What are people saying about Brazil

The easiest way to „feel the jungle”
Our tour guide, Bernardo was not only very friendly but also committed, providing a lot of interesting information along the way, even before reaching the Tijuca Park. He also did his best to spot the animals along the way. We have encountered a large group of monkeys and two tucans.
The trip itself was well organised and comfortable with door to door pickup and drop off.
The itinerary was well thought, combining car commute, jungle hike (which gave us a real feel of the forest without being tiring) and free time at the Duchess Waterfall.
We spent a great time and would definitely recommend!

Best Guided Tour
This is the best way to experience Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. We were picked up at our hotel in a nice tour bus. Our guide gave us a lot of information about the history of the city and different spots on our way to Christ the Redeemer. Our guide was able to navigate us through the lines of each destination with ease and efficiency. We had a very minimal wait time. We were dropped off right in front of our hotel after the tour was over. This is the best way to experience Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain especially if this is your first visit.

A Great Day in Rio - Well Worth the Time and Money
I went on this tour in April of 2026. I was visiting Brazil and Rio for work. I was fortunate to have a Portuguese speaking Carioca (someone from Rio) as my +1 for the day. The tour guide, Zeni, was terrific. She spoke at least 4 languages, maybe more - English was definitely one of them. You might want to learn a few words and phrases in Portuguese, but you can get by without it. The van for the tour was large, well-maintained, and air-conditioned. Zeni did a great job with communication the day of the tour during pickup, and throughout the day using What's App. I never once felt lost, unclear, or unsafe. Zeni handled securing tickets for the train ride up the mountain to Christ the Redeemer, and also for the Sugarloaf Mountain "ride." Although it was a tour, Zeni let us split up at the main attractions for enough time to explore without needing to be attached to her hip and try and hear her give explanations amongst the crowds - which I very much appreciated. The time to reconvene and location was always clear. She gave clear safety instructions when needed (at a couple spots on the tour you don't want to have your phone in your hand for fear of it being snatched - but that's anywhere in Rio). The tour's organization (Christ the Redeemer first, Catedral Metropolitana de São Sebastião, Escadaria Selarón, lunch, then Sugarloaf Mountain) was well planned to beat bigger crowds and wait times. The day never felt long or like it was dragging although I was tired at the end. As advertised you will drive past the famous soccer stadium and where they do Carnivale, but that is it. I didn't love the lunch, but I am not much of a meat eater. If you like meat, you will enjoy the place they take you. Everything is included in your ticket except whatever you drink and have for dessert.
If you've never seen Christ the Redeemer in person it is certainly impressive and worth doing even if you aren't religious. It was crowded, but I am guessing it is crowded all day every day. The Escadaria Selarón steps were really neat. You won't have time there to do much other than take a few pictures and walk up the steps and back if you feel like it, but it was still a highlight for me. Finally, the Sugarloaf Mountain experience was something I will never forget. If you're afraid of heights I'm not sure what to tell you - close your eyes maybe - but it was fantastic. The cable car rides were amazing - pretty smooth too - and well organized. The views can't be beaten. If I ever come back here I will 100% do this again.
In sum, this tour was well organized, safe, and allowed me to pack into my one free day the chance to see all the major tourist attractions in Rio. I recommend Zeni as a guide unconditionally.

Beautiful escape from the...
Beautiful escape from the business of Rio. Victor was a really enthusiastic guide who actively searched for wildlife for us to see and gave great recommendations. We were very glad to have a small glimpse into Brazilian nature and wildlife so close to the city, with very little travel effort on our part.

100% Recommend: Authentic Tour!
I traveled solo to Rio and booked the Rocinha tour with Liz, my tour guide, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions I made! As a local guide, she brought the favela to life with genuine stories, hidden gems, and insider tips that no standard tour could match. What stood out most was how safe and comfortable she made me feel from start to finish—perfect for a solo traveler like me. The experience was so real and unforgettable that I’d recommend her 100% to anyone visiting. Book it—you won’t regret it!

