This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The sloth tour was the highlight—we were just a meter away from a baby sloth! It was such a rare and magical moment. Our sloth guide, Pablo, was amazing—knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly dedicated to protecting the wildlife.
Our overall guide for the day (also named Pablo) was fantastic—friendly, engaging, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
The waterfall stop was breathtaking, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. And the interactive cacao and coffee tour was such a treat. We learned so much about the growing and production process and got to taste incredibly fresh cacao and coffee—some of the best we’ve had.
This tour was the perfect blend of nature, wildlife, and culture, and it was made even better by the fantastic guides. Absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

We had a ball with Rudy and Luis! They were prompt and professional. We had a small group of 5 and everything was handled, no problems whatsoever. We started with waterfall and thankfully before it got super busy. Rudy was good about pointing out wildlife and made no pressure to visit stands or anything. Everyone knew him and his English was great.
We then went to the Coffee and Chocolate tour where once again, everyone knew Rudy. Emmanuel was our tour guide there. Very knowledgeable and answered all questions. We had fun interactions with him and Jessica as she prepared fresh coffee and chocolate for us. Everything was delicious.
From there, we went sloth watching at the sanctuary and Kevin was our tour lead. He's young and truly interested in the animals. He was able to get us close up pics of snakes, frogs and sloths. It started raining and our tour went on. Kevin is a biologist with a focus on snakes and frogs but I don't believe there is an animal that he doesn't know well.
Last, we had a delicious lunch! So many choices, so much food, fresh fruit drinks and water, even better service. Love this place!!!
And then back home. Luis is the perfect driver. I slept on the way back so easily even though he was truly driving those small roads.
I would highly recommend as a good intro to Costa Rica.

Rudy was our tour guide and he truly made the experience so wonderful! As someone go likes to learn about a country and its culture when I travel, this tour did exactly that. It was our last excursion of our trip and it was truly the best!

Excellent experience for families; my daughters are 10 and 12 and enjoyed all of the experiences. One thing to note is that it can be a long car ride back to the hotel/resort depending on where you are staying but the guide was very knowledgeable about the different areas we traveled through which made the time in the car go by quickly. Overall the excursion was a good variety of different activities.

Rudy, our guide, and Orlando, our driver, were great hosts! Timely pick up from our meeting spot. Took the time to answer questions and went out of the way to make sure we got to see different things. Rudy was very knowledgeable and had great stories. Orlando met us out cold drinks after our climb up from the waterfall and fresh sweet pineapples after our sloth walk. Learned a lot and saw so many different foliage and species! Completely satisfied!

I went with 4 couples at different levels of athletic ability from sedentary to athletic. All levels were able to complete the excursion and fully enjoy every moment! Carlos was an exceptional guide with a ton of knowledge about the rainforest. We saw frogs, snakes and sloths! Snacks and lunch were provided. Highly recommend.

It was wet and chilly but a wonderful experience. Guides were knowledgeable, fun and efficient. My first time in July but I really enjoyed the cooler weather and didn’t mind the rain. Would recommend a wind breaker, a hat and rain boots to change into. The temperature change with the micro climates are unpredictable and can be a little uncomfortable if not prepared. We loved Kevin at the nature center. He was kind natured and Knowlegable.

Rudy (our guide) and Orlando (our driver) were absolute delights on our Nature Lover’s tour. They were exceptional hosts and incredibly knowledgeable. All the stops on the tour were beautiful, but the highlight was for sure the wildlife tour up in the rainforest. Getting to see two species of sloth, two species of frogs, and a pit viper was unforgettable.

We took this tour with our two sons (ages 18 and 15). It was incredible and our tour guide Rudy was fantastic. He kept us entertained on the drive with stories and information. We got to see a sloth up close and personal along with other animals, bugs and snakes! We also really enjoyed the waterfall and coffee/chocolate tour. Overall it was an amazing and memorable day. The lunch was also yummy. We didn’t feel rushed at all. We highly recommend! Well planned and a great way to spend a day in Costa Rica.

Fun day out! Rudy was a great guide. We headed out early. Unfortunately because of heavy rains, we couldn’t do the falls. We went to a part of the river that wasn’t pretty. A bit disappointing. But the sloth watching was a cool experience! We saw a snake, toucans, frogs and several sloths, one being very close. Lunch was great, and the coffee/chocolate tasting was a fun experience. Overall, a nice day to see and explore Costa Rica.

This was a wonderful excursion! We had Jose as our guide and Orlando was the driver. Everything was super organized and planned out very well. They had little surprises along the way that were great. It’s a long day but they made it fun the whole way. We had a wonderful guide named Kevin during the rainforest part of the trip. He really enjoys the animals and helped with getting great pictures. Jose had our lunch pre ordered which was amazing. Jose even had a wonderful guy named “Drone Man” help us with photos at the waterfall. Like I said everything was smooth and planned out. It would be great for kids. I would highly recommend this tour! Ask for Jose if you can.

It was great to have a good variety of experiences in a single excursion. Our guide, Carlos, was excellent! Very engaging and knowledgeable. We learned about the animals in their natural habitat and the history of the land. The ride there went so quickly because of all the information shared along the way. The waterfall was beautiful and an easy walk down a short hillside. We saw howler monkeys in the trees. The coffee and chocolate experience had such good flavours and an opportunity to see and participate a little in the process. The rainforest was beautiful- seeing the creatures in their natural surroundings provided beautiful photo opportunities and lunch in a wonderful covered terrace among the trees was excellent - we had the fish. Our photos from this single day were fantastic. Carlos was very easy to speak with and answered all of our questions with ease. We were picked up and dropped off at our place in Potrero, so the ride home felt a little long but well worth it. The perfect day trip!

