Cedrela was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about Frida Kahlo’s life, as well as her work as an artist and activist. I learned about her contributions to the feminist movement too. She brought us to two different markets for some delicious quesadillas, tostadas, and agua frescas. We also got fresh churros while exploring Jardín Hidalgo. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Frida, while trying some amazing food and learning about Coyoacán. 5 stars for Cedrela!

Jordan was a fun and informative guide through this amazingly beautiful city. We highly recommend him. I mean, come on!😂

Cocó was the absolute best tour guide anyone could ask for - making a trip through a beautiful city even more magical with much needed context, history, and food! If you have a chance to experience Frida Kahlo with this tour, it’s highly recommended.

We had a great experience on this tour. Meg was a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. She had a great energy towards the subject she was delivering to us.
Highly recommend this tour.

Sebastian was an excellent guide - so knowledgable, entertaining, efficient!
Coyoacan is a beautiful part of the city.
Highly recommended.

Rosa was a fun and interesting guide. She explained the area and history very well. And made sure to find shade and seats for the group when possible. The food on the tour was sooo good. She called ahead so the vendors had food ready for us and also gave us a little time to walk around while she obtained food.
Rosa was good with children and adults. I highly recommend this tour, learning more about Frida and Diego before going to the museum was so helpful. And La Casa Azul was the least interesting part of the tour, so that tells you how good the rest of the tour was. I would recommend!

Alex was a very kind, gracious, and informative guide! We got to see so much of Coyocan and learn all throughout, and had some great food!

This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Sebastian was exceptional. His knowledge of the local area, its history and culture was fantastic. He has a great sense of humor that adds to the enjoyment of the tour. He explained everything about the life of Frida Kahlo so that by the time we got to visit her house, it all made sense. And the markets and food we visited were wonderful. Can’t recommend this tour, and Sebastian enough.

My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout the world and enjoy small group tours to introduce us to various cities. This tour was one of the best experiences, primarily because Jordan was our tour guide. Jordan was warm, friendly, entertaining, and a great storyteller. If you want an introduction to Mexico City, this is your tour and Jordan is your tour guide!
Kara_R, Feb 2026
Rosa was very knowledgeable and was such a wonderful tour guide. She is passionate about her city and Frida and Diego. Truly enjoyed every minute!

Oh this was a real treat. I personally booked it cause i wanted to go to Fridas museum and couldn’t get tix in time, but our guide MARIA 😍 oh Mariaaaaaa 😍 took us on a beautiful journey through Coyoacans history including Fridas life. I highly recommend this tour for whoever is a fan or not. Maria with a background in history has so much knowledge, super friendly and created the best time for all of us. On top of that, we tried the best food in the market, yummm 😋
Thank you Maria 💗

Informative and enjoyable. Rolf was great host . We were delayed due to traffic and he was accomodating and positive and made sure we do not miss the start of program.
We enjoyed the interactive learning about Frida Kahlo ‘s life.

Meg is the best tour guide - you won’t be disappointed with this one. Perfect balance of history, food, art and culture. Can’t recommended highly enough.

The experience was absolutely wonderful. Nothing felt rushed and Maria was especially kind to those with special needs and who needed accommodations! We found food and places we wouldn’t have seen or tasted if not for this tour.

A great experience. Totally worth the time. Our guide Jenny was very knowledgeable and we had an amazing time. .

Jordan was fantastic! He’s a great storyteller - hearing him explain the history behind CDMX and Frida’s life was very engaging and he took us through beautiful and meaningful parts of coyoacan. We loved the little bites we enjoyed along the way - he’s very funny and the timing of each part of the tour felt perfect. It was so nice that the museum entrance is included in this tour, and it was the last thing on the itinerary so we were free to roam around at our own pace. 10/10 recommended!!
David_W, Apr 2025
Jordan was amazingly knowledgeable and told the story of Frida and the area very well. And he was able to bridge the gap between native Mexican people, Frida, and current day thought.
Brandi_M, Apr 2025
Jen was a great guide, telling us the whole Frida and Diego telenovela. Along the way, we saw the sights and had great food. Highly recommend.
Cecily_T, Apr 2025
Diego was terrific. Great time visiting Coyoacán and the museum. We decided to do this because the Frieda Kahlo museum was sold out during our trip- but this tour added so much to our experience. We loved seeing the streets where she walked and get a better understanding of the cultural context of her day to day life. We recommend this experience, a great way to see Coyoacán!
Mabel_U, Apr 2025
This was the first tour I did on my solo trip to CDMX. Cedrela was our guide and she sent prompt and detailed instructions the day before on where to meet which was super easy to get to and identify the group. She was very detailed in her historical facts of not only Frida but the demographic of the area to really ground the tour. She was truly so kind and patient with the group as well. She even made note I had a reservation and sent me my museum ticket in case I wanted to go ahead.
We did go over the alotted time so just be cautious of any plans you may have after as we got to the Museo closer to 2pm and the tour began at 1030.
This is also a great deal - you will get some yummy bites and beverages in addition to access to the museum plus multiple bathroom stops throughout.
Don’t hesitate to book!

This was such a great walking tour filled knowledge and amazing local food. I would highly recommend this walking tour!
Clayton_S, Apr 2025
To be honest we only bought this tour because it was the only way we could get tickets to La Casa Azul and I am so happy that it was! The tour covered a ton of Coyoacán, the history of the area, and of course a deep dive into Frida and Diego. There was more food than we were expecting which was a nice surprise. Daniella was absolutely great! Even when dealing with a particularly needy group member she handled it like an absolute pro.
There is a strict entrance time at Casa Azul, but you can stay as long as you want which my wife very much enjoyed. We stayed about an hour which was plenty of time to not only see everything but to sit and relax and really take it all in.
The tour was a 10/10. Would highly recommend it to my friends and if you're lucky you'll get Daniella as your guide as well!
Daniela_P, Apr 2025
Awesome experience. Great information and great food and locations. Highly reccomend! Daniela was awesome! My only recommendation as an add on is perhaps learn more about the churro history? We had a great time! Thank you!
Lani_W, Mar 2025
Our guide was amazing! She had so much knowledge about the history and of Frida’s story. She took us to the best places for food, especially the churros. It was the perfect way to spend a morning and one of the highlights of our trip! Thank you.
Katryna_F, Mar 2025
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Rolf is informative and knows so much about Coyoacàn and Frida. We learned a ton and loved all of the history and stories he shared. The snacks we stopped for were delicious as well. Highly recommend.
