I don’t usually travel with tours set up. I do my own research and buy a tour book ( which I do read). This trip I had to see Frieda Kahlo’s house. Huge fan of her work. I was not disappointed. The guides were well informed and I learned a few things I didn’t know. The bus was clean and guides very pleasant. We were able to meet people from other parts of the world! Fun!! Professor Rios led a fascinatiing and well paced 3.5 hr tour of the wonderful Coyocan with food stops along the way, my ticket included entrance to Freida Kahlo home/ museum so we didn’t have to wait and a perfect way to end the tour. Our tour guide, Sara was amazing. She took us to the Frida Kahlo museum and had so many extras to share about her life. She also took us to another museum of the collections of Diego Rivera. We enjoyed homemade snacks on the boats at Xochimilco and some dancing. She was able to incorporate our special requests too.
