Discover Italy’s winemaking heritage at Terre Rosse Vallania, a historic boutique winery in the Colli Bolognesi, just 15 minutes from Bologna. Founded in 1964 by Enrico Vallania, the estate has been expanded and now is run by friends Giulio and Enrico, dedicated to preserving and innovating.
Your visit begins with a warm welcome from a guide, leading you through the vineyards and winery. Walk among Sauvignon, Pignoletto, Cabernet, Chardonnay, and Merlot vines, learning how the region’s terroir—known as the “Paese dei Perditempo”—influences each variety.
Explore the winery’s blend of tradition and modernity, discovering how grapes are carefully selected, fermented, and aged to produce quality wines. The highlight is a tasting of four signature wines: Chardonnay DOC, Pignoletto DOC, Pignoletto Superiore DOCG, and Merlot DOC, paired with regional delicacies like mortadella, salame ubriacato al Pignoletto, tigelle, and Parmigiano Reggiano.
