Wonderful Hiroshima

A great intro to the Peace Museum and the surrounding area. Saki was a terrific guide. We had a traditional lunch at the end on top of the tower overlooking the city. A perfect day! Just a note….our taxi took us to the wrong meet up point but the tour communicated with us and we were able to catch them at the museum. Really appreciated that they didn’t give up on us!

Our guide was amazing. She took the time to explain her history and the history of Hiroshima which was really important to us to hear from an American perspective. The tour itself has a good deal of walking so wear appropriate shoes. She took us to all of the sites that were impacted and the museum. I would highly recommend that tour to really understand what happened on this fateful day in 1945 and its impact on Japan

A wonderful tour

What a wonderful tour! Hiro shared so much information about the history of the area, the effects of the bombing, and how it affected generations that followed. Her passion to ensure that by educating others, another atomic bomb never is used, was evident. Our delicious lunch of the signature Hiroshima Okonomyoki eaten at the tower overlooking the Peaceful Memorial area was lovely. Highly recommend this tour!
