This experience was amazing because of the natural and our tour guide from Red Lava, Rasta and driver, Manuel. He was patient and knowledgeable about the environment. He explained everything in laymen's terms. The driver was a safe driver. We walked on 5 hanging bridges which was breath taking. A must-do. It rained during the hanging bridges part so we didn't get to see much wildlife, but being in and seeing the rain fall in the rainforest was nostalgic. It gave meaning. There was a lot of hiking during the hanging bridges but beautiful nonetheless. Also, during the volcano, lots of hiking. I suggest wearing hiking closed toe shoes. Lunch was a great break in between and it was tasty. The waterfall had a lot of stairs. Harder up than down. It was so beautiful seeing the waterfall. Bring swim shoes if you plan on getting in the waterfall to swim. The hot springs were a great way to wind down and relax your body. Overall, the experience was worth every penny, every step, every tired feeling, and every minute. I recommend Red Lava as your company of choice for this experience. I also recommend a half day for those not physically capable and for young children. It was a lot in one day. WATER BOTTLES AND RAIN JACKETS/PONCHOS a must!!!!

Book this adventure now…you will not regret the fun and memories you will make rafting! My family has rafted before in the US (in Maine, etc) but hands down enjoyed this experience so much more. For one, the water and scenery were beautiful but our guide and the experience were top notch. Our guide, Carlos González, made sure to have fun with us and hit all the rapids. This was the first time for my BFF and her daughter (mother-daughter girls trip), but they both loved it and felt safe the entire trip. During the ride over to the river, Carlos thoroughly explained the safety precautions, dos and dont’s, paddling commands, etc. He took every measure to ensure we were prepared for the river. During our time on the river, Carlos also talked about the river, the area, and pointed out birds or animals. He was extensively knowledgeable about the La Fortuna area. The fresh fruit break on the river was great and the traditional Costa Rican meal back at the rafting place hit the spot. My BFF can’t wait to come back to CR with both our families and take them all on the river.

Our driver Diego was great! He stopped at some cool look out spots along the way and was very knowledgeable of the area. Our guide Helen for the AatV tour was great and we had a blast. The chocolate tour with Heidi and Kia were FANTASTIC!! It was so intresting and cool to see the beginning to end proccess and be able to eat it all along the way. Will absolutely do it again next time I'm in Costa Rica!

This was such a fun couple of hours. I loved visiting the markets, and the cathedral. It was fun to taste fresh fruits from the market! The ice cream was yummy! The tamales at the end were so delicious especially with the gold sauce on it. It was really fun to make our empanada to enjoy with coffee. The staff were amazing!

This was a great trip. It was great to be picked up at our hotel. The guide was very knowledgeable. He shared a lot along the way to the gardens. They stopped along the way to purchase food, gifts and coffee. The Garden was beautiful but it rained the whole time. I didn't feel confident in the rain to hike the waterfall. The included buffet was good!

We loved this tour. Our guide Albert was so well educated and taught us so much along the tour. I really wanted to hear everything he had to say. Alberto the driver was a great driver. Sometime tour drivers are super aggressive drivers and gives me a little anxiety. I had no worries with Alberto. He also pulled over when the volcano appeared so we could get pictures as it had been in the clouds for days. It rained A LOT during our tour, but we still enjoyed it!

The entire process was flawless. Hotel pickup was on time, the tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Our tour included a Costa Rican style meal, which was very good.
