We had such a great time on the Albufeira wine tour! We’ve done quite a few wine tours over the years, so we weren’t sure how much we’d learn that was actually new to us, but this tour really surprised us. We visited two small wineries, both with fantastic wine and great snacks. We especially appreciated that it was a small group, which made the whole experience feel much more personal and relaxed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and taught us some really interesting things about winemaking that we had never heard before, despite having been on quite a few wine tours. He also did a great job explaining the Algarve itself, sharing a lot of interesting local history and background along the way. You could tell he genuinely knew and loved the area. We also stopped for a longer lunch break at a restaurant at the bottom of the hill in Silves, which was honestly perfect after a few hours of wine tasting. It gave us about two hours to relax, eat, and reset before continuing the tour. And, of course, we still managed to order a €2 half-liter of wine with lunch. 😂 Overall, it was a really fun, relaxed, and genuinely interesting day. The combination of the small wineries, great wine, knowledgeable local guide, and small-group experience made this one of the better wine tours we’ve done. Highly recommend it if you’re visiting the Algarve!
