We did not have a very good experience. For the price of the ticket we could have done our own pubcrawl. We booked this for my best friends 40th birthday and we only went on the boat once. The appies you got with the drink purchase was not very good, pretty much chips and salsa or pita and humas. It was a very disappointing time, we actually did not stay our last stop either. We won’t be booking again.

We did want to clarify a couple of details for future guests reading this review. Our Pickle Pub Crawl includes four local pub stops and two harbour ferry rides. On this tour, the other eight guests continued with the full experience and completed both ferry rides. Unfortunately, as you chose to leave the tour early, you only experienced the first ferry ride.
The tour also includes complimentary pub-style appetizers with drink purchases. We start with calamari, followed by casual pub snacks at the other venues, which can include items such as hummus and pita or chips and salsa. As this is a pub crawl rather than a food tour, the food is intended to complement the drinks, pubs, ferry rides and social experience rather than provide a full meal.
We completely understand that this style of tour won’t be for everyone, and we’re sorry it wasn’t the right fit for you. We do, however, want to make clear that the full itinerary, including both advertised harbour ferry rides, was provided to the guests who completed the tour.

Very cool adventure on the Victoria waterfront! Great views...great drinks and a great host! Bronwin was amazing. She provided interesting Victoria history along the way and made the adventure fun too!

We had a blast on this trip. Bronwyn did a great job including everyone and getting us talking. Got to try some new things like the shaft and the calamari at the first place we went to was the best I’ve ever had!

We didn’t know what to expect when we visited Victoria off of our cruise ship but this pub crawl was amazing! Garret was our guide and he brought us to 4 pubs. Both the drinks and the apps were out of this world. We made friends along the way and couldn’t have asked for a better time

This tour had the potential to be great, but we didn’t see some of the promised landmarks and our guide “accompanied” us more than “guided” us. I hoped to learn a bit more about Victoria or at least about the areas we visited.

If you want a short boat ride around the harbour for an affordable price, while also having a few brewskis. You get to meet people visiting Victoria from around the world and check some really cool restaurants and bars along the way. The tour guide was British ✅ and loved to join in on the fun 🥨. The included appetizers at each place were very tasty and a nice bonus. Would definitely do it again and bring family/friends.

Mike was our phenomenal, knowledgeable guide. We toured 4 pubs with Mike, 3 in the inner harbour and one at Fishermen’s Wharf. There were 10 of us, most first cousins and a couple of friends who came together to celebrate my sister Margaret’s 60th birthday. We had loads of fun and ordered extra appetizers at each pub. The tour came with a shared Appy for every 4 people, you had to purchase your own drinks. It was a blast. I would definitely recommend it.

We joined the group late due to our ship’s arrival…missed the first stop but that was fine..in addition to the fee for the excursion you buy your own drinks. I was told by the guide that the fee covers the water taxi and appetizers. This is the first pub crawl we’ve been on where it’s buy your own drinks. Our first stop we bought 2 beers and the cashier told us that this will apply to the appetizer discount (?) she explained that the charge is reduced by how many drinks are purchased. We found that interesting.
The last stop with our group of 8 the guide got us seated and he said he was off (?) and he left us sitting at a table wondering what the deal was… a few drinks were ordered..by the people in the group…eventually an appetizer showed up..
Needless to say we were all in agreement that this ended up being an excursion that was expensive.
I feel that it should be explained in detail what the cost covers and that you buy your own drinks at all stops.
I think it should be said that this experience wasn’t what we expected…

We're sorry the experience wasn't what you expected. We do want to clarify that drinks are not included in the tour price. This is stated in the tour description as well as multiple times in the "What's Included" section, which explains that guests receive complimentary appetizers with the purchase of a drink at each participating venue.
The tour price covers your guide, two harbour ferry rides, reserved seating, and the appetizers provided throughout the experience. The drink purchase requirement is part of our partnership with the venues and allows us to keep the tour price affordable while supporting local businesses.
Regarding the final stop, the guide's role officially concludes after ensuring the group is seated and the final venue has everything needed to serve your group. It sounds like your appetizers arrived shortly afterward, but we understand that if this wasn't explained clearly it may have felt abrupt.

Drinks are not included so it could become a pricy excursion if you want to try the drinks. The tour guide was amazing, and the food in two places was phenomenal. But I wouldn't really call the experience a pub crawl.

Our Pickle Pub Crawl is designed to showcase some of Victoria's best pubs while sharing the city's history and local stories along the way, rather than being a traditional bar-hopping or drinking-focused crawl. Drinks are intentionally not included so guests can choose what they'd like to order, but we do schedule every stop during happy hour to help keep costs down and offer great value.

Such a fun experience for a group outing or even a date. It’s a great way to explore local restaurants, try different foods, learn some Victoria history, and enjoy water taxi rides all in one adventure. We had an amazing time, and Georgia was an incredible host who made the whole experience so enjoyable and engaging. Highly recommend if you’re visiting downtown Victoria!

My wife and I went to Victoria for our anniversary. We had a great time drinking some beverages and having appetizers around the town. We got exactly what wewanted. A nice relaxing time visiting fun spots and trying local brews

Arrived and waited by a 'Please wait to be seated' sign at the front of the first restaurant (not really a pub) with 6 other people from the tour. We were there about 15 mins, nice other people but not a welcoming or professional start! The 'guide' who was nice enough was sat with his back to the door chatting to 4 other tours participants! A green waistcoat but no other indication of being the tour!
We then took forever to be served, paying individually for drinks takes time, the snacks provided were difficult to share (congealed nachos!) and we were then told we were running behind time!
The next stop is cute, we sat in full sun and no facilitation occurred to try to find a better table. 'Snacks' were piles of wedges only, not even good ones and we were expected to tip for going to a counter, ordering a drink in a plastic cup and collecting it from another counter! Not sure what the 'service' was but we all did anyway!
Next a hotel rather than a pub. Cocktail list presented. Cold sprouts as the 'snack'. The waitress added 18% tip on top of sales tax and came with the card machine which prompted a further request for a tip on top! (To each person individually again!)
At this point the idea of having drinks included came up. Basically you are paying for 2 short water taxi rides!
Last a noisy pub with screens all over on the corner of the tourist area, not exactly a 'hidden gem', nothing interesting drink wise and some white packet 'pittas' and 'hummus' was given.
That was the end. It was all rather lacklustre and we all commented that some information about the sights or the city would have been appreciated. Even local specialities as the snacks!
Might be just what you are looking for or not!
I've done some brilliant bar/pub tours, this wasn't one of them! It wasn't awful, the guide was on his University holidays, he was pleasant. It was just uninspiring and not thoughtfully arranged.

Fun activity but would have liked more of the boat and better appetizers. The appetizers were good but wish they were more substantial than chips or fries.

We enjoyed this little pub crawl. The walking was a little more than expected and the ride on the pickle boats a little less than expected. A few of the places don’t have GF options so plan to eat before or afterwards. We loved meeting our guide and the lovely people who were in our group. The stop to watch the air show for a little bit was a nice touch that made it extra special.
