Excellent tour of Madeira

Diogo our driver and tour guide messaged me ahead of time to say he’d be the cruise terminal to pick us up. He arrived promptly and our family of 6 were shown to his clean and comfortable minibus. We wanted to ride on the toboggan as most tourists to Madeira do and he dropped us all at the top of the hill at the station. Diogo then met us at the bottom and we proceeded with the rest of the tour which took us to various viewing points with ample time for photos. Diogo was an excellent guide and accomplished driver on the narrow Madeira roads. I highly recommend this tour with Diogo.

Great walk with fantastic views

Brilliant experience. The weather for us was just perfect. Being above the clouds was phenomenal. It wasn’t too busy, views were ‘wow’ and then we got to sit and watch the sun set. Driver Luis was great and funny. Only thing that would have made it a little better was we were in a small minibus with two other couples and we were sat at the back and our friends were sat at the front so when Luis was chatting about the island and tips of what to do or foods to try we couldn’t hear what was being said so had to rely on friends to relay back to us, But other than that, we loved it. The pictures on the internet do make the walk look more scary than it is in real life ! FYI

Pedro was a wonderful guide for the day - we had a mixed small group of Brits, German and Ukraniane and Pedro kept us entertained and safe theough the whole trip. He has amazing energy and a great driver taking us up and down some thrilling roads and chatting to us at drink stops and sharing many fun stories. Highly recommended! Pedro you are a legend!

Ronaldo our driver and guide was equal parts charming, funny, knowledgeable and passionate. He clearly loves what he does and that shows in how he talks about the history of the island. I loved how he gently quizzed us on what he had told you already and involved everyone in the jeep. Things to remember, Embrace and Enjoy; be part of the tour. Take some cash with you as the first stop is cash only. Be prepared to take a load of pictures. And finaly if he asks you funny roads or normal the answer is always funny

The most incredible hike! I've done a fair few big hikes in my time and this was up there with the best! I can't recommend enough how much you need to do this trip!!! Our guide was Pedro, he was friendly, professional and an overall great guy. You get plenty of time for the walk itself and the transfers were smooth and easy.

Horst (sorry if not spelled right!) and Fransisco were great guides. Horst knew everything you could possibly think to ask him and was so passionate about the animals. I think he explained in detail about everything we saw in about 5 !? Languages. I am quite nervous on water but I felt really safe and secure on the tour, especially because the guide was so knowledgable about the animals. It was such a great tour and experience. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Madeira! Our guide, Luis, was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, fun to talk to, and had an impressive knowledge of Madeira’s history, culture, and natural beauty. Every stop came with interesting stories and insights that made us appreciate the island even more. If you’re visiting Madeira and want an easy, enjoyable way to see the island while learning about its history and culture, I can’t recommend this tour enough. Fantastic! I recommend

Our guide/driver was fantastic. Knowledgable, friendly and keen to give us the most out of our experience. Pack for all weather conditions and bring lots of water! Only negative thing to note is the car did break down at the end of the trip and the company arranged to have us picked up. This experience was the highlight of the trip and such a great way to see Madeira and avoid driving around the tight and steep roads.

The best way to see the West – amazing day with Miguel!

My girlfriend and I had an incredible tour of the western part of Madeira with Miguel. We were lucky enough to be the only guests, which turned the day into a fantastic private experience. Gorgeous day on the water

Great communication from On Tales up through the morning of the cruise. Had about ten people on the boat during our 10:30 expedition - everybody fit more than comfortably. Beatriz and Bruno were friendly, knowledgeable and skilled and were very up front with the days conditions and expected sightings. Cruised off Calheta for a while chasing a few dolphins which we managed to see, although they were feeding at the time and not in a bigger school. Lovely ride across long, gentle waves along the scenic south coast. Stop near Porta Do Sol for some swimming and the place lived up to its name with the sun in full effect. Refreshments during the cruise and full access to all areas of the boat. Even with minimal dolphin and whale activity it was an exceptional day on the water. Highly recommended especially if you prefer a smaller group setting than the larger tourist boats!