Rudy and Luis were are guides. The waterfall was amazing but I feel like we didn’t have much time there. I understand they must stick to a schedule but we felt rushed between activities. We saw sloths which was awesome! We could’ve done without the coffee tour, as it felt very touristy and most of the guests were really tired by then. I’m 50/50 if we’d book this again. Maybe without the coffee stop and maybe with another guide who wasn’t as pushy.

We had an amazing time on this excursion! Alejandro was VERY informative on a wide range of topics. The waterfall was nice, we got to see a few sloths a beautiful viper snake and a tree frog. The cacao and coffee tour was awesome, we learned a lot and got to sample the cacao in different stages and buy some chocolate and coffee.

This was the best tour! This review is a little long, but it’s absolutely worth reading.
We started at the waterfall and then headed into the rainforest, where we saw two sloths, a snake, a frog, beautiful flowers, and so much more. The coffee and cocoa experience was also fantastic. They even feed you, and the food was delicious!
Louis was a fantastic driver, and Rudy was an amazing tour guide. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience unforgettable.
10/10 — highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

What an amazing experience! I recommend checking in with the tour guide about pickup time if you're not booking a private tour - since that means you may be grouped with other people and the shuttle have to make multiple pickups. Rudy was our guide for the tour and Orlando was our driver and both were incredible. Rudy was so knowledgeable and engaging with our group. Our favorite part of the tour was definitely the sloth watching & walking through the rainforest. Definitely bring your rain jacket for this because it does rain on and off! This was an easy trip - the most strenuous part was walking up the steps for the waterfall to get back to the shuttle. But otherwise fairly easy.

We didn’t know what a great tour this was until we went on others. The tour guides provided plenty of opportunities to stop and see the beautiful country of Costa Rica. We even stopped on the way to the waterfall to get pictures and see toucans. Never felt rushed during the tour, but kept it moving at a good pace. Had a wonderful experience with Jose and our driver, Gustavo.

Our tour with Rudy (guide) and Colorado (driver) was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip to Costa Rica. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, fun, and full of incredible moments.

We had a private black sprinter van for our family group of 6 people. The van could have comfortably fit 2 more people. Our driver Eddie was pleasant. We got to see a baby sloth at eye level hidden behind some leaves. The tour guide pulled back the leaves so we could take some awesome pictures with it. The waterfall was nice too. Nothing was too long or difficult of a walk. Pickup and drop off was easy. We left our vehicle parked at the local automercado parking lot. We arrived more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time and our driver was already there waiting. Great experience and would recommend.

We began our tour at a waterfall...beautiful! Next was an interactive experience on a coffee / chocolate farm. From the trees where it all begins to the finished product that you can buy in their gift shop. Tasting and actually helping to prepare the coffee and chocolate with the help from the farm's staff, was a highlight! A delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch... followed by an easy walk through a rainforest that didn't disappoint. Slough, red-eyed toad, blue-jean frog, toucans and amazing vegetation. Rudy our guide for the day was exceptional. So glad we booked this excursion!

It was so interesting to see how they make coffee and chocolate. Was able to get good pics from the tour guides when we saw wildlife.

The falls were beautiful, seeing how chocolate and coffee were made was really interesting and we saw frogs, birds, a toucan and several sloths including a baby sloth that was right above our head! SO incredible and I highly recommend this tour! Jose and Orlando were great!

Our driver Orlando was attentive and awesome. When returning from the waterfall swim, he was waiting for us with bottled waters! Rudy our guide was spectacular and knowledgeable.
The waterfall was a short walk. We saw monkeys in the trees. It was beautiful and relaxing. Then we headed to the coffee and chocolate tour. Wow! Hilary gave us the most educational tour. I learned so much about the history and the making and growing of their organic coffee and chocolates. The tastings were the most delicious drinks and I had to buy some! I had coffee all wrong all this time.
The lunch was delicious. Saw a toucan and a vulture in the trees next to the restaurant! Then off we went to the rain forest. Glad Rudy told me to use my trekking/walking poles-some parts were muddy and small steps. Our guide was fantastic! He spotted all the animals! And boy did he know all the phone functions of taking the perfect pictures of the sloths, frogs, and snake! It was a truly amazing experience!
It was an easy, relaxing and beautiful excursion that I highly reccomend.

We had a great day with Rudy and Louis! The bus was clean and comfortable. And all the stops were fun and informative! We loved the chocolate experience and seeing animals was a high light! This tour is family friendly. We had a 12 year old and 4 year old with us and it was enjoyed by all.

The tour started very early in the morning, but the moment we were picked up by Orlando, we were treated like family. We met the group in Liberia where we met our guide Jose. Both Orlando and Jose wanted to make sure we had a wonderful experience. I learned so much at the coffee and chocalate place that I shared information with my family. Then we headed to the rainforest. Jose asked what we were more excited to possibly see. He didn't disappoint in wildlife and with a refreshing pineapple snack afterwards. That was the best pineapple I have ever had. We headed off to lunch where our plates were full of a variety of food. Great tour and amazing guides.
