We enjoyed getting to know other people over great food. The whirling Dervish was a bonus attraction. Zaynap, our guide, had great energy and insight into the culture and food.

As a solo traveler, really enjoyed having a night of delicious food and drinks with a wonderful group of people and Zeynep as our guide! She was so knowledgeable, energetic, and fun! This my first food tour and it was a-maze-ing! Especially because of Zeynep who was a perfect host. Very attentive, informative, friendly.
She made us feel like being on a tour with a friend ... Thx for introducing us to çiğ köfte. I would have never discover that on my own, honestly. I loved the surprise gift at the end. Will use it at home for shopping for sure. 😇

If I could recommend anything to do in Istanbul, it’d be this. We met our tour guide Zeynip and she made this the best foodie experience ever. We started by eating local famous Istanbul food, trying Turkish delights(and educated on the difference between bad and good).
We then had a lovely scenic view with some Turkish coffee(and some helpful tips on Turkish Coffee - don’t finish it) and got some amazing photos. Everyone in our group was really friendly, we had some brilliant cultural exchange over coffee, and then went to the main restaurant. They cater for plenty of options(for example I’m vegetarian) and wow! The history, knowledge and genuine interest from Zeynip of the food was honestly amazing to listen to. She knows a lot about the history of Istanbul. I’ll leave the local delicacies you get at the restaurant a surprise, but trust me, it’s definitely a foodies dream.
I was nervous spending £50 at first but honestly, with the tour guide, the food and the amazing cultural exchange they could be charging a lot more for it. This is definitely worth it thanks to our lovely group and tour guide Zeynip. She really went out of the way to make it a great experience and the tour would not be the same without her. So thanks everyone from our group for making this the best food tour we’ve been on.

After a long flight this experience was just enough to get us started! Our tour guide Zeynep was friendly, warm and made us feel welcomed. The rooftop experience was truly an experience. I highly recommend it. The tour itself was perfect for us, it gave us a glimpse of what was to come.

Even though the weather was a bit cold, this tour completely made up for it. It was the perfect blend of rich history, local culture, and truly outstanding food.
Let me start with the food — it was absolutely on point. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and exactly what you would hope for from an authentic night out in a Turkish town.
From the appetizers to the pre-courses and main dishes, each bite felt intentional and delicious. The flavors were balanced, generous, and memorable — not small tastings, but a real culinary experience. Dining in a historic restaurant built in 1892 made it even more special, and the staff was warm and welcoming throughout.
Our guide, Sule, was charming, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. She shared fascinating historical insights with such a calm and inviting demeanor.
This isn’t just a food tour — it’s a cultural journey. We visited aqueducts, ancient ruins, and strolled through beautiful streets, learning along the way.
Despite the chilly weather, the experience only got better with each stop.
Highly recommend — you’ll leave completely satisfied and deeply appreciative of Turkey’s history and cuisine.

The food was excellent!! This is the tour to take if you want an authentic Turkish dining experience. Our guide, Sule even gave us a list of recommended dining places in Istanbul so it is definitely worthwhile to take this tour at the beginning of your stay in the city.

LOVED THIS!!!! I am a solo female traveler from the US and this tour could not have been more amazing. ZEY was the most knowledgeable, fun, warm and intentional guide I have ever enjoyed.

We had Zey as our guide and she was probably the best part of this whole experience! She was so warm and fun, and very knowledgable about the city. It was a great experience with great food - we especially liked the dinner. The only minor ding I would give this experience is that the ambiance at the dinner restaurant is not the best, but overall would recommend!

Sule was our guide and she was terrific, always smiling, super kind and full of information. She lead us from delicious Turkish delights to wonderful tea chai and Turkish coffee to a beautiful rooftop view of the entire city . Then We went to an amazing dinner. She was very kind and taught us wonderful stories about the city as we made it from one location to another. She was Absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious. I had the best time.

this was such a fun trip! We enjoyed such wonderful food and nightlife, starting off with a vegan meatball that was super tasty and some Turkish delight. The rooftop was also stunning, though a bit cold. Make sure to take a jacket and scarf! The highlight for me was the restaurant at the end. We all shared the food, but there was so much that nobody felt like they didn't have enough. We had to encourage one another to finish the food! Yum!!!

We went to several different places to try authentic Turkish food. Bilal was our guide and he provided insight into the history and culinary customs of the food. A driver took us from different places which was great because my feet were tired from walking during the day. As a female solo traveler, I recommend! I never felt unsafe and the night was comfortable.
