Naomi gave us a great...
Naomi gave us a great tour of the Fushimi Inari, taking us in the back way so we got to experience the tori gates and shrines without the crowds. The hike was strenuous, but she was patient with our kids (8, 11, and 13) and built in plenty of breaks for cold drinks, bathrooms, and ice cream. I'm so glad we had this private tour with her- it was totally worth it and turned out to be my husband and my favorite part of our Japan trip. And she recommended an incredible ramen place for lunch after!

The Forest of legends
As someone from a dry land, this experience was magical. To see manmade structures merge into nature’s form without contraction nor without conflict, such things, I thought, could only be imagined, but never built.
The monkey park was great. I had never seen monkeys in the wild before, much less macaques, so the experience was fun. The hike up the mountain was also beautiful.
The guide, a man by the name Dustin, was great. I have many questions and want to learn, and he was able to answer my questions. He was also pleasant to be around and interesting to speak with, which is always welcome.
I highly recommend this tour to those who love nature, hiking, anthropology, and architecture.

10/10 Jasmine was so nice...
10/10 Jasmine was so nice and kind. She not only informed us and educated us in a way that was fun as well as heartfelt. She also make sure to check up on us, that we didn’t get lost, were to hot, etc. She allowed us to ask any questions we had in general be it about the tour or Japan as a whole. Making sure to share with us the rules in certain areas and even taking photos of us and encouraging us to try different things. She ended the tour with dinner recommendations.

Recommend using a guide
We took the option to have an english speaking guide which I think was a great decision. We gained so much more from our guide Jin than we possibly could have on our own. The locations we visited were truly amazing and certainly should not be overlooked
Jin was very knowledgable and gave an interesting insight into the history and background of the sites and other Japanese customs and cultural topics.
If you are able to have Jin as your guide you will be very satisfied .

A wonderful tour near Kyoto
Teri was our guide and did a perfect balance of walking and resting (it was 95 degrees F). She was informative but not boring and took us to beautiful places and let us wander around on our own at our own pace. It was nice to sometimes be with the group and yet have freedom to explore. Overall, we saw many more things than we would’ve by ourselves and got to understand what each site was.

Amazing Tour and Guide!!!!
We had an amazing tour! We learned so much about the Kyoto Imperial Palace and the surrounding area. Miyake shared so many fascinating historical details and made everything engaging and easy to understand. The small group made it feel very personal, and he was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He also gave us fantastic Kyoto recommendations that will make the rest of our trip even better. Thank you so much for everything—we highly recommend booking with him!

Tara was a wonderful...
Tara was a wonderful host, expertly guiding a large group (12 people) through narrow streets. The food stalls, restaurants and other establishments were expertly chosen and showed the real depth and breadth of the famed Kyoto culinary scene.
The company was also great as I had accidentally booked on a wrong date and the accommodated us moving the booking to the next day.

Great tour through Kyoto with Mika
We had a wonderful day traveling through Kyoto with our tour guide Mika.
I gave Mika an idea of where we would like to visit and we were able to check all boxes. Mika was very informative and gave us the history, information, and stories of Kyoto and gave us a better understanding of the Japanese culture. We had a great time and she was very understanding of the pace we wanted to take the tour because of the amount of walking I knew we would be doing on a hot and humid summer day. We had a great tour and Mika individualized our experience perfectly.

Great walk through Gion
Our guide Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable, answering everyone’s questions—which ranged from animals we saw to societal things like politics and educational structure…😳😀. The walk covered great parts of town and only had 9 people, so it was small enough not to get lost.

1-day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima: Rainy but still fun
Our tour guide, Takeshi, is very friendly and knowledgeable. He is very passionate about showing Hiroshima to visitors. Our train was delayed for 30 minutes due to bad weather. He stayed with us and made sure we got on the train safely. We really appreciated his kindness.

5 highlights of Kyoto and Much MORE!
This was an OUTSTANDING tour for Kyoto especially if you have only a few days. We were able to see SO much in just one day including rice fields. Biking thru streams and the Emperi gardens. Peter was a fantastic guide and we learned so much about the Shinto and Zen shrines. It was such privilege to speak to an American who has living in Japan for over 20 years! We LOVED every miniute!

Wonderful experience
The samurai experience in Kyoto was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the world of samurai culture. Dressing up in traditional attire was a fun start, and we felt like true warriors as we learned sword moves and practiced techniques with expert guidance. The highlight was definitely the dance with katanas—both exhilarating and mesmerizing!
We also enjoyed a live performance that brought the samurai tradition to life in a way we hadn’t expected. To top it all off, we had a photoshoot at the end, capturing memories of our time as samurai. This experience was both fun and educational, and we left feeling like we had truly stepped into history. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exciting, hands-on cultural experience in Kyoto!
