Top Banff Day Trips

We took this tour in late August with Reuben as our driver and guide, and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly kind, laid-back, and a very safe driver. He planned the day perfectly, getting us to Bow Falls before the first tourist bus even arrived! We also visited Johnston Canyon, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and more. Reuben knew all the best hidden spots to avoid the crowds and took amazing photos of me and my family. The tour was well-paced and gave us a great introduction to Banff, especially for anyone wanting to return and explore these beautiful places on their own. We loved Lake Louise so much that we came back the following day to go canoeing! Our time at Lake Louise was slightly shortened because we had to pick up a small private tour group that was unable to access Moraine Lake, but that was just a minor hiccup in an otherwise amazing day. And the views from the Rockpile viewpoint at Moraine Lake were absolutely breathtaking! Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Reuben!

What a great experience! Having grown up in large cities most of our lives, we rarely get to see the stars. Our guide, Jacob, was wonderful, sharing interesting facts and stories about the area and pointing out constellations as we went through the trail. He also gave us helpful tips on how to take better photos in night mode. We also got to see a little of the Northern Lights! Overall, we’d highly recommend this excursion to anyone that’s thinking about it.

We did the small group half day tour of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake on the last day of the season - it was PERFECT! Our tour guide, Apple, was funny and a delight. She was very knowledgeable and knew of the best places for photo opportunities. We did a morning tour which was wonderful. I am so glad we booked through Rockies Journey - will recommend over and over again!
