What are people saying about Istanbul

Great way to experience Istanbul on a long layover
My family (kids, parents, and grandparents) loved our food tour with Zeynep on our long layover in Istanbul. It was the perfect way to get a lot of Turkish food culture from a fun local in a short amount of time. On top of all that, Zeynep was incredibly helpful in communicating with our driver as we had a somewhat complicated luggage/hotel situation at the end of the tour and we don't speak Turkish. Definitely a highlight of our short stay in town.

An authentic experience
Sule was a great guide. She shared a lot of interesting info with us and the restaurant we went to for dinner was amazing. She had pre ordered a delicious selection of dishes for us to try. I wish we had a little more time to read all of the information in the lobby of the Dervish performance but everything else was great.

We have the privilege to...
We have the privilege to have Ziena as a tour guide, she is a very talented, knowledgeable and experienced young lady, she went out of her to explain every aspect of the tour. The tour was great, but the tour guide made one of the best tours we had ever have. We strongly recommend the tour and the great guide.

A delightful informative experience!
Ali was an AMAZING guide. We never felt rushed and he tailored the tour based on what we were most interested in. He is a wealth of information and a joy to be around. We learned so much about the country of Turkey in general, in addition to the sites we visited. I highly recommend him and this tour.

Excellent tour. Knowledgeable guide. Fun group
Hussain was absolutely outstanding. I learned so many fascinating and unexpected pearls about Galata from him—things I would never have picked up on my own. His storytelling ability is exceptional; he doesn’t just share facts, he truly connects the dots, weaving geography, history, and lived context into a narrative that stays with you long after the tour ends.
He clearly has deep knowledge of the area and is a true history geek in the best possible way. What made the experience even more special was how he took us into hidden corners of Istiklal Street that I would never have discovered on my own. The thoughtfully timed break at a charming local tea spot was a lovely touch and added to the authenticity of the experience.
The tour ended at the magnificent Galata Tower, which felt like the perfect crescendo to a beautifully curated journey. My previous guide experience in the area was honestly not great, and Hussain filled in so many gaps—transforming my understanding of the place entirely.
Great going, Hussain. I wish you all the very best. I truly loved your recommendations and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who values depth, storytelling, and genuine insight over a scripted walk-through.

Had an amazing time on...
Had an amazing time on this bar crawl! The atmosphere was fun and energetic. The hosts were friendly, organized, and made sure everyone felt included, which made it easy to meet new people. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the nightlife and have a memorable night out in Istanbul!

One of the best guides we have experienced.
Wonderful experience. Very knowledgeable guide, both of the history, end of great places to visit besides the most well-known. Very accommodating. We had an excellent and enjoyable time and greatly enjoyed thousands of years of history! Very recommended guide.

More Than a Tour, A Truly Personal Experience
This tour ended up being just me, and it turned into one of the most meaningful experiences of my trip. Lale was absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, warm, and incredibly attentive.
Beyond the historical and cultural depth she brought to Istanbul’s landmarks, she was immensely helpful as a solo traveler. She generously shared practical tips on language, customs, transportation, and what and where to eat, all in a way that felt thoughtful and personal rather than scripted.
The pacing was relaxed, the conversation engaging, and the experience felt more like being shown the city by a trusted local friend than taking a formal tour. I truly appreciated her care and insight and look forward to staying in touch with her.
I couldn’t recommend this tour, and Lale, more highly.

Had such a lovely day...
Had such a lovely day exploring Sultanahmet’s iconic landmarks with Mrs Renan. She shared so much history and insight at every stop, and even suggested great places to visit—especially fun spots for a teen. Grateful for the wonderful tour!
Ps: It’s a walking tour, so be prepared to wear comfortable shoes as there will be lots of walking.

A brilliant guide!
The guide was superb. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient and kind. My friend was not very mobile (or interested!) and only came to keep me company. The guide was very understanding about this and went out of his way to help. He took us where we wanted to go, and not to anywhere I did not want to go to. He really was brilliant and I was very pleased.
In terms of the booking there were 2 issues. This trip was more than twice the price of another (equally good) in Turkey, which covered more car milage.
I took Turkish lire thinking that as I was in Turkey, it would be courteous to use lire. As I am English I use pounds, not euros or dollars. However, you need EUROS!

A great experience. Highly recommend.
The shuttle picked us up right on time. The vehicle was very clean. The leg room isn't the best so if you have long legs I would suggest taking the aisle seat to stretch out. The front seat was also available for someone to sit in. They drive very fast with the speed limit in some sections 130km but I'm sure they were going faster.
The morning rest stop was ok with the toilets clean. The rest stop on the way home wasn't the best. We were given 20 minutes so not enough time to order in the restaurant at the petrol station so most people just bought a bag of chips. As we arrived back in Istanbul at 9.30pm after a very long day this would be our dinner. The included lunch when you arrive was ok.
The actual tour of Gallipoli was amazing. To get an understanding of the terrain and the challenging conditions that the soldiers fought in was staggering. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to provide information from all perspectives. He also helped one tour member find the particular grave of a soldier ao they could lay a poppy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, its truly worth it.

A Fabulous Tour of Fener, Balat and other Areas off the beaten Track
This was a fabulous tour of some of the less-travelled areas of Istanbul (Fener and Balat) as well as the spice market and portions of the Grand Bazaar. We were the only people on the tour so our guide, Mohammed was able to make a few modifications to accommodate my wife who uses a car. He was very knowledgeable about the history of this area of the city, the peoples who once lived there and the architecture. The tour also included the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the spice market and areas around the Grand Bazaar. I would highly recommend this tour
