Wonderful adventure!

My family loved this experience! Joy, our tour guide, was great and so was our driver, Andrew. We were a small group, 15 people and traveled in a smaller bus. We would stop at least every 1.5-2 hours for a break. As we rode through Greece Joy, would tell us about the area. Then, at our destination, she would walk us through the history of the area and give us more insight into the Greek mythology. The tour included tickets to the various sites and museums, and we were grateful that we didn't have to stand in lines to get the tickets and in one case were allowed special entrance to avoid a really long line. We chose the 4-star hotel and they we ok. I think the hotel, Amalia, was mainly catering group tours. The one thing I really like is that they delivered our luggage to outside our rooms and in the morning picked the up from outside our doors. At them we received a breakfast and dinner, which were served buffet style. The breakfasts were good and the dinners had many Greek dishes. You were on your own for lunch and that occurred while we traveled to our next destination and so, between our tour guide and driver, the lunch place was usually chosen. We were happy with their choices and there was something for everyone on the menu, even a 7-year-old, that was acceptable.

Excellent Transfer Experience

Driver was already at the port though we were quite early. He helped us with our bags, which was great because I had an injury. His English was excellent, he pointed out a few important sites along the way, his car was clean and pleasant, he drove in a way that made us feel safe. Altogether about as good as it gets for a transfer.

Margaret arrived promptly in a Mercedes sedan at our city center hotel and skillfully maneuvered into the sidewalk pickup stop. She eased us thru Monday morning traffic, offered some tidbits of mythology and managed to look glamorous as well while handling baggage. I had emailed the company prior regarding our luggage. Although the European airlines allow 2 carryons and 2 checked bags, local car services will require a van, which is harder and more expensive to book. We modified our bags to the requisite one carryon and one checked per person to more easily book service.

Excellent trip with a knowledgeable guide

We had a fantastic trip to Delphi and Arachova on 27 October with our very knowledgeable and informative guide (Dimitrios of Keytours). He brought the stories, the historic remains of Delphi and museum exhibits alive. He went out of his way to look after guests on the tour. Thanks also to our excellent driver Stelios. This is a fairly long day-trip, with quite a lot of driving from Athens, so the actual time in Delphi is slightly limited but we saw all we wanted to see. There are options of lunch at a restaurant in Arachova (which we didn’t take on this occasion, to allow for more sight-seeing) plus a short stop at a preferred partner shop before leaving Arachova on the way home. Overall, the trip was well-organised, ran to schedule, included all elements as-advertised and we had a memorable time. So much so, that my family booked a second tour (to Mycenae, Nafplio and Epidaurus) the following day with the same operator and guide! (Which unfortunately was full so I couldn’t get on it myself but they had an equally enjoyable experience!).

Stress free transfer from the port to our hotel

Best way to avoid the chaos at the port. Driver shows up, grabs your luggage and gets you out quickly. Great instructions on where to meet and easy to find. People were waiting in huge lines for taxi services or city buses, we waited 15 minutes from time we exited the terminal. Save yourself some stress and do a hassle free private transport.

Great way to start when arriving in Athens!

Our experience couldnt have been any smoother. Vasilius was waiting for us as agreed with a sign and then we were ready to go for our 45 minute drive to our hotel. Vasilius was fantastic, sharing history and details regarding Athens, including a list of all the food we needed to try while in Greece. Perfect way to start our time in Athens - Thank you!

Incredible experience - excellent guide and driver

The pick up was a bit confusing with many buses, we had to go around to check our name on each. It would be better if a Viator representative meets us at the pick up spot to make it easier. The experience of Meteora itself was amazing - both the guide and driver were excellent! The dinner on the way back was very rushed, though.
