What are people saying about Istanbul

Wonderful guide!
This tour was amazing! Mustafa met us at the port and shared so much history with us. He tailored the tour to our wants and made it a special day! We would not have known what to do in this extremely large city! He knew the routes and sites and his suggestions were perfect! I highly recommend this tour. Using the local transportation and walking was the way to go to see everything we wanted to see. Or stop at a rooftop restaurant was a highlight.

Şule is everything you...
Şule is everything you could ever want in a local guide. If you show up solo, just know you’re leaving with at least one new friend from Istanbul. The tour gives you a look at some authentic and local stops I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. I had such a lovely time and ate some really great food. I feel like I blinked and the tour was over! Thank you Şule for showing how special and magical Istanbul can be!

Well organised with excellent, informative guide.
This one full day trip to the Gallipoli peninsula is very comfortable and we were back in Istanbul by 9:30. Mercedes Sprinter 15 seater vans were very comfortable The lunch was basic and tasty. The organisation and coordination of the various trips by CrowdedHouseTours was brilliant. The guide was very good and knew his stuff.

Istanbul Adventures with Ezgi
We had a great time with Ezgi in Istanbul! Her knowledge about the history and architecture of the various places we visited was impressive and made the excursion all the more enjoyable. She was able to steer us away from some of the more obvious tourist traps and used her experience and connections with some of the local vendors to get us into places faster and easier. She was even willing to indulge us by waiting in a lengthy (but fast moving) line to see the Blue Mosque.
I’ll never forget her quick thinking when we started getting hounded by all the rug merchants in the Grand Bazaar. I had just purchased a rug from a trusted vendor outside the market and the bag they gave me made it obvious to all the other vendors at the Bazaar that I had just bought one. They were eager to help me buy more when Ezgi had the brilliant idea to put the bag inside another one to disguise it.
She also made an excellent suggestion for lunch at Rumeli Kebab & Steak House. Not only was the food delicious but the waitstaff were funny and engaging. Highly recommended Ezgi for your future Istanbul tours and Rumeli for the food and atmosphere.

Extremely knowledgeable guide
The half day tour was just enough for us. Baris our guide was extremely knowledgeable the tour did run over time and sadly we had to leave due to other commitments. There was great communication beforehand about the extra costs and dress code for ladies at the mosque and meeting place.

Excellent!
Cappadocia all inclusive tour with Barkish was absolutely excellent. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating historical details and insights that really brought the underground city to life. His explanations were clear, engaging, and tailored to our interests, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Barkish was also very attentive and thoughtful, always making sure everyone in the group was comfortable and able to keep up. He answered every question with patience and enthusiasm, and his passion for the history and culture of Cappadocia truly stood out.
Exploring the underground city can be overwhelming, but with Barkish as our guide, it felt organized, safe, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cappadocia—it was one of the highlights of our trip!”

Great private tour
This was a great tour, perfect for our one day in Istanbul. Our guide Didem was so nice and professional. She was extremely knowledgeable about the sites, and kept us moving at a pace that allowed us just the right amount of time in each location. It was definitely worthwhile being met at our hotel in our first day in Istanbul, and having a private guide made it so much easier to navigate the attractions and stay in communication. We would definitely have booked the second day option if we had more time.

An Outstanding Guided Tour
My guide, Muzaffer, was incredibly resourceful and kind. He made me feel genuinely welcome in Turkey and led a wonderful tour, sharing thoughtful historical insights about each place we visited. Throughout the day, he was flexible, patient, and very attentive to ensuring a great experience. Among all my days in Istanbul, the day I spent touring with him was the one I enjoyed the most. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and warm guide. 😊

A delightful informative experience!
Ali was an AMAZING guide. We never felt rushed and he tailored the tour based on what we were most interested in. He is a wealth of information and a joy to be around. We learned so much about the country of Turkey in general, in addition to the sites we visited. I highly recommend him and this tour.

Best way to see the old city
Kenan was a fantastic guide, and we packed in a ton of siteseeing in a 10-hour day! He was knowledgeable about the city’s history, and we saw the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sofia, the spice market, and more. We also had a wonderful lunch at a rooftop cafe. We highly recommend this tour, and please ask for Kenan. (Be aware that we walked about 15,000 steps, so might be too much for some.)

A Fabulous Tour of Fener, Balat and other Areas off the beaten Track
This was a fabulous tour of some of the less-travelled areas of Istanbul (Fener and Balat) as well as the spice market and portions of the Grand Bazaar. We were the only people on the tour so our guide, Mohammed was able to make a few modifications to accommodate my wife who uses a car. He was very knowledgeable about the history of this area of the city, the peoples who once lived there and the architecture. The tour also included the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the spice market and areas around the Grand Bazaar. I would highly recommend this tour
