felt rushed. 11 out of 10 recommend the experience with Milo.

We had the best time with our guide Lee leading our group. He was very knowledgeable, shared full of fun facts and jokes, organized and accommodating. I would recommend taking this tour with him. Loved all the sites included in this tour especially the Nara Deer Park

Highlights of Kyoto
Hama was a very knowledgeable and good tour guide being clear with times and explaining sites we were going to see. The description on Viator is correct. You will see 4 sites. It was busy in April so expect crowds and wait times. Lunch was a Japanese buffet with a wider variety of food to try. It will be a long day with lots of walking but you will see the main highlights.

A great way to see and learn about Kyoto!
This tour was more than we expected in all the right ways. Our guide, Michael, was informative, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. We saw things we didn’t expect and learned a ton of new info about Japanese history and culture. Thanks for a memorable experience! We had a great time!
