Nothing against Hotrod Vienna, but they had no reference of our booking with Viator, even though money was paid and confirmation of time, etc given Viator....you need to sort it out! Hotrod, when we eventually spoke to them, refunded the money and offered a discounted tour the following day, but we took the money.

A great go kart experience if you want to drive around and see the city! My friend and I had a blast on the 10am tour with Alam.
You are literally driving a go kart on open roads. The ride can get bumpy. My friend’s phone fell out of his pocket, but a Good Samaritan returned it

A great way to see the city. It is a real adrenalin rush, with cars and trams towering above you. Our guide Rufat is fabulous. He gave us a good pre tour briefing on the karts and how we travel in the group. We have a practice with some laps in the carpark before. His commentry is good as well and he made sure we stayed together. All the pedestrians are looking and waving at us. They were taking pictures and videos of us, and all were wishing it was them in the karts. It was a blast and a must do if you are adventurous and like to have a go at something different. It is worth every cent

THE BEST THING WE HAVE EVER DONE! What a blast! Ryan was amazing. Took us all over Vienna. We zoomed everywhere. it was like being a celerity as this is very unique and people where waving, taking video and pictures of us in our Hot rods. Definitely a must! Have to say, it was our favorite thing we did in Vienna. Unique experience!

We were looking for something different to do at the end of our five day visit to Austria.
We found it when we booked an afternoon tour with Hotrod Tours Vienna.
Young at heart but in our mid 60, our partners were a little apprehensive about being in such tiny vehicles amongst the traffic but our guide Alan, was great, explained everything well and gave them the confidence to give it a go.
What a fantastic experience, so much fun and lots of laughs. Not to mention all the smile and waves we received from people as we drove through the city.
We would throughly recommend you give it a try and if you do have no doubt you will write a similar review.

We absolutely loved this tour of Vienna. What a fun way to explore the cities beauty along with a little surge of adrenaline. Don't be intimidated by the cars as my 75 year old father did the tour - hitting top speeds- and had the best of time! Our guide was so friendly and always made us feel safe in the tour and well cared for. I highly recommend this tour to see Vienna and ditch the boring walking tours!!!!

This was one of the coolest tours I've ever done. Driving through the city of Vienna in the 'hot rod' was so much fun! I had a smile on my face the whole time. Our guide gave us 2 options on the route to go and I'm glad we all wanted the same one. Seeing Vienna this way was a blast and a highlight for sure.

We had a blast on this tour! We did a 6pm tour and would recommend scheduling at a time with low traffic if possible. Previous go-cart driving experience helpful. I am 5ft 7in and could just reach the gas and brake pedals. Do not expect to absorb much information about the sites you are seeing. The microphone was only really useful when we got briefly separated. Focus on the journey and enjoy zipping around Vienna and having your picture taken! The cars are noisy and people will hear you coming. Very fun way to see Vienna!

We had a great time on the Hotrod Vienna Daylight Tour! When I booked, I didn’t realize July was part of the rainy season in Vienna, so our tour was delayed due to weather. That said, as soon as the rain let up and it was safe, the team got us on the road at the first available moment—and we really appreciated their effort to make it happen.
The Hotrods themselves were a blast and such a fun, unique way to see the city. We all had earpieces to hear the guide, which helped us stay connected while driving and learn a little about the city. Just a note: if you're someone who loves detailed history and deep cultural insights, this tour may not be for you. It's more about the thrill and experience of cruising around Vienna than an in-depth sightseeing tour.
Also, don’t forget to bring your physical driver’s license—they do check it, and you’ll need it to participate.
Overall, a fun and memorable adventure we’d happily do again!

We did the Hot Rod tours through Vienna City, you drive on the road along with the trams and cars. We had no problem driving the hot rods around the roads with other traffic.
Absolutely amazing time, the tour guide Mari was very nice and showed us some very nice land marks.
Highly recommend doing this if you are in Vienna, we did it on a Sunday, much less traffic.

The cars are fun and you will feel like a celebrity around town. Staff is friendly. Do not take this if you want to explore or experience the key sights of Vienna. Hands on wheel and traffics at all times .

This was one of the most fun and unique ways to see Vienna. You’ll feel like a total rockstar zipping around the city in one of the fastest and most fun vehicles you’ve ever driven.
If you can handle a go-kart and love speed, excitement, and a bit of adrenaline, you will absolutely love this experience. The combination of sightseeing and the thrill of driving these mini hot rods is unbeatable.

This is a one hour tour driving through the highlights of Vienna, with one stop for photos. Great way to see different stops.
It listed as longer, there prep time and a short walk to/from the cars. Would highly recommend.

This is an absolute must for anyone wanting to experience Vienna in fun and exciting way! It’s one of the funniest, things we have ever done. Mario cart has nothing on this and we will definitely book again. Mary our guide was lovely and she gives you information on all the places you pass, via an earpiece. Definitely a 10/10 experience. A special treat for my boys while we were in Vienna! The tour was led by an enthusiastic and friendly tour guide who highlighted all the must see sights where you can come back later and see at your leisure. There is also a stop off for a photo opportunity. Highly recommended for a fun and informative way to see the city. Thank you for a great experience which we highly recommend.

We recently took the Hotrod Vienna Daylight Tour, and it was a fantastic time! The tour operator was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The hotrod cars are real attention-grabbers—lots of people were taking photos as we cruised through the city.
The headsets worked well, though it could be a little difficult to hear at times due to background noise. I’m 6’1” and fit comfortably in the car, which was a pleasant surprise. The cars sit quite low to the ground, and I was slightly concerned about other drivers seeing us, but we didn’t have any issues.
One important thing to note is the high deductible for accidents, and the tour operator mentioned that accidents are not uncommon. We chose to buy insurance that reduced the deductible by half, though it would have been better if full coverage were included in the rental cost.
Thankfully, we didn’t have any incidents, and the tour was a great experience overall! I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a fun and unique way to explore Vienna.

Riding the hot rods was fun but we only made one stop to take a picture. It was hard to sight see because you are busy driving and paying attention to the road. It was also hard to hear the guide through the walk or talkies so I did not even know what we were passing. For the price of the activity I would not recommend it

the tour has allways been with one stop since 2015 and so far we haven´t had complaint as most people love the driving more like stopiing at sights.
About it the listening issue - it can be difficult but as you were in a private group there was always the chance to talk to the guide directly an let him know. thank you for the feedback.

Amazing experience! This was so much fun and a great way to zoom around the inner city. I smiled the whole time and it was fun seeing all the pedestrians and other people smiling and waving as we passed. We had a small group and it was a great experience. If you only do one thing in Vienna, this should be it!

Life is full of adventure some that you will do more than once some that you will do once in a life time. This one is that you shouldn’t miss. While you are a novelty within the city (I am probably in more tourist pictures than my own) you are experiencing adrenaline and excitement while driving through a wonderful city. Pricey but worth it, do it so when you are old you can look back and say how kick ***you are.

It’s quite fun and if you like attention you’ll love this tour. People are constantly smiling and waving at you as they take videos and pictures of you scooting through the city. I’m a big guy, 6’2” and I BARELY fit in the little car, so if you are taller than me you may want to reconsider. Fun way to get a quick overview tour of Vienna, for sure. If you’re expecting high thrills, maybe go to a cart track instead, but it is a lot of fun.

A fun different way to see parts of the city. Difficult to hear and understand the tour leader due to headset and engine noise. Need to be happy and confident driving a little car in the busy traffic. Very strange being at the traffic lights next to a tram full of people
