You'll need a Parks Canada Pass to enter Banff. They're CA$11 daily for adults, CA$9.50 for seniors, and free for kids 17 and under. A family/group pass is CA$22. Peak season Lake Louise parking is CA$36.75 (June-September). Tours start at around US$75.

Moraine Lake, 8 miles (14 kilometers) away, is smaller, has a deeper blue color, and is surrounded by the Valley of Ten Peaks. Moraine Lake is accessible from June–October via shuttle.

Q: What’s the best way to get to Lake Louise?

Don’t drive to Lake Louise—parking is notoriously difficult (and expensive at CA$36.75/day). Instead, park at the Lake Louise park-and-ride and take the paid shuttle (CA$8 adults). Prebook your shuttle ride, as tickets sell out quickly. Or, come on a preplanned tour and skip the transportation worries.

Q: Do I need tickets for Lake Louise?

No. Tickets are not required for Lake Louise beyond the Parks Canada Pass, but you should reserve a spot on the shuttle in peak season (May-October), as the parking lot often fills up before sunrise. Make your shuttle reservations on the Parks Canada website. Early booking is essential in summer.

Best part of our trip !

This tour was the best part of our trip to banff ! Our tour guide Robbie was nothing short of amazing !!! The van was clean , the group was small enough for it to be personal . Robbie was super knowledgeable on the history of all the places we visited . He even gave us many local recommendations for food and hikes to do on our own time . I cannot say enough good things about this tour . It is a must if you visit !!

Wholesome trip!

This was a perfect day trip to explore the lakes while travelling with senior parents and younger children who don’t want to do rigorous trails but still experience the beauty of the destinations offered. Ahmed our tour guide was full of knowledge and very helpful and engaging. His jokes kept the mood light and energetic. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out!!

Wonderful way to spend the day with family

Amazing day of touring Emerald lake and Natural Bridge (Yoho), and lake Louise and Moraine lake (Banff) with family. Ahmed was our guide - he filled the day with insights on the area and parks, including wildlife, and added a great personality and levity throughout. Mr. Felix was our steadfast driver. Great team for a tour - highly recommend them, as well as the tour.

All In One Banff Experience

This is a great option to see a lot in the Banff area in one day. All the highlights are amazing. Our guide, Patrick, was knowledgeable, helpful and professional. There is an option for lunch at the Fairmont Banff. We elected to obtain lunch there as walk-ins. The meal of course was nice, but the views and the Chateau grounds are worth the extra expense.

Banff Lake Bus Tour

It was a bus trip visiting lake Louise lake moraine emerald lake and natural bridge! It was a nice tour but we didn’t visit all areas on the tour itinerary- not sure why? We were supposed to have a 45 minute stop at marble canyon. Our tour guide Ahmed was friendly! Joe the bus driver was nice and his driving was safe!

This was an excellent one day trip to see many of the beautiful lakes and see the great scenery in the Rockies. Ideal if you only have a few days and want to see many things! Our tour guide Ahmed gave us great information about the area, flora and fauna but in particular he was a great driver!

The elevation of Lake Louise is 5,740 feet (1,750 meters), while Banff is at 4,540 feet (1,384 meters); drink plenty of water to stay hydrated at the high altitudes.
Some short trails in the area provide wheelchair accessibility, such as the Banff Legacy Trail and Bow Riverside Trail.
The area’s public shuttles are not wheelchair accessible.
A Park Pass is required to enter Banff National Park and to travel on the scenic parkways such as the Icefields Parkway; this requirement is covered in most tours.
