Travel through the seaside splendor of the region and arrive at San Sebastian, a city considered the Basque Country’s most beautiful; embark upon a panoramic city tour with your accomplished guide, wandering the narrow alleys of the historical quarter and viewing the iconic Igeldo Mountain.
Climb aboard a boat and cruise the curves of the coastline on your way to Hendaya, sailing over the shimmering sea and absorbing splendid sights. Lovely cities to visit, but timing for these visits is off. Smaller cities have siestas and close up so tgeres nothing to do. San Sebastian is the only vibrant city of the 3. We did not get full time there.

This was a great trip to get a taste of what these 3 beach towns have to offer.
Aitor, our tour guide was very informative during the trip. He gave us info about the areas we drove through on our way and sent us off in the right directions in the towns. In San Sebastion he gave a nice tour of the history of the city and then great recommendations for Pitxos and drink! We definitely had enough time in each town and did not feel rushed.

We missed the tour, as the bus left at 8:30 am and we were there at 8:29 am, together with other 2 people. When I contacted the tour operator the next day, we were told that we should have been there at 8:20 am. Nowhere in the voucher received from Viator it said to be there at 8:20 am. Either it is a error of Viator or the tour operator. Anyways, the tour operator refused to re book us for the same tour for another day. Over all, it was a bad experience.

I bought a tour in English and it was actually 80% Spanish and 20% English. 1st disappointment. We had little tours and minimal explanations abt places we stopped at. In San Sebastian we were dropped in the most crowded place (crowds were due to a local event that day), why??? The guide could have avoided the local crowds noise and drinking by taking us/walking with us to other objectives first, outside the area full of locals. Very disappointed!!

Plenty of time at each stop to enjoy and explore. Guide Irthur was very knowledgable and we were the only couple on the tour who spoke English and he explained everything in detail in excellent English. A wonderful experience and day out.

Great trip to sees bit more of Basque Country.
Stops aren’t long enough to really explore, but still recommend it to see some different places outside of Bilbao

My wife and I were so lucky to have Pascu as our guide on this all day bus tour. We felt so relaxed on a Sunday as we crossed into France and visited the idyllic seaside towns of Biarritz and Saint Jean de Lus. We had a wonderful lunch in Saint Jean de Lus. Then the highlight, returning to Spain and the spectacular views of the ocean and bay in San Sebastian. Pascu is highly educated, speaks many languages
...and as an extra treat we chatted about Latin (my wife is a retired teacher) and Stoic philosophy, one of my passions. Just perfect, thanks to Pascu!

Pascu. He made the whole excursion memorable with his knowledge of the Euskadi history and roots. My last name is Sagastume, born in Guatemala, and for many years wanted to visit this part of the World. I am finally here and have enjoyed my travels. Meeting Pascu has been an added bonus. Bilbao is the prettiest City I have visited in the World, Every direction my eyes point, has a pleasant effect on my brain. I wished I could explain it better.

There was nothing wrong with the trip itself. The tour guide was very nice and did a good job of sharing the history of the places we went to. I just think that 3 locations in 10 hours is too much and I felt rushed at each one. The amount of time it takes to travel from city to city also eats up a lot of time. We were given 50min in Biarritz, 20min in St Jean de Luz and about an hour and a half in san sebastian to explore but it wasn't nearly enough time to go into the shops and explore the city. I'd prefer to visit these places on my own and take my time or choose a tour that covers fewer places in more time.

This is good tour if you want a whirlwind experience of the towns, as way more time was spent on the bus than in any of the three places we visited. All the places we saw were lovely and our tour guide was very animated, we enjoyed him, but we felt it would have been better to go to two places and have more time to explore, particularly in Saint Jean de Luz.

Estefan, the tour guide, was really excellent. All the stops were interesting and he was very knowledgeable. And helpful. I had a knee injury and he made a special effort to suggest places to visit that wouldn't too difficult. The tour was timed perfectly with enough time in each place. I used to work for two large tour operators and I now how these things can go wrong. This went perfectly. The driver was excellent as well, navigating tight roads. Thanks!

Unfortunately a motorcycle and bicycle race was scheduled for San Sebastian on Sunday and our Driver and Guide should have KNOWN and made prior plans to avoid driving into the road closure area, arrange route so the race would be completed, and drop point in close proximity to walking tour. Prior plans to cancel French border crossing changed the route already.

Great tour! Stefan was a great guide. I went in November 2021. Because of Covid we couldn’t go to the French side, no Bearritz and no Saint Jean Dr Luz. I actually liked it that we could spend more time in Hondarribia and San Sebastián. We also went to Getaria. Although it was short and rainy, I was happy we went because it was the filming location of the movie Spanish Affair.
Stefan suggested the movie Spanish Affair to us. When I watched it after the tour I was delighted to see how many specific details about the Basque Country I could pick up. I highly recommend you seeing the movie after the tour. And do learn some Basque phrases. It’s fun!

Couple of tips:
1. Wear layers. It could be very cold especially along the coast.
2. Do try out different Pintxo bars in San Sebastián. I recommend the dish served in a crab’s shell. I don’t know what it was called but it was delicious. I saw at least two places serving it and both times it was great. The name of the Pintxo bars are Casa Alcade and Baztan
3. Don’t be afraid of the crowd in front of the bar. There is no line. Simply grab a ordering sheet with numbers, survey the offering in the bar, and pick your dish. Alternatively you can order Pintxo Caliente from the black board
