What are people saying about Hawaii

Guide was communicative and informative
First I got a text letting me know they were running about 10 minutes late which I really appreciated. That didn’t put us behind on anything. Bring a clear bag for items you bring and may purchase and wear comfortable shoes especially if you are doing the all day tour. It says a time slot per tour and me and my husband are pretty quick and like to move fast but it did indeed take the whole day. Our tour guide was very informative about the city and couture. Our guide also stopped so we could get the infamous Leonard’s Malasadas.

MAR172026 - Less We Forget.
The experience of going to Pearl Harbor and taking the time to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice on December 7, 1941 plus visiting the museums, submarine, walking the grounds and reading what is there, is worth the day. Our Tour Guide Mr. Clyde William was very knowledgeable and conducted an excellent tour. The tour of Honolulu was also an eye opener and we throughly enjoyed this 1 in a lifetime experience.

Story Teller from Chief Rob!
We loved the Island History. The whole tour was the best. I can’t believe that Chief Rob kept us engaged and listening to the Island Legends and history the whole time. My husband and I come to the Islands at least every year since we’ve been married for 35 years and we do the Circle Island Tour whenever we are here for a week. This was one of the best tours we have been on because of the authenticity, honesty, humble and real fun stories and even jokes and laughter. Chief Rob knows the Island inside and out, edge to edge. He gave us a deeper appreciation of the Islanders, true Hawaiians and he also educated us how to love each other with the Aloha Spirit (my husband and I immediately practiced putting our foreheads together and breathing and sharing our spirit with each other) Today my husband picked up some plastic that he found on the ground, and I am more cautious not to let any of our items become garbage left on the ground (I already do that, but I better aware of taking care of the Island) We will also enjoy the food recommendations today for sure. Lastly the Island roads that took us around the island were a bit difficult to navigate however with Chief Rob at the helm we knew we were taken cared of. About 10 years ago I went on a snorkeling tour and our tour guide did not mention anything about murky water possibly being not good to swim in, so there were a group of us who opted to go snorkeling. Shortly after we came home, just a week later, ai developed an ear infection in both ears. It was because of the bacteria in the water. I just want to say, Chief Rob, went above and beyond and was honest and I love that about the Tour yesterday. He mentioned that the waters would be a little muddy because of the high winds and the forecast of high surf advisory. We even saw that the water was murky and he still asked if there would be anyone interested in either snorkeling or just swimming. While no one on our bus chose to snorkel because of the obvious conditions of murky brown waters, again I just want to point out that Chief Rob had our best interest at heart and truly took care of all of us! I am sad that he will be retiring soon. I hope that the people he trains who work for Rainbow Island Tour have the same Spirit, Mission, and Passion and Love of the Islands and the people, as Chief Rob! Aloha and Mahalo Chief Rob! Amazing Experience
Riley was an excellent guide. She was conscientious and adjusted our tour to my wife’s walking limitations due to arthritis. She was very knowledgeable and thorough with the information she shared about the events leading up to World War II and the significant details for the historic monuments we were going to see. We saw the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific first, visiting these national cemetery’s always makes me thankful that my Great Uncles who served made it back home, although they did carry emotional scars that troubled them throughout their lives. Visiting the Arizona was a very moving experience, thinking about the men who died there and the families that lost them made me both sorrowful and proud of the sacrifices that the American people made so that we are able to live the way we do today. I served in the Army National Guard, but never did anything close to what was asked of these men. The Battleship Missouri was an amazing piece of history. Walking the deck and standing on the same boards that were stood upon to end WWII was an honor. The tour through the crew quarters, dining facilities, and recreation areas, including a snack shop and library, of the ship amazed me. The commitment made to use precious space on a ship to have areas that brought a little bit of normality to the servicemen’s lives was unexpected. I have worked in food manufacturing for over 40 years and the equipment used in the kitchen areas would not look out of place in a modern processing facility. Obviously the guns, size and military might of the ship are awe inspiring. Sixteen inch guns that can fire a more than 2000lbs shell 26 miles every 30 seconds from 9 separate rifles and not move the ship because of the masterful recoil system is unimaginable for those of us who never experienced it. This is a private tour that I feel privileged to have gotten the opportunity to experience. There was much more to see and experience, I only touched the surface of the experience.
