Pass the idle hours at Castaway Island, a pristine and private South Pacific destination in the heart of Fiji's Mamanuca Islands—fringed by tropical rain forest, white-sand beaches and coral reefs in turquoise waters.
Board a luxurious high-speed catamaran from Denarau Marina to Castaway Island, passing other Mamanuca Islands en route. Once the vessel pulls into the lagoon, you have free time to laze about under an island palm, dip into the Castaway Island Resort Pool, snorkel in the azure sea, hop in a kayak, or try windsurfing—among other non-motorized waters sports (additional costs apply).
To maximize Castaway Island's tropical tranquility, drop off your children at the ‘Kids Club’ (additional cost, payable direct), where they enjoy a mixture of games and fun activities with a Fijian flavor.

Excellent and friendly crew. Lovely lunch on the island. Plenty of pool and beach time. Watersports were offered but I opted not too. Our guide on board and on the island was excellent but I cannot remember her name. A lovely day on the island until the weather turned late in the day

Nice day to get a feel for the resort islands. Beautiful scenery. Filling buffet lunch with many options. Very few chairs available on the beach. By the time the day trip arrives the overnight guests have taken all.the chairs. Snorkeling clarity will depend on the weather. There are definitely some pretty fish, but rough seas may make them harder to view.

Best island for swimming. Good food. But no chairs or hammocks to sit on as they are attached to people staying at the resort. The real cast away island is across from it. But you can take a photo with the ball.
Outstanding beach! Pool was very refreshing and lunch was good! We really enjoyed the welcome and send off!
Castaway was an amazing experience got an amazing couples massage on the beach in a quiet area. Beautiful snorkeling and great time for family fun

Not much to enjoy at the island. The beach and seashore are not good enough for swimming, snorkeling or other water activities. Other islands seem better. Not the exact island of Castaway indeed. Just an island looking at the real island that took the movie and using the name to attract customers. Staff so far not friendly and good attitude.

The Castaway Island day trip includes return catamaran transfers from Port Denarau, coach transfers to/from most Nadi/Denarau hotels, 5 hours on the island, a delicious lunch, and access to resort facilities such as swimming pools, complimentary snorkelling gear, kayaks, and paddle boards. Each trip also includes a day cruise escort to assist guests throughout the day.

It was nice sitting on the boat exploring different island but overall th guide did very little for the group other than make sure she counted the numbers on and off. There were other islands with drinks packages for $25 and $40 ticket with the ferry..
island hotel staff were lovely and friendly.

An incredible island to explore in Fiji. We were able to see baby black tip reef sharks and rays the minute we stepped into the ocean! Travel there was seamless (just under 2 hours by boat) which is a wee bit harder on the way home. Only “negative” was we only got 4.5 hours on the island but was enough time to relax, snorkel, swim and eat! Would highly recommend.

Would rather have saved the money and the day staying at our resort in Denarau. Had to pay for beach towels and the buffet was mediocre. Transfer back to our hotel was chaotic.
Our tour guide, Merewei, was lovely and the staff on the island were very nice. Enjoyed the welcome singing and departure singing too.

The snorkeling was great and the buffet lunch was delicious. I would have liked the pool to be a little cooler as it was a bit warm.
A beautiful greeting on the white sands by the staff as we got off the boat! Straight to a hammock under the trees with a coconut water from the gardens. The whole experience was bliss from the moment we stepped off the boat!

Staff was amazing! Food was so good and the island was one of the most beautiful ones I've ever been to. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Worth every dollar!
Way too many stops on the way back at the end of day! We missed dinner reservation in Denarau, tour said back by 5pm?! We did not arrive back until 6:15pm! Denied my nephew lunch becuz at Castaway lunch buffet he was wet????? Isn’t this a beach/water excursion? Not good snorkeling at all which is false advertising! Not clear on what water apparatuses are part of fee as well!??? Hosts always away from desks. Took forever to get my credit card back…lunch buffet included was not great. No one explained what was included, etc. and how much of the island you had access to within the actual resort?!?
Water was nice. Snorkeling was good. It was nice having a quiet adult pool. Overall it was a great time.

Amazing authentic just beautiful. A must visit with the family or friends.
We had a great time. Staff were great, very friendly and caring.
The food was very good. I like the fried noodles with different ingredients one.
Also the water activities were nice
Boat is a ferry, which cruises from one island to another. Food is buffet. A lot of seagrass, a lot of seacucumbers, not many fishes, staff had smiles, but no understanding of making tourism and hosting. For european people a smile is too little for this price, it was more or less a boattour. And be aware, that Cast-away Island is not the filmset of Castaway with Tom Hanks, thats Monuriki, Castaway is a simple island. Positiv its possible to take sunbeds at the pool. But therefore you dont go to fiji island, right?

The Fijian islands are breathtaking and our day visit to castaway island was amazing. Our tour guide Mary was lovely and looked after us the whole day. The trip out there was 90mins but worth it once we were there. We snorkeled, kayaked and had a buffet lunch, all which was included in the price. The best day we’ve had in a long time and the Fijian hospitality is second to none! Would recommend this trip to anyone as you don’t be disappointed!
30m from a beach is a perfect snorkeling area with a high tide when you arrive, 1pm time for a lunch in a local restaurant with a view, later you can swim in ocean or pools. Fijian services everywhere with smiles😎
After arriving on the island and given an introduction to the facilities and layout we were left alone to take in the peace and tranquillity of this heavenly piece of paradise 👌🏝️
Ferry trip was over 1,5 hrs - worth the trip but a quicker trip would make it a 5/5 - could have done it all in fewer hours
DON’T BOOK WITH VIATOR.
Viator is the worse platform. I was supposed to be charged $280 but they charged me $424 and they didn’t want to refund me or to understand me. Be careful with this platform because I booked 4 trip and for the four trip they took me at least $100 more than they have to charge me.
The overall experience was good. Pick up from Ramada Hotel was smooth but we waited in the long like to collect hand wristbands to go Castaway island. On the way to castaway ferry journey was good. Island catering service was good. Kayaking and snorkeling were free. On the way back from Castaway island to port denarau was delayed due to many stops in the other islands. Over all experience was good I must say price is way to expensive compared to buying tickets at the Port Denarau, Fiji. I hope Viator will reduce price. The original price per person at Port Denarau is 229 FJD. Viator charged us 1.5 times of original tour package in Castaway island.
Oh the day cruise was well worth the price and journey to the beautiful Cast Away Island. It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and HOT AF, the beach water was at a perfect temperature and so was the pool. The buffet was superb! The staff were extra friendly. I love how family oriented the island is and they cater to everyone. Every part of the day cruise was a 20/10. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to stay a few nights at this Island. All the included activities were so much fun. We were having second thoughts about going but it was such a relief we didn’t. It would’ve been a huge regret!