Great for the ‘must sees’ in Rio.
A great day out that gets you to the ‘must see’ attractions. Flávio our guide adjusted the tour so that we missed the busy times at the main attractions thus reducing queue times which was good. It would have been helpful to me if he’d had a lollipop stick/ flag/ umbrella to see him as a couple of times I lost him for a short while. One guide I saw had an oven glove (mitten) which was unique when he raised his hand.

Well Designed Tour!
It was a great tour to catch the main highlights of Rio. Well organized and we were given just enough time to enjoy all the stops. Our tour guide Gustavo did an amazing job, he made the tour very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone that is short on time and needs to complete all the main attractions in a single day.

Fabulous tour guide!
Our Driver Fernando was fantastic! The company had told us to get Skip the line tickets for Christ the Redeemer and the Sugarloaf Mountain tour and boy was that worth it! He stayed with us through all of our tours of both locations, and brought us to a wonderful restaurant in Rio, and then took us to the Steps and some other fantastic neighborhoods. He was courteous, interesting, passionate about the city, and fun! A wonderful day in Rio thanks to Fernando!

Clouds and rain? They're illegal in Rio. Aren't they...?
The helicopter base was an hour's taxi ride away, and I wasn't expecting that. I should've checked in advance but didn't...so fair warning everyone else! When I got there - just in time - I was asked if I wanted a cold drink or maybe a beer? I opted for the beer (I was on holiday after all and not driving the thing, so why not?).
I also opted for the extra video they make of the journey, which is e-mailed to you about 5 days later. So given that I had paid for a VIP flight, and bought the extra video offer, I was a little surprised to also be charged for the beer! And so to the flight itself.
Well, it's at that point that you realise that Rio is just like any city anywhere on the planet. It too is subject to the vagaries of the weather. Every day for the last six months, in my mind this one day, this one particular half-hour was bathed in glorious sunshine. But it could be so different. Too cloudy, too wet, too windy, too anything...And today, right now...was none of those things. It was as if I had placed a weather-order with the Redeemer him/her/itself. Rio and the weather working hand-in-hand to deliver my long-held weather expectation. Across that panoramic perfection rode one helicopter and two insignificant passengers who may have been thinking different things about their forthcoming trip, but not that they would soon be silently and reverentially acknowledging the imperial majesty of Nature and Humans to bring us, well...this.
A planet we could exist on, the luck that would allow us to develop and live this long, and the vision that would allow one person to say, "I've got this crazy idea. What I want to do is put a statue of Christ - right there...", and the vision that would allow another person to say, "Eh...OK" And they did. Then my wife and I came along. We took some pics. Shot a video or two. Ipanema, Copacabana, Cristo.
Minds so exstatically blown. Grateful to everyone for everything.
So yeah, it was OK. We'd do it again.

Well worth it!
I read many reviews that said this was well worth it, and I couldn’t agree more. I spent over two hours exploring both beautiful stops. Had I not had the skip the line, I would’ve had an additional (at least) two hours of just waiting. There are signs that are marked priority/fast. Make sure you go through those marked areas and the staff will help move you through.

Taking flight in Rio
Flying with Roto was a fantastic experience. My pilot for hang-gliding was Nilo and he was efficient in explaining what we would do to take off but also easy to speak to ( in my very broken Portuguese). The facility was neat and clean and the bathrooms were VERY clean and well maintained.
I loved that they have a covered viewing platform so you could watch others before your flight. Overall, this was a 10/10 for me. Nothing I have done to date can compare.

Absolutely unforgettable experience!
Flying over Rio de Janeiro by helicopter was hands down one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Seeing the city from above is something words can barely describe, the views of the coastline, the mountains, and the city itself were simply breathtaking.
Everything felt professional and safe from start to finish. The pilot was friendly, calm, and clearly very experienced, which made the whole experience even better. Taking off and soaring above such an iconic city gave me chills, it’s a totally different perspective of Rio that you just can’t get from the ground.
If you’re in Rio and considering this experience, do it without hesitation. It’s worth every second and every cent. I would 100% do it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
