We had a wonderful day. Eduardo our guide was excellent, knowledgeable about the region and crafting of wine. More than the wine, we enjoyed the amazing scenery. Being the fall harvest time the colours were spectacular.

Nice way to get out of the City and experience a little part of southern Spain

We were in the port on a cruise and decided to take this tour to see a part of Spain we have not been to before. We were picked up on time and went out to the Rioja wine region. The first stop was amazing as we walked down into the cellars for four wine tastings with bread and cured meats. We stopped along the way to the next winery to take in some views of the countryside. We tried three wines at this stop. Our last stop was at the Eguren Ugarte Family Winery for a four course Basque lunch with of course three different wines. A wonderful end to the very enjoyable day.

A Spectacular Winery Tour

This was a spectacular tour lead by a fantastic tour guide Victoria. The winery staff introduced us to excellent wines and Victoria lead us on tour of local villages. She was engaging and informative and her explanations made the tour one of the more enjoyable that we experienced.

Fantastic trip In Rioja from Bilbao with visit to the vineyard that with its different still show the traditional Rioja and the new Rioja in an interesting way. Also the good lunch with traditional dishes.
