Good Tour - Very Bad customer service.

The tour was excellent. The booking process and customer service was dreadful. It took several days and many emails back and forth. I nearly gave up several times. Problems with the software (only given 1 minute to book instead of 20 mins, discount code worked at first but then didn't work, customer service would not answer my questions and kept giving me the same information relentlessly but not what I needed, I asked for email of whoever was in charge to complain - they ignored that. I've booked with Viator before and had no problems. The other thing is most tours you can only book for 2 persons. Hard luck if you are a solo traveller.

Great family tour with a little one

We had a nice day. We have a 2 1/2 year-old and did not want anything strenuous, but wanted to see some gems of Costa Rica. We experienced swimming in a waterfall, got to see all the animals that we wanted, had a delicious lunch and a very great experience at the coffee & cacao tour. We were picked up and met up with the larger group, so it was nice that they took into consideration the different locations of hotels. I appreciate the efficiency. Nana was a great guide. Everyone involved was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic Family Fun

We did a 4 hour ATV tour with Allan and Andy today through the mountains to a beautiful beach, ate an amazing lunch at a beachside restaurant, and then rode back to our meeting point. Our tour was amazing!! Andy and Allan did a fabulous job!! The tour included myself (44) my husband (44), son (16), son (13) and every member of our family loved every part of the trip. None of us have been on 4 wheelers much but Andy and Allan made us feel comfortable and confident all day. They communicated which gear we needed to be in throughout the entire tour. They made sure to slow us down when necessary and encouraged us to have fun when appropriate too. There were several areas to have fun and splash if we wanted to. We also stopped at a roadside market 1/2 way through to grab a snack a drink if we wanted and use the restroom. It was a nice way to also support a local store in the community. It started raining 1/2 way through our tour (we went during rainy season) and we got drenched but my crew loved it and thought it only enhanced their experience. I would highly recommend bringing a rain coat, a waterproof lanyard for your phone, and a waterproof bags (or a trash bag to put your bag in) for any bags you to bring. We found the bags helpful for our towels, raincoats if we didn’t wear them, and our drinks/snacks. We also wore close toed water shoes like keens and found them to be perfect. Our adventure was the perfect amount of fun, exciting and relaxing. One of the BEST parts of the day? Allan took a ton of photos and videos for us and shared them all with us at the end for free!! That gave me the opportunity to truly enjoy the day and know I would have the photos to reflect back on for a lifetime! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone and if we come back we would absolutely book with them again.

I'm so happy that i booked this tour, the views were amazing, we hike for about 2 hours and enjoying everything inside the rain and dry forest. Spot a few birds, it was raining on off so i suggesting to bring a rain jacket..the view from up there are spectacular about 2000 feet high. After that we went to the water fall ( but we couldn't swim because of the rain) had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant with different options of food😋 and finally relaxed at the hot springs and take a bath with the volcanic mud,the water is so hot. Our guide was prepared and explained us everything about the tour, and also our driver Frank did a good job. I high recommend it 👌

Best bday ever

We had such an amazing excursion day with Carlos! I was expecting a bus, but it ended up being a private experience with just me and my three friends, which made it even better. Carlos was extremely accommodating and even stopped for breakfast to make sure we ate before all of the activities. Some of us were nervous, but he made us feel comfortable and safe the entire time. He was also very knowledgeable and shared stories about Costa Rican culture along the way. We got to experience so many activities in one day, and Carlos made the whole experience fun and memorable. Highly recommend!

La Fortuna: ATV Adventure Through Rainforest & Volcano Views

Very fun, very safe, a little bit stinky

This was great! After a short safety briefing and a practice trip around a short track, you head out following the guide for a 2 hour jaunt through the forest, going over some pretty rough and muddy terrain. The ATVs are easy to control and can get up to a decent speed, and as long as you're being reasonably responsible, are perfectly safe -- we didn't feel like we were ever in danger of losing control or flipping the vehicle. There's a stop about halfway through at the river to stretch your legs, get wet if you want to, and have a quick snack, before you head back. There are some long stretches where you're driving on paved roads, which I found to be less fun than the muddy, rutted tracks in the forest, but overall this was a good time that I would do again. Two things to note: the description says there's an optional volcanic mud mask at the river, but our guide never mentioned it (not that I would have done it; the mud is not particularly inviting). Also, they provide helmets, but the helmets get quite warm and sweaty, and as a result they smell pretty bad. You get used to it (my partner has a delicate sense of smell and was fine) but it is a bit unpleasant in the beginning.

Great views, fun excursion

This was a fun sunset cruise. The views from the catamaran were amazing and we enjoyed the stop to snorkel and eat lunch. It was a little scary that the open bar was available prior to snorkeling, but all’s well that ends well? The boat guides were super nice and laid back - made for a very enjoyable afternoon.

We opted to do this arrival and departure. Arrival was a little hectic without having telephone service as soon as you arrive. However people who work at the airport were very helpful. Once communicated with driver everything was smooth. Departure was great driver arrived at the hotel early and we had a smooth ride to the airport.

Long day but lovely day. The weather was also super gloomy, but no one can account for that. On a brighter day, I’m sure the country is beautiful. Otherwise, what a wonderful opportunity to see another country. I think the pace was fine, and the stops were simple. There was really no need to spend extra time in these locations as there really is just one thing for you to see in each location, really, except the final boat tour.

Kevin and Kristian we're very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guides who made the tour fun and interesting. It was very well organized, the guide in the sloth sanctuary was very good and discovered lots of animals which he helped us photograph through the binoculars. The lunch location was well selected, the food delicious. Highly recommended!

We went on a sunset catamaran tour in Playa Flamingo on Tuesday 7/2/2026. Despite the not so Ideal weather for a sunset cruise, the atmosphere on board was relaxing, fun, and perfectly organized. A special thank you to our amazing Lazy Lizard crew, who made the experience even more memorable. They were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making everyone feel welcome from the moment we stepped on board. Their enthusiasm and excellent service created a fantastic experience for all guests.

Wonderful experience! The only potential downside is if someone doesn’t like crowds, the boat can get a fair amount of people on there, which can also add to the fun, but if you want a more private experience than that might be a distraction. Food was good, beautiful surroundings, saw sea turtle, and humpback whale!
