We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Phillippia! She was very knowledgable about Greek history without it being too overwhelming. She was also very good about leading us into the shade since it was pretty hot out. A great introduction to Athens. I joined a small group and our knowledgeable guide took us all over the area, explaining the history and significance of what we saw. We covered a lot of ground and used stairs and paths to get to so many interesting places. We finished up with dinner in a nice taverna (so much food!). Thank you for a great experience.

This was such a fun way...

This was such a fun way to explore Athens! I’d highly recommend it to anybody. Our guide, Dimitris, was knowledgeable and engaging, keeping the flow of information interesting and relevant to his tour throughout. The only thing I would have done differently would be to plan this for the beginning rather than the end of our trip as he provided so many invaluable tips that we would have welcomed earlier in our holiday.

“Truly local” gastro-tour

Arela met us and 7 other guests. She did a fantastic job of explaining history and local details about the area that we walked. There was lots of walking involved, but we went at a relaxed pace and she took us to a great selection of non-touristy local food vendors. We got to sample a wide variety of foods and there was plenty for each of us and opportunity to take second serving if desired; but really there was so much food that few of us wanted to take more than just a taste. She did a great job of interacting with us so that by the end of the 3.5, we were all chatting and laughing as though we had known each other for years. This tour exceeded expectations. I highly recommend doing this near the beginning of your visit to Athens.

So much good food!

We had a great experience with Andreas as our tour guide. The variety and quantity of food was amazing. As always, I learned a lot about the history of the city and got to try some new foods I wouldn’t have otherwise tried. Perfect way to visit Acropolis

Our tour guide was Magdalini (Magda) and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We went early to avoid the heat. Magda told us stories along the way up and found shade for us which was appreciated because it gets quite hot. She was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions asked. We had some free time on top to take our own pics. The second half was the tour of the museum- I highly recommend someone do the tour with the museum because Magda’s explanation and stories of the artifacts in the museum brought the Acropolis to life. We took the tour that bought our tickets to Acropolis and Museum before hand. I highly recommend so you don’t have to deal with that issue. I highly recommend the tour. Note: our tour lasted 5 hours because of crowd at Acropolis. That was perfect for us because we didn’t have any plans afterwards but just note that crowded days may mean a longer tour.
