Good drivers that also narrate city information. Would be better if they allowed you to hop on at any stop initially but after booking said I had to start from stop 1 to pick up physical ticket.
Buses only run every 30min or 1 hour, making stops tough to plan on a cruise schedule. Had they ran every 30 minutes consistently I would have given 5 star.

Hello, thank you for your review. We usually operate on a 3-bus schedule and although it is it mostly 30 minutes in-between busses, there are a couple of times through out the day there is a 1-hour wait - which is just operationally how it has to work with that number of busses. This is why we give our schedules with exact times the busses are coming to each stop, so guests can plan their hop on hop off day around those times.

When it says 24hour hop on and off. I didn’t realize it meant they stop at 7:00 . My cruise ship didn’t port until 5:30 and I had to be back on at 9:30. I thought I would have 3.5-4 hours on the tour bus. Not happy

We'd just like to clarify that our tour description states that the hop-on hop-off service operates from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, The "24-hour" ticket refers to the validity of the ticket from the time of first use, rather than buses operating for 24 consecutive hours.
We understand that your cruise arrival time limited the amount of time you had available, and we're sorry this caused disappointment.

just visited Victoria BC and bought tickets for the HOHO Sightseeing bus. I do not recommend as it was hard to find the stops (no signage) and buses ran late each stop we were able to get to. City bus next time, cheaper too

While Victoria's city buses are a great option for local transportation, our Hop-On Hop-Off tour is designed to provide a different experience. In addition to transportation, guests enjoy live commentary from knowledgeable local guides, unlimited boarding throughout the day, convenient stops at Victoria's top attractions, and the flexibility to explore at their own pace without having to navigate public transit routes or transfers. Many guests also appreciate the local recommendations and historical insights shared along the way, which aren't part of a regular city bus ride.

Once off the cruise ship, directions to the bus stop are unclear. Once we found the not-well-marked umbrella for the hop-on hop-off bus we received good directions from the person working there to get to the bus stop. It was unclear when we got to the bus stop if we were at the correct place. We had to ask others in the area and found out that the stop is shared with the normal city bus stop. The only marking designating that hop-on hop-off uses this stop is a small sticker on a post near the stop. Both the hop-on hop-off riders and regular bus riders share the same line/area so a lot of people were confused to what was supposed to happen. The line also forms on a sidewalk making it difficult for those using the sidewalk to walk around the line. A few city buses came and went before the first hop-on bus came. I don’t know but it may have been cheaper and more efficient to use the city bus system. To use the hop-on system, you must complete all 15 stops to get back to the cruise ship. The entire loop takes over an hour and a half. If you get off at an early stop, plan on riding the bus over an hour to get back to the ship. When returning to the ship, the bus driver stopped at one stop for only a second. Several people were trying to get the attention of the driver to let them get off but he either didn’t hear or ignored them. They unhappily got off at next stop and walked back to where they wanted to go.
The whole system is very disorganized and not well marked. I don’t know how the city bus system works but it may be a better option.

Due to city bylaws, our stops cannot be marked with large signs and are instead identified by official stop stickers. To help guests locate each stop, we provide detailed stop locations on both our schedules and our website. Our staff are also available to assist guests with directions when needed.
We would also like to clarify that our hop-on hop-off service operates as a continuous loop. As with most hop-on hop-off tours, passengers return to their starting point by completing the route, which takes approximately 90 minutes. This information is provided in our tour materials so guests can plan their day accordingly.
For cruise ship passengers, our bright red kiosk is located on the causeway at the cruise terminal and is designed to be easily visible upon disembarkation. Our team is there to answer questions and help guests find the correct boarding location.

We rode twice with Norm as our guide. He was very knowledgeable, having grown up here and lived here his whole life. He was funny, entertaining, and an excellent driver through some pretty harrowing, narrow streets!

Amazing way to know the island in 90 minutes.
The 11:30 am driver was great and organized and inform us of the stops.
The 7:30 driver was not organized that the customers from passenger cruise were dropped not at the Fan Tan Alley but a few blocks away. Kept on talking but not about the island.
We stayed for two nights, but for passenger cruise customers, who had limited time, I pity them. But the driver was nice in dropping the limited mobility customer right very near the dock of the passenger cruise terminal. That was an extra stop which I appreciated.

It does not include bushard garden. Kiosk was kind of hidden. We went hotel inside n. Then asked n they pointed to kiosk. Ideally need more visibility. Bus tour was great. Also we had to Uber to collect keys to reach main location. Which was extra cost.

Overall it was a good experience and the drivers were great. However, it is advertised as a 24hr bus but it is not. We were told they all stop at 6 PM.

The experience was nice, although it was pre-recorded, which was a bit different from what we've experienced before. Considering the price, I was hoping for a bit more. I did enjoy the places we passed by, but if I visit Victoria again, I might look into trying a different tour service for a fresh experience.

I enjoyed the hop on hop off bus tour.Here's the tip you don't have to walk to where the instructions tell you to walk.Just get off the cruise ship and go to the first bus stop and they should be able to help you. We walked but was told we could have got on at the cruise ship.So don't walk a mile.

Great tour of the city and surroundings with a very knowledgeable guide (Brian); really enjoyed the route and the wealth of information that we received. We saw the rich villas, beaches covered in driftwood, the city center, modern buidmings, gardens, statues and so much more.

I've visited Victoria many times over many years and always wanted to take the hop-on-hop-off trolley ride. This trip we did it. It was expensive but was far more of a tour than expected and we were pleasantly surprised. We rode up top where view is better and next time would have a warm hoodie.

Coming from a cruise ship, they were not prepared for the number of people who booked the tour. It was a long wait for a bus that had room for us. Once on the bus, the tour was really worthwhile. The driver was knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this tour as a great start and overview of Victoria.
