This was a small group, only three other people were on the tour, besides my husband and myself. Haley drove us to where she thought there would be lights and we were amply rewarded. We talked to some other people who were on different tours and they didn’t have someone who drove them to different spots based on predictions of patterns.. We had a spectacular display, and thanks to Haley who had us wait inside the warm car and then ran and got us when the light show began, we all experienced some incredible magic.

We drove over an hour out of the city and parked on a frozen lake 😬.
The auroras were bright, vibrant, and constantly dancing and moving across the sky into an arch, it was a perfect clear night.
Our tour guide Vicky was very knowledgeable and friendly, took lots of photos, make sure you dress well as temperatures dropped to -32 ❄️🩵☃️🥶.. highly recommended

it was a tour guide and a driver. The driver was very rude, and did nothing but drove the tour bus. which is kind of ridiculous because the guide can just drive. I think that's what makes this tour more expensive than others and the funny thing is it doesn't make any difference at all. this waste of manpower leads to the waste of your money. the guide was chinese, it was hard to understand her for a non-native english speaker like me

We could hardly believe what we were seeing! I've been obsessed wit h the aurora and following every photo and video anyone posts, and I had no idea they could be this amazing. I'm so grateful to our hardworking guide Janet for chasing the lights around three lakes and advising the bus driver to pull aside on the road, where we saw the most mind-blowing display around 1:30 am for the grand finale. She also pointed out a fox and shooting star. Janet also took beautiful photos of the lights and us experiencing the wonder.

Witnessing the light was a fantastic experience, even though it was quite cloudy at midnight. We went to three lakes to hunt the aurora. Snacks and hot drinks are provided on the bus.

We went hunting trying to find the lights, unfortunately the clouds would not allow for it this night. The guide and bus driver did what they could. Good experience even without the lights!

The pick up at the hotel was punctual. We got to see great northern lights and the places we went had great views. Our guide Janet was very friendly and helpful in all ways. Hope to visit again another time. + FYI, the tour was in English and Mandarin. There were warm water and snacks on the bus.

Waiting for the bus to arrive for almost an hour past its due time.
Because the bus was late to pick me up, we arrived at the location -- just as the clouds were covering the last of the opening in the sky.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Upon checking our conversation, we would like to clarify that the pickup time we provided was 22:20 MDT, not 21:20 MDT. There could be a slight chance that you understood the time as 22:20 EDT.
On Sept 2, the sunset at 20:42, if we pick up at 21:20 or earlier, there is still afterglow/after light which the sky is not completely dark, and it is still too bright for viewing the Aurora. Hence, we only schedule pickups after 22:00 to ensure that our guests have the best possible chance of experiencing the Aurora in optimal conditions.
We regret that the Aurora did not work out as hoped due to the cloud cover, and it is Mother Nature which is beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding.

We had a great experience on the bus tour. We were taken to Prelude Lake where we could see the aurora light up across the sky. Our host, Florence, was very friendly and had many interesting conversations us. It was nice to have the bus there where we could go in at any time to warm up and enjoy some snacks!

I took 3 different Aurora tours during my stay in Yellowknife, two of them were the bus tours. This tour was my first Aurora tour. Floris was our guide and she was bubbly and informative! She kept us entertained in the bus while we waited for the Aurora to show. I felt that she was able to get everyone’s group pictures of the Aurora and quickly emailed it to us the next day. For most of these bus tours, I think the guide is what makes or breaks the tour and Floris was so fun! My only criticism was that every single seat on the bus was full. It was a bit crowded as compared to the other tour that I went on. There were at least some room to move around and not so cramped.

Definitely recommend! We went much farther from the city than the aurora cabins from some of the other tours, so light pollution was much lower. We saw the aurora for more than 3 hours on two frozen lakes, and our knowledgeable guide was constantly outside taking professional photos for all of us! All the beautiful pictures were sent to us before we woke up the next morning.

イエローナイフでは３つのオーロラツアーに参加しましたが、その中では一番良かったです。中国系のツアー会社さんなので参加者は中国の方が８割くらいです。ピックアップが予定より数分遅れましたがサービス自体はかなりいいと思います。暖かい車内、スナックと温かい飲み物、たくさんの写真撮影と数時間以内の送付。オーロラ自体は光が弱く肉眼では白いモヤにしか見えませんでしたが写真は非常にいい感じでした。お勧めできるハンティングツアーです。
