Great arrangement. They take an extra step to fulfill our needs. It’s actually end of season but they’re willing to start the tour very late at 10:30pm. The guide Wendy is wonderful and I join the Chinese guided tour. Wendy helped to ensure we take the best pictures and willing to stay outdoor while we can keep warm inside the car and she’ll call us out when the lights coming. We’re able to see the northern light and the dancing show 😂 strongly recommend

Would not recommend this tour. No campsite, no washrooms and no hot drinks. Put on a hot packed bus and told we’d be chasing the lights for 4 hours. Asked about the campsite and was told chasing would be better as it was cloudy. Didn’t sign up for a bus ride. Got off the bus and didn’t do the tour.

We' re so sorry to read your review! We do have our campsite with good facilities. Because that night was cloudy, we planned to take a hunting tour in order to find some chances somewhere. That's a regular operation in the poor weather condition. We understand that moving night tour on the winding road may cause some customers dizzy and unconfortable, especially in dark and wild area. Night hunting tour is more like a discovery with patience and luck. Our guide must haven't communicated with you properly and served more carefully. We are really sorry that you left early and were disappointed with the hunting tour experiences. We hope we have another chance to try all our efforts to make it better.

Our tour guide, Mike, spoke almost completely in Chinese, probably because all the other people on the tour understood him. The tent area with the tepee had a cozy vibe.
There was no aurora, I understand that this is not anything that anyone can control. We waited in one area, Lake Prosperous. The sky cleared and we got a star studded dark sky.
The guide did not seem interested in going to other spots or explaining that maybe he knew that the chances of an aurora were slim. There was no effort at aurora chasing, contrary to what the description says.

Dear valued customer, We're so sorry to see this unexpected matter happened! Our tour guide thought that the dark sky with a star might be a sign of some chance and it might be better to keep staying than moving to avoid missing the possible opportunity. He didn't pay attention to change language for all customers, that's a problem and didn't work properly. We feel really sorry about this!
As Mike told, he separately took you to visit our campsite in English and arranged hunting tour late. Some misunderstanding might happened or be caused by some unclear explanation. Anyway, we really appreciate your review! We'll seriously discuss this issue and try all our best to improve our teams' operation!

Absolutely shocking experience will not recommend to any one in this world. I should be reimbursed for it. It is misleading and taking people us the customer trap in a tour that had zero chance to see the light. The business should reimbursed us

Not the tours fault but 45 minutes into the tour , what had been a clear beautiful night sky turned completely cloudy and stayed that way for the remainder of the night. it ruined what should have been a great tour. The sites we went to were great, the bus and Bill the tour guide was great but sadly the sky just did not cooperate.

Awesome experience. Jimmy very accommodating. He took us to several locations to get a good view of the auroras. He made sure we waited for the peak and took pictures we could download.

We did see the aurora. I think It would be better further away from town. The nearby lights from industrial areas were distracting. The operators were very helpful and concerned that you be warm and comfortable and let you know if the aurora was visible so you could go out and view it.

This was a tour geared to their predominantly speaking Mandarin population. The location feels cheesy … the cabin was not laid out well for relaxing. The area has things to do as you wait for the northern lights. The firepit and tee pee was nice. And the lake would have been beautiful if the lights were out. But was too close to town and felt tacky overall.

We didn’t get to see the Aurora due to cloud cover and I understand they can’t guarantee we will se it but even if we had seen it I would still give the same rating. The van we got picked up in smelt like cigarettes, the snacks were basically cookies and saltine crackers. The tour says it is usually 4-5 hours. We were picked up at 9:30 pm and brought back to our hotel by 11:30 pm. Left a message with the guide to see if they could take us out again for a second night, never got a call back. Easy $95 for them!

They hosts were very nice, the place was good. Unfortunately it was too cloudy so we weren’t able to see the aurora but they tried their best to show us.

We saw the Aurora !!! It was really great !! I’d recently spent over two weeks in Whitehorse and this evening was ten times brighter, and more active then anything Whitehorse had Aurora wise. I’d def. Recommend going with these guys. Jimmy and his colleague was were supper knowledgeable and friendly. Jimmy the owner and guide has been in Yellowknife for 35 years. Thanks again can’t wait for my other nights out with you guys.
