What are people saying about Hiroshima

Great tour!
We had an incredible tour with Hika today! He is in very good athletic shape and it made it so we could walk a lot to see many things! Hika shared the experiences of his family members on the day of the bombing and the outlasting effect on their lives. He was happy to answer any questions and gave us great recommendations for other things to do and see and eat in the city.

Nori was a great guide....
Nori was a great guide. He was easy to communicate with and took all our requests into account when making the schedule. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We learned so much from the Hiroshima museum and wish we could’ve spent a bit more time in it. The Itsukushima shrine at Miyajima did not have water due to low tide so the gate did not actually appear to be “floating”, but we still got some good pictures.

Wonderful Miyajima!
Kaori has been a wonderful guide. Reaching out the day before the tour to help with travel arrangements. We had a great time visiting Miyajima during high tide, really a floating Torii gate and shrine. Thereafter, we walked through the beautiful park to travel bij ropeway to the observatory deck. A great way to see the bay of Hiroshima! Definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour with our guide Rino
Amazing experience with our tour guide Rino. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about the city she lives in. This is a great blend of somber history with the Hiroshima peace Museum and beauty of Miyajima island. The lunch was great and the drinks were even better. Rino handled all the logistics with the bus coach and ferry ride flawlessly. My family and I really enjoyed our experience and would recommend this tour to anyone who visits Hiroshima.

Amazing Hiroshima walking tour 2026
Amazing experience, would highly recommend. Very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to tailor the tour to our needs. Introduced us to traditional cuisine for lunch which was amazing and thoroughly enjoyable. Wouldn’t have found the restaurant without Aki and and experience our daughter will treasure. After the tour she was willing to bring us to some shops based on what we liked and hailed a taxi for us when we were departing. All in all would highly recommend and so thankful to Also for her time and bringing us around some of the historical sites as well as teaching us how to make origami crane birds.

Wonderful tour and tour guide!
Wonderful experience! Our guide, Hiroshi was so knowledgeable and kind. He told us about Hiroshima and Miyajima history that we wouldn’t have found out otherwise. He taught us how to enter the shrines respectfully and how to pray. We also got to meet his lovely sister and hear about his family and his own personal history in Hiroshima. Such a lovely experience. I would recommend a tour with Hiroshi to anyone.

Did the Cycle Hiroshima...
Did the Cycle Hiroshima bike tour and it was a highlight of my time in Japan. Our guide James was an absolute stud of knowledge, and our group soaked it up like sponges. If you like bike tours, look no further. This is the one to book.
Easy to recommend. Thanks for a great morning.

Great tour with e-bikes
We did a cycling tour in Hiroshima with Sokoiko, guided by Shin, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We were quite limited on time as we were heading on to Miyajima afterwards, but the electric bikes and Shin’s excellent local knowledge meant we were able to make the absolute most of the time we had.
The pace was relaxed and enjoyable, and Shin gave us a great insight into Hiroshima’s history and modern-day culture in a way that felt personal and engaging rather than rushed or scripted. The e-bikes made getting around effortless, even in the heat, and allowed us to cover much more than we could have on foot.
A really enjoyable experience and a fantastic way to see Hiroshima efficiently if you’re short on time. Highly recommended.

Local cuisine and guide made for a unique experience!
This was truly a food and drinking tour focusing on local spots and local cuisine. Yoko was a wonderful guide and has lived in the area most of her life. She joyfully shared some personal stories and by the end we felt like we had known her a long time. This was special. We got to a Saki tasting at the end too!

Enjoyable Experience
It's a fairly straightforward experience: you're shown how to notch and fire an arrow using a traditional Japanese bow and then have the opportunity to shoot arrows at a target in a friendly mini-competition. I enjoyed dressing up in the traditional garb and would have loved to spent the entire day just doing that. The instructor primarily communicated through a translation app and demonstrated the proper technique. I strongly recommend this experience if you've never done this before and curious about it.

A customizable tour that was great for 2 older couples seeing the sights.
We are 2 couples in our 70's. We don't walk fast, we don't hear well, we are not adept at figuring out the buses in a strange town in a foreign language. So - a professional guide is a great help. Added to that is that we get to meet a local person and hear more about the area than we ever would traveling on our own. And the price, compared to a big HAL bus tour, is quite competitive.
We went to the garden - which was beautiful - and Kazuko explained the history and significance of the layout (like climbing Mt. Fuji and the survivor tree) - things I might never have known if I were on my own reading the signs. She then walked us to a bus stop with an incomprehensible to me schedule sign, and told us our bus would be there in 10 minutes, and it was.
We went to the Atomic Bomb Dome memorial and she walked us around there. She found a great place for the old folks (us) to rest and get some ice cream. She then led us through the museum, having prepped us about 3 special exhibits she highlighted. The museum had a bigger crush of people than we are used to, it was worse than visiting the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. Kazuko guided us through the crush and showed us some key exhibits, and got us out of there in one piece. She was great.
She got us into a cab headed back to the correct dock for our ship. It made for a perfect day for us.
I'm sure younger folks could cover more ground. The tour can be customized to fit the fitness and ambition level of the group you are with.

It was a nice experience...
It was a nice experience with an opportunity to wear kimono and learn Japanese calligraphy. My friend (American) and I (Japanese) really enjoyed it. It was a perfect activity to spend time while waiting for the change in high and low tides at the Itsukushima Shrine.
