Top Fiji Day Trips

We were met at the end of the Arrival Hall with a smile and a sign with our name on it. The driver’s name was Imoo, and he gave us great info and suggestions about Fiji. We even stopped by a store to buy drinks and snacks before taking us to our destination.

This tour was great! They originally messaged me late the night before to cancel, saying I was the only one booked which was really annoying, but then they called back early the next morning to say a few more people had joined and we could proceed if I wanted. Peter picked me up from my hotel and we drove on our own for about an hour before reaching the next pick-up spot. There was one more pick up after that but found out the couple had actually rescheduled, so it ended up being just the two of us on the tour! Once we arrived in the village, we were turned over to Isaac who led the rest of the tour. He took us out on a motorized boat down the Navua River and provided commentary along the way. There was a short hike to the waterfall where we were able to swim. Then we went back to the boat, transferred to the bamboo raft for a bit (a very cool experience!), and then back to the motorized boat to return to the village. The whole boat ride was beautiful with multiple waterfalls to be seen along the way. Once back in the village, we could change into dry clothes before being treated to traditional dances, a kava ceremony, and lovo lunch. Isaac explained everything very well, and we got to participate, too. It was all very entertaining, but I also felt honored that they were willing to host us in their home and share their traditions with us. I was there the last day of school break and Isaac's children were adorable- especially Deborah who sat with me for a bit and held my hand while we were walking around the village. The children also participated in the ceremony and songs- it was nice to see how they are learning the traditional ways and culture at a young age (Deborah is 3). I learned so much about the village and history (including their cannibalistic past!). Peter drove me back to my hotel after we learned more about the importance of coconuts (used for more than just food and drink), weaving, and other art they practice (the ceremonial house was painted by Isaac's mother). The overall travel time was about 6 hours, round trip, so it's quite a ways from Nadi, but it was worth it! If you want to do something different and not just have another beach day, book this trip! It was perfect!

The food and cultural dance were the highlights of the tour. The performances were lively and engaging, and the food was delicious. The team also had a small surprise for our children and sang them birthday wishes at the end of the ceremony, which made the experience feel very personal and special. However, you need lots of mosquito spray. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience.

We had an incredible experience zip lining—it was so much fun! The climb was a bit challenging, but once you reached the top, it was absolutely worth it for the views and the thrill of zipping through the trees. Our tour guide, Bruce, was amazing. He held onto my cell phone the entire time and took photos and videos of our zip-lining adventure. He truly went above and beyond, and he didn’t have to do that—so thank you, Bruce, for giving us such wonderful memories. The cave tour was brief but very cool. Bruce even went the extra mile by venturing deeper into the cave after the rest of the tours had already left, allowing him to capture some incredible photos. Highly recommend this zip-line experience—well worth the money!

Our experience was amazing! Would highly recommend. Va was our private cabana butler and he was super attentive and made sure we never needed for anything. As soon as we arrived, she found us a speaker so we could listen to our own music, made sure we were not bothered by unwelcome or non-paying guests in the private area. She checked in on us frequently and had such a great sense of humor. She was so welcoming and really gave us the Fiji experience. If back in Nadi, I would definitely visit Malamala beach club and personally request Va!

The catamaran broke down once we had boarded. The workers made us comfortable and fed and watered us. We then offered an alternative trip which was fantastic. The guides were super friendly and fun, they made the whole experience a lot of fun for the kids and guides took us to the best snorkelling spots.

It was incredible. Highly recommend this specific trip, it was very personable, we felt the crew really connected with us all, we were lucky enough to have a small group so more intimate. Island all to yourself. Snorkelling fun! Scuba diving great! Lunch was delicious. Very very chill and would absolutely recommend this to all my friend and family. Boat is really cool as well.

Cloud 9 is absolutely amazing — a must-do when visiting Fiji! The views are breathtaking, surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water that looks straight out of a postcard. The staff were friendly, fun, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The pizza was delicious and cooked perfectly in their wood-fired oven, and the cocktails were fresh and tropical. It’s the perfect place to relax, swim, take photos, or just enjoy the vibe with good music and beautiful scenery. The trip there and back was smooth and well-organized too. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique day out in paradise!
