Great experience learning the technique and history of the Japanese Archery. Staff were welcoming and the location was great near the Hiroshima castle. Highly recommend to do this tour if your in Hiroshima

Had a great time, my daughter and i participated in the japanese archery. The host were very nice and friendly, we dressed i. Traditional japanese outfits, so cool.

It's a fairly straightforward experience: you're shown how to notch and fire an arrow using a traditional Japanese bow and then have the opportunity to shoot arrows at a target in a friendly mini-competition. I enjoyed dressing up in the traditional garb and would have loved to spent the entire day just doing that. The instructor primarily communicated through a translation app and demonstrated the proper technique. I strongly recommend this experience if you've never done this before and curious about it.

This was really fun, well worth it. Very cool that it's located on the Hiroshima castle grounds. They teach you how to do it and then do fun games.

I really enjoyed the archery experience. They teach you the proper form, walk you through some practice shots where they continue to correct your form and then you have a friendly competition with the other people at the experience for the last about 10 minutes.

We had an amazing time learning traditional Japanese archery! The instructors were very helpful and extremely clear. We were able to do a few practice shots and then did four sets of 8 arrows each. The hour was a perfect amount of time as the arms were getting tired by the end. Such a fun activity that we would highly recommend.

It's a little daunting at first and the teacher is very firm about proper form, but it's great fun.
Once you have the bow in your hand the order to follow becomes a lot clearer and the fun begins.
I had a great time and loved it once I got the hang of it!

I had a great time learning about and practicing Japanese Archery. It was important to follow the rules and this resulted in hitting the target on quite a few occasions. Would be a great hour spent solo or with family.

Such a fantastic experience! The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, which made the learning curve feel easy and enjoyable. Wearing the outfit was so much fun, and we got to shoot plenty of arrows. I’d highly recommend this to anyone curious about trying a new style of archery!

This was a fantastic experience. Learned the steps of shooting a bow and arrow the Samurai way. It was a humbling and interesting experience. I would sign up to do this again!

An hour long experience for four people with two guides . Introduces us to archery. Meeting point instructions could be clearer. Parking nearby is a bit of a nightmare. Give yourselves enough time.

We loved the experience but we could not appreciate the host not speaking English and being very stressed on us touching any of the equipment which is authentic and expensive. Having been with the kids we had to control every their move rather than just enjoying it together. Host had no education skills neither patience. cool though to have a costume.

We absolutely loved our experience with the Japanese Archery team! My husband didn’t want to follow proper form, but we both eventually learned proper form! It was a fun, authentic experience while in Hiroshima and would recommend to our friends. frim but fair competition!! If you get all 8 (we didn’t) you get a special spot on the wall!

This was a very fun activity to do together. We learned the proper way to shoot a Japanese bow and then had practice rounds before our several round competition. The Girls team won... yay!! The arrows curved when you shot, so it was an interesting experience.

"This was AMAZING!," said our 14 year old son. We did this experience as a family and everyone loved it. Wear the uniforms! Why wouldn't you?! Even though we don't speak Japanese and the staff in the archery centre didn't speak much English, they used a tablet to translate verbal instructions and the whole process was seamless and very effective. We were taught some of the history of Japanese archery in addition to the correct process for deploying the arrows, which was surprisingly complex. It was a really fun challenge. Who knew that if you aim to the left you might get the arrow to go straight. The experience lasted about 1 hour, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
