It a must do tour. A very moving and interesting day and giving plenty of reason to reflect on the events that occurred.

Great day tour from Istanbul. Our Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The vehicle was very clean and driver was very good.

We did a day trip from Istanbul to Galipolli and return. It is a very long day but a truely amazing experience. While everyone knows the background and story about the campaign to see the actual location and topography first hand really shows the amazing spirit and tenacity of the ANZAC’s and all other Nations soldiers during the battle. A bucket list must for all Australians. Our guide Sherraia and driver were excellent. Their passion and enthusiasm completed the experience.

Communications were excellent from start to finish, guide was friendly and informative and driver great, especially as he had such a long day in extreme heat. The drive out was amazing as you really saw more of Turkey than just the big, sprawling city of Istanbul. The landscape certainly changed and our guide was informative about the people, the land and sone history for context as we moved through the beautiful countryside.
The Gallipoli portion of our trip was great, our guide, Mustie, was great, loads of information and really helped set the scene for events that unfolded during WW1 and the loss of so many lives on both sides of the invasion.
One thing WE as a group felt didn’t need to be included, and WE didn’t add value to the trip, was the 2 hour detour via ferry across the river to see the Trojan horse and to have lunch. It was a rush! Lunch was a rush and there was nothing really to see as the horse was from a movie set. We had already suggested before we set off we thought maybe it wasn’t necessary but we were convinced by our guide it would be disappointing if we didn’t and the best place for lunch was there also.
After we got back to our ship we chatted to other passengers who’d been there and they had been taken to a museum which would have added so much more value to the experience. They were also taken to see the grave of Simpson and his donkey, said they had a lovely lunch in the small town of Eceabat. Eceabat is where the reenactment scenes from the war were, which was excellent! This gave you an incredible picture of how close the combatants were to each other and the brutality of the war effort.
The trip was supposed to be 8 till 8 but traffic coming back into Istanbul was horrendous! Could be Saturday night thing as there were so many people out enjoying themselves in parks etc. traffic we know can’t be controlled by the tour operator but if we’d have known we may have bought dinner for the ride back.
All in all a good day, but we would suggest, if you are taking this tour, not to be convinced to take the ferry ride across the river and back as it added nothing at all to the trip, and your time could be better spent at the museum we didn’t get to see, or one of the other cemeteries our other friends visited.

Dear Jen,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We're truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the journey through the Turkish countryside, and that both our guide and driver made your experience memorable—especially under the challenging summer conditions.
We appreciate your kind words about Mustie and the Gallipoli portion of the tour. It's wonderful to know that his storytelling helped bring the history and emotion of the site to life.
Regarding the visit to Canakkale and the Trojan Horse stop, we sincerely apologize that this part of the itinerary did not meet your expectations. The information about visiting Canakkale city center and taking the ferry crossing was shared and agreed upon beforehand, and we moved forward based on that understanding. That said, we truly wish you had expressed your preference to explore alternative options in advance—since this was a private tour, we would have gladly customized the route to better suit your expectations.
While many of our fellow travelers have enjoyed this extension in the past, we take your comments very seriously. Based on feedback like yours, we have now decided to remove this detour from the itinerary going forward and instead focus on enriching the experience with more meaningful visits, such as local museums and cemeteries that provide deeper insight into the region’s history.
As for the return to Istanbul, we understand how frustrating traffic delays can be. While such congestion is not something we encounter regularly, we agree that a heads-up or alternative planning could have made the journey back more comfortable, and we’ll keep this in mind for future tours.
Thank you once again for your thoughtful review. Your insights help us grow and ensure we continue offering tours that reflect the depth and respect these historic sites deserve.
Warm regards,

I don’t know where to start, our guide was a man called Mustafa Dogan. There were 6 of us on the tour and we had the most AMAZING day - very long day!
The mini bus and driver… absolutely fabulous. Very comfortable for such a long day, wifi on board the bus, unlimited chilled water, very courteous driver, USB’s for charging and more importantly fabulous AIR CONDITIONER… because it was extremely hot.
The guide and tour - no words can describe how fantastic it was. Mustafa went absolutely over and beyond for us. Perfect English as he has spent a lot of his live in Australia and now lives in Turkey.
He gave us more than the itinerary.. took us on a ferry across the Dardanelles, took us to eat traditional food - ordering everything they had for us and super cheap.
Went to everywhere on the itinerary and it was amazing!
We could not recommend highly enough! We will never ever forget the experience - or Mustafa and his knowledge! Thank you thank you thank you

Long day and difficult for the guide to keep engaging us but worth doing.
Once in a lifetime experience that all Australians should try and do.
