Thorough and complete! Great for a fast overview of the city. Beware of the kids who run the tour pick up kiosk...very unhelpful and rude!

We were on 3 tours the week before and this one was by far the best. Partially because of what we were seeing, but mostly because of our tour guide ~ Archie. He was absolutely the best out of all the tours we did the past two weeks.

Archie our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the surrounding sights. Didn't know where the castle was located or what really to expect. From where the bus had to park to the castle was a bit of an uphill travel. The castle itself is a series of 2 flights of steps to reach each of the floors, and down stairs to the kitchen, out to the back of the castle, then down another flight to ground level going back around to the front and once again, this time, downhill to the bus. Tolmie Park offered a beautiful vista view of the area including looking out to the harbor. Due to the mainland fires the sight was a bit hazed over though. Again, Archie, shared a wealth of insight into the surrounding communities and shoreline areas we traveled. All-in-all the tour was well worth it.

Casual, scenic and educational! Very laid back tour.
Pick up location was easy to find! Bus stop and pick up could have been more convenient at Craigdarroch Castle.

We enjoyed an informative tour of Victoria City along with Craigdarroch Castle. The driver was pleasant and knew the city and history very well. Highly recommend this tour.

I would not recommend this tour if you are truly interested in the tour of the castle. This tour does not allow enough time at the castle. I felt rushed and did not have enough time to read the history that was provided. Viator needs to extend their time at the castle.

The bus driver/tour guide Patrick was very helpful and educated on our sightseeing tour. I was disappointed in the “castle “ tour. It seemed more of s big house than castle. I don’t really recommend it but the city tour was fantastic.

Christoper was excellent guide. He took us to castle and other part of city. We got to see other part of cities that I would not know if i was not taken this tour. We got to see some of nicest house and beach on Island. It was relatively short tour, but it was good introduction of Victoria B.C.

The coach driver was very knowledgeable. The coach was clean and comfortable. The city is beautiful . Just a word to the wise the castle is at the top of a hill that the bus does not climb so getting up there can be a problem for someone physically challenged. This tour is Great!

It was a fun way to get to know the city upon arrival and the driver/guide was excellent... although some of his jokes were real groaners! He kept it interesting and the visit to Craigdarroch Castle was interesting as well to see how they have been able to restore this building to it's original magnificence. Driving through the neighbourhoods was also good but I think I would have preferred a hop on - hop off bus for that which is why I gave this a 4 star rating. Just know that you are basically inside the bus the whole time other than the visit to the castle so if you want to explore a certain neighbourhood, this is not the tour for that. Overall though it was still worth the two hours.

From Winnipeg, came in for Victoria marathon for the second time. Last minute decision to book this bus tour on line, v glad to do that. It turned out to be a pleasant and memorable tour. Our driver Bruce is v knowledgeable with local history, landmarks and gave our group a quick city tour. Craigdarroch castle is very impressive structure along with its past history. The coach is v modern, comfortable and clean. Any out of town visitors should take this tour.

This was a wonderful tour with an informative guide and many interesting sites to see. The tour company makes it very easy to pick up the bus in front of the Empress hotel, and they are very organized.

The tour was well organized and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. There is a two block uphill walk to Craigdarroch Castle which was well worth the trip.

for us, this tour did not match the description posted by Viator. we were not able to get coffee or feed seals at Oak Bay, instead were taken to cattle point. also this tour gave extensive coverage to residential homes/houses, but this is not a homes tour and that part of the tour was seriously boring. the guide is a nice guy, but we fault Viator for posting an inaccurate description of the tour, thus misleading and setting unrealistic expectations for those who booked through Viator.

Victoria is a beautiful city, and we hope to return for an extended visit within the year. The lakes, flowers, October weather and climate were perfect. This tour was nice, but lacked the attention to detail that we have experienced with smaller group tours in other cities. Highlights were China Town, the tour of Oak Bay area, views from the peak, and feeding the Sea Lions. If touring again, I would choose the Gardens and skip Craigdarroch Castle.

As city tours go, this tour is fine. Bus/Tour driver gave some commentary. Saw various areas in and around Victoria. Great views from Mt. Tolmie of surrounding area. Criagdarroch Castle stop was too short.
